IPhone 5s :: This Cable Or Accessory Is Not Certified Message For Official Charger?
Aug 25, 2014
I am using the official charger that came with my iphone 5. one it doest charge just shows the "this cable or accessory is not certified......" i used another cable and it works just fine. but i when i use the official charger that came with it doesn't charge. just the same error.
I bought the iPad (which I am loving btw!) on launch day but was a little upset when the cable was different than the one I had been using for my iPod touch for years. A couple of accessories kind of just went down the toilet. So I did a little searching and couldn't find anything, but do you guys have any idea which cable the new iPhone will use? It would be very convenient for me if it used the iPad cable as that would give me a second one without having to go out and buy it separately.
I have purchased new iphone 3gs, its usb cable and charger not working. When I plugged in usb cable to my laptop it says"usb power hub exceeded". When I use another cable I have, it works fine. But the original one not working.
I am getting a message every 10-15 seconds that says that the accessory is not optimized for the iphone, even though the phone is not plugged into anything. It is draining the battery very quickly. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
When I plug in my iPhone 5s I get a message saying "this accessory may not be supported." I have done some research and I have found that this occurs when you use non apple certified chargers, which by the way I am not using. I have also been told not to use the iPad adapted either, which I am not. So, if I am using the original cable and adapter, then why am I getting this message? What should I do?
1st question - Is there any problem if i unplug iPhone 4 charger first, instead of the cable connected to the mobile phone, after the charge is completed?
2nd question - Is it advisable to do a hard reset once a week, in order to mantain phone/battery at their high capacity?
Iphone 5 died last week. Completely dead. Can't be salvaged.  Problems began after software update and the "this accessory" may not be supported error messages and issues. Â
Trying to wait to purchase a replacement after Sept 9th I reactivated a iphone4. Working fine. On a job, using it, put it in my bag, pull it out, its COMPLETELY dead. Will not turn on. Not recognized by itunes, won't turn with any approach. It also had the software update. Â
What in the world?? Â
So now I have two dead phones and two weeks until the 6 comes out.
Has anyone talked to a rep at least and told that they are looking into it? Would be smart to just come out with a generic statement. "we are aware of the connection problems some users are having when hold the exterior of the phone and are working on a solution" would be nice to hear.
I have a CK-100 car kit and trying to find a replacement/upgrade charge cable (CA-134) with a USB micro B connector instead of the 2mm that is fitted. The user/installation guide mentions that an alternative USB cable may be supplied but all searches have failed to find one. The alternative is to make up a cable RJ45 at the CK end, I can buzz it out but does anyone have the pin out for the RJ45? I've tried the CA-146 adapter and to be honest it's naff - it runs hot and the output is reduced to the point that whilst running my satnav app the phone will discharge faster than it can be charged, I've also tried the adapter on a standard car charger with the same results.
I've had a 9300 curve since august and love the phone. However recently I've been noticing a problem with the charger in which I've had to wiggle it around to make the phone charge. However I tried it with the USB cablbe before and the USB slotted in fine and did not seem loose at all. I guess it's the charger that's broke? Perhaps the cable is loose or torn inside or something?Should I just get a new charger?
In the user guide for the Droid RAZR dock (part # 89525N ), there is a split audio/charger usb cable. This cable also shows in several catalog photos for the car dock.I purchased the car dock from a Verizon (official) store, but only got a straight audio cable. what the part number for this cable is, and (b) where can I order it?
Just recently my Defy refuses to recharge using the mains socket charger connected to the usb cable. It charges perfectly well through the computer and also through my car socket..........what am I missing?
I have an iPhone 4s. I have downloaded the most unto date iOS version, then plugged the apple charger in. The phone came up with a message stating "charging not supported with this accessory". However, if I hold the charger into the connector, this sometimes charges the phone. Seems strange this only occurred after iOS update"
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, happened on 1st charge after update
This is not the same problem as the earlier post today from the guy getting this message in error. I have a car hook-up that uses the dock connector into my CD changer and it works just great. It was originally for an older iPod so it doesn't charge my iPhone 3Gs but I'm OK with that.
