My iphone will not wifi sync. My wi-fi in my house is good. I have rebooted the wifi. I have it turned on in itunes. I have done a hard reset on my i phone. I dont know what else to do to get it to work. I have it pluged in a power source to sync and it dont show it in i tunes.

I am trying to sync my iphone 4 with my iMac which is running mac os x lion 10.7.4. All softwares are updated. My iphone does not show up on my itunes. However my home sharing works fine and can also use the remote app on my iphone to play songs on my imac remotely. When I go to itunes sync tab in general settings of my iphone the sync now option is available and it recognizes my imac. but when i click on the sync now button it keeps looking for the imac and gives up after a few minute. The sync over wifi check box is checked and iphone and imac has no problem syncing on usb connection.

I am using an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.2 and a Macbook Pro with OS X 10.9.4.My iTunes is 11.3.1 - 64 bit..My iTunes cannot seem to detect my iPhone when the latter is in the vicinity via wi fi.However I can connect and sync via the USB cable thus some recent posts that I've read on this message board regarding how Apple has apparently completely obliterated USB and wifi sync (they have allegedly made syncing possible ONLY through iCloud) is not true, at least not on my setup.Â
I've restarted my computer and iTunes but to no avail. I will now restart my phone but I'm not sure that will solve this issue. I have noticed this happening before and on all earlier occasions, deselecting then selecting the 'Sync via wifi' option in iTunes has solved the problem. Alas, this is not the case this time around.Â

My iPhone 4S refuses to WiFi sync (automatically or manually) because it seems that it cannot locate my iMac. Everytime I try to manually sync over WiFi by going to Settings/General/iTunes WiFi Sync, I can press the button -- IT IS NOT GREYED OUT -- but the sync constantly says "LOOKING FOR iMac and then timesout. I cannot see the device in the iTunes sidebar unless I plug in via USB -- as soon as I unplug, my iPhone disappears. The basics: Making sure the WiFi Sync box is checked. Made sure both devices are connected to the same WiFi network. Uncheking and re-checking the Wifi Sync box and re-syncing. Making sure that "Open iTunes when this device is connected" is checked. Made sure that "Prevent iDevices from syncing automatically" is unchecked. Restart all devices (i.e. iPhone, iMac, Airport). Hard Reset iPhone. I have also tried: Restoring the iPhone from a backup. Restoring the iPhone as a new device. Deleting all existing iPhone backups. Wiping the Airport Extreme and re-configuring. Using the "restart your Airport from your iPhone through Airport Utility" method that has been suggested. Hardcoding IP's for both my iMac and iPhone into the Airport Extreme. Disabiling wireless security on the Airport. Disabling Mac OS X firewall. Port forwarding the necessary ports. Uninstalling iTunes using the necessary terminal commands and reinstalling. Opening the ports Apple suggests in the WiFi Sync support article on both the Airport and the OS X firewall.
Some notes: I know my iPhone and iMac are aware of one another because the Sync Now button isn't greyed out. I can also PING my iPhone from my iMac using the Network Utility successfully. Two other family members have 4S's in my home on the same network that sync with Windows PC's without issue. Whatever this is, it's isolated to my iMac.

I've been struggeling to get wifi sync to work correctly with my iphone 4. I have the newest version of itunes on a Windows 7 PC. When I first open itunes it sees my iphone over wifi and syncs successfully. A couple minutes after syncing completes, itunes loses my iphone.My iphone still shows up under devices, but if I click on any of the tabs in the device it then brings up the dialog box searching for the phone, then it tells me it cannot find it and it disappears from devices. If I close itunes and reopen it the iphone shows up again and syncs

I have wifi syncing issue. I used to connect with my two computers, one is my home PC (win7 64bit), the other is my office Macbook Pro (Lion). My iphone's itunes library is on my home PC, I have checked "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi" on itunes options. In general, wifi syncing is working if iphone connected to my home PC only with USB.
At office, I used itunes on my macbook pro to listen iphone's music. So, I connected iphone to macbook pro with USB, then loaded my iPhone's music. (not push sync button). At home, I plugged my iphone into charger generally, then turning on itunes that couldn't find my iphone 3GS for wifi syncing. For resolving the issue, I need to sync with USB once, then it would work again, but it's so annoying.

So the other day, I had plugged my roughly 2 year old iPhone 3GS into my macbook pro to charge, when it suddenly had a strange crash and said it needed to be restored. It took several hours to finally restore after many -1 errors. Now however, it cannot start syncing so I cant go back to the way my iphone was before the restore. Also, I can't use wifi or iMessage - it says that my username or password must have changed when it hasn't at all, and the wifi option is just gray, I cant even open it in settings. Nothing seems to be working, except basic texting and calling.

Alright, I have an iPhone4 and previously had a laptop which I used to sync my iPhone and to transfer music. I had to change to my laptop and the old laptop is gone. I did copy all my songs and contacts (as windows contacts) to a potable disc.
On installing itunes on my new laptop, I was Not able to sync over wifi (had the wifi sync optioned selected)Not able to transfer music from new laptop

it just started happening 2 days ago and I just keep getting the message that sync is temporarily down and will return shortly. When I hit sync all again it just does the same thing again. My Wi-Fi is working fine on my desk top but I did shut down and boot up again. I also shut my phone down and restarted.

Last night I tried to add an album and when it started to download it shut down and there was a message "missing files connect to DM via usb and sync. I could no longer see the option to "Show home library". The problem is that i forgot that I had deleted that album from itunes so they were no longer on the physical drive. I could not get rid of the missing files error so I deleted wifi sync application through DM. Removed all music and then synced up via usb again. I then reinstalled wifi sync. Now, I get the message "no computer library found". I don't know what changed but I have tried everything to get it back. It is a business phone so enterprise email and my business' IT policy dictates a lot but I do not see that this would interfere. IT policy has Mass media mode disabled. When I plug the phone into usb I have only "Charge only" or "Media sync" as options. If I choose "media sync" I have to enter my password and desktop software does not see the device. The only was for desktop software to see the device is when I plug it in I have to enter my password on my PC screen and not make a choice on the device (Media sync or charge only). It syncs fine through usb. I see my entire itunes (Or WMP I tried also to same effect) and I can sync the music I choose. But away from my pc and there is no way to see my home library anymore.

The iTunes playlists are no longer displayed in the BlackBerry Media Player and my BlackBerry can not longer connect to WiFi Desktop Manager. It is only through the USB connection. But after the USB connection is missing, as I said, the playlists. If I delete the WiFi application on my BlackBerry, I see now the playlists. View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is probably a configuration issue on my end that I cannot figure out the answer to....but when I am out of WiFi range, or I turn WiFi off my email wont sync or send and I get the error "Network Not Available: The message will be sent when the network is available" As soon as I turn wifi back on , it's fine. Is their a setting that tells an email account to only sync on WiFi? Or only send when on Wifi? It seems to ignore the 4G LTE network.
