my Iphone 4 is still syncing via wifi even though wifi is shut off in itunes and on the phone. I'm sure it's syncing via wifi because when I open up wifi sync on the phone via settings the progress bar is loading. How do I shut if off?
I recently upgraded to a new Computer (MacBook Pro running Lion). and have the Itunes wifi sync on my iphone still showing for my 2 old computers (Macbook Pro and Windows 7 netbook) I want to know how to remove those devices from that list so it only shows my new Macbook Pro...
The USB ports on the laptop (MBPro) that my iP5 syncs to have stoped working (have reset PRAM and SMC - that didn't work), so I'm wondering if it's possible to turn on wi-fi syncing on the phone and in iTunes so I can back-up and update the music/pictures?Â
The MBPro is mid 2009 and has a few hardware issues - USB, DVD and headphone port are all not working, so am expecting to be up for a replacement soon, but in the interim, I'd like to see if I can get this sorted out.Â
Info: MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2009), OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)
I bought my bold 9900 yesterday it have some problem with wifi connect..when turn off WIFI connected ---> my phone turn off..I try up Os ( Bell ins. ) for it but no have change Bold 9900 : vendor 331.
I have had some troubles with my Bionic the past few weeks.I have a Wifi network at home but not in my Office or car.I will keep the Bionic's Wifi at home on all the time, but will turn it off whne I leave. Many times when I will either walk into another place of buisness or just get a text message when the Wifi is off,it will turn the Wifi on.So,it's searching for Wifi and taking the battery life down as well.I have taken the battery out with the Wifi on and rebooted.
my sk17i wifi is malfunctioning. it automatically turn on and turn off. i dont know what happen. and i always get notification for facebook, gmail. but i dont have internet connection.
I'm frequently travelling with my iPhone and never figured how to do the following : Turn off everything except WiFi I can turn off the data when outside of my zone, but I still get connected to a mobile phone provider wherever I go. One could argue that I could simply NOT answer my phone when getting incoming calls, which is true, indeed, but I can not refuse incoming SMS, and I get charged for that. how can I very simply turn everything off BUT the WIFI.
I'm a register Developer from Mexico and I downloded the last beta software for iOS... everything seems to be working just fine but can turn on the Wifi, it seems to be unavailable in gray.
I have an Iphone 4s and lost my WIFI when I upgraded to 7.0 (a known problem). I have backed up using ITunes. Reset to factory defaults and did a restore from backup. WIFI will still not turn on. Reset Network settings... Still no WIFI.
Is there an easy fix for iPhone 4 WiFi issue? It is greyed out and I cannot he it to turn back on. Have tried freezer method and resetting network options.
My iphone will not wifi sync. My wi-fi in my house is good. I have rebooted the wifi. I have it turned on in itunes. I have done a hard reset on my i phone. I dont know what else to do to get it to work. I have it pluged in a power source to sync and it dont show it in i tunes.
I am trying to sync my iphone 4 with my iMac which is running mac os x lion 10.7.4. All softwares are updated. My iphone does not show up on my itunes. However my home sharing works fine and can also use the remote app on my iphone to play songs on my imac remotely. When I go to itunes sync tab in general settings of my iphone the sync now option is available and it recognizes my imac. but when i click on the sync now button it keeps looking for the imac and gives up after a few minute. The sync over wifi check box is checked and iphone and imac has no problem syncing on usb connection.
My iphone has frozen and I can't turn it off or charge it or sync it or go to any other pages. I tried removing my sim but that didn't make any difference. I can't receive calls they just get my voice mail and obviously i can't make calls. I have tried holding the lock button in for long periods but it makes no difference I can't turn it off either.
I thought I read the feature they were adding was that you could toggle it so wifi never went to sleep, or hibernate, whatever they call it, so that IM apps and texting apps on a Touch could stay active. I'm seeing what I think is the Wifi on all the time, and I'm now getting alerts from Beejive when someone texts me, but I see no setting anywhere to turn this off. Is it simply on with no option to turn it off?
Is there anything in Cydia that automatically turns wifi on when you're at a specific location then back off when you leave that location? For example, when I go to school it automatically turns on, but when I leave it goes off again?
my 4gs works fine, except.... the wi fi in general settings is not able to turn on. the icon stays light gray and does not respond to touch the bluetooth shows 'off' and then sits & 'spins' when i tap it. ive re synced, re set, etc
Couple weeks ago I changed something on my win. 7 OS. Now, for some reason, none of my apple products are available for sync over wi-fi. Had previously worked for months with no problems. Is there a trouble-shooter?
I have been syncing my iphone 4s by wi-fi for ages but now it does not show up in the devies list so you can't sync unless I attach the cable. The sync over wi-fi button is ticked my phone/itunes and bonjour software are all up to date and installed but it just does not show in the devices with out the cable. Phone is connect to the wi-fi and working
I am using an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.2 and a Macbook Pro with OS X 10.9.4.My iTunes is 11.3.1 - 64 bit..My iTunes cannot seem to detect my iPhone when the latter is in the vicinity via wi fi.However I can connect and sync via the USB cable thus some recent posts that I've read on this message board regarding how Apple has apparently completely obliterated USB and wifi sync (they have allegedly made syncing possible ONLY through iCloud) is not true, at least not on my setup.Â
I've restarted my computer and iTunes but to no avail. I will now restart my phone but I'm not sure that will solve this issue. I have noticed this happening before and on all earlier occasions, deselecting then selecting the 'Sync via wifi' option in iTunes has solved the problem. Alas, this is not the case this time around.Â
So as well all know, AT&T uses a ridiculous set of cellular frequencies that not only produces a lower signal (compared to Verizon,) but also puts a lovey "DA DA, DA DA, DAT DAT DAT DAAAA!!!!" sound in my speakers! (GSM interference) I've tried the tricks with the little things you put on your speaker cables to catch the stray RF noise but they did not help and I am SICK of this stupid sound that gets transmitted into every set of speakers I have.
The only way to fix this is to shut off the cellular network by putting the iPhone into airplane mode. Then, I can play music from my iPod and not have the stupid interference playing as well. The only problem is, now I can't stream online music like Pandora, etc because Airplane mode shuts off my WiFi? So is there any way I can shut off the phone, but leave on the WiFi?