Every time I plug in however I get "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone". I know it's not made to work with iPhone, I understand what it's telling me and I'm happy with that - is there some way to permanently dismiss this message?
I've been getting a popup message on my iphone saying "This accessory is not supported by iphone" lately. In this site I came across the solution which is to delete System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.accessoryd.plist.How can I delete that daemon? Please help!!! The solution Apple gives me is a restoration and I'd only do that if it's really my last resort otherwise I rather not.
Can anyone think of a valid reason why Verizon should not waive the early termination fee for those of us who bought the problematic Tour 1 (which has now been discontinued other than Certified Like New Replacements) and allow us to trade up to the Tour 2, which is supposed to be better. We would sign a new two year contract, of course. I am on my third 9630 and still have to use tape to correct the battery door wiggle and use a questionable trackball. My latest was made in Mexico, replacing one made in Canada. For those of us who bought when they 9630 came out, we still have about 1 1/2 years to go on our contracts and our phone was discontinued after only 6 months and replaced by a new model. What is wrong with this picture?
I just picked up the iPhone 3gs on Monday and have two questions that. Forgot to find out before I got the phone. I bought a white iPhone 3gs and wanted to know is the phone still plagued with overheating and discoloration problems? Second question I am wondering if I buy a mophie juice pack air a coupple of months would that negatively affect my battery on the iPhone. What I mean by this is I heard that aged four hundred complete charges and draining of the iPhone battery the phones battery only holds 80% of the charge it use to. My question is does using a charger help increase time it takes the iphont to reach 400 chargeres quicker than it would if I did not use the charger?
rapid recurrence of the "Disconnected Unplug your charger from the outlet to conserve energy" pop-up message on their Atrix homescreen? The last few days I've been getting this pop-up message quite often (every couple of seconds to sometimes a minute or so apart) while the phone is still plugged into the A/C wall charger. Occasionally it will remain on the screen for minutes at a time, and in fact one time I was able to catch a screenshot of it. The charge cycle is usually complete (90% to 100% indicated). Everything is stock - battery, wall charger, and non-rooted phone on 2.3.6. This is not a loose connection, as I've checked that. It seems to have started occurring around the time the Market was replaced with Google Play Store, and the subsequent update to 3.4.7 which fixed the App Drawer icon issue. Don't know why this would cause what I'm seeing, but just though I'd mention it.
After I have connected my 5230 to my computer using the USB cable (definatley in Mass Media / Storage mode) , the next time I open messages after the cable has been removed I get a pop-up telling me the selected memory is not available and defaulting back to the phone memory (I have the momory card set as the message memory).
My new nokia N8 is constantly coming up with the message "connect usb cable to device". I'll click ok and 2 minutes later it will reappear. When I connect it to a usb, it disappears but will then reappear when I unplug. I've tried updating software but none is available, and there is no programs running on the phone. When I turn off and on I still get the same problem.
everytime i unplug my phone from my charger its comes up with a message saying built in media storage not working, please repair or format so when i click thaat it says unable to repair or fix!!! ive tried wiping bb but still no joy.
I have been getting an "unauthorized charger" message lately when attempting to charge my phone. I'm using the charger that came with the phone. This is the second time I've encountered this issue with the Entice W766 and am wondering just how common the problem is. The first time I encountered the problem was a few months after I bought the phone. My phone went from holding a charge for 3 or 4 days to holding a charge for less than 24 hours. Verizon was able to reproduce the message in their store and, in the end, I ended up with a replacement phone. Fast forward to today, over a year later, and I'm having the same problem all over again... unauthorized charger... phone not holding a charge after most charges. I seem to get a good charge about one out of five tries. It's all Motorola branded gear.Better yet, is there a fix for it that doesn't involve going to the Verizon store and begging for a new phone?
Each time I connect my 5233 via datacable and when disconnected then following happens.Current theme takes a while to appear backMessage storage memory goes to c: phone memory and i have to manually change to e:memory cardis there a fix for this, I'm running the latest firmware and using windows 7 ultimate.
