I would like to use a third party app to create a vpn that utilizes my mac mini running Lion and allows ios devices like an iphone to connect to the vpn using the native applications on the iphone ipad etc. Any thoughts? I already tried LogMeIn and it allowed remote log-in to my mac nicely actually but the tech support assures me I cannot use the app for a vpn that would allow native software use on ios devices.
Info:
Mac mini (Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4), iphone 4, ipad 2
I'm considering the 9800 as my next phone. Right now, I'm running a Tilt2, WM 6.5 My contacts & calendar events are synced via Microsoft MyPhone & Google sync. Will the Blackberry OS import that data from either of those sources? And how easily will the Blackberry set up & handle hotmail & Gmail?
iPhone Spy Stick which can get your deleted personal information easily. The folks at BrickHouse Security have released a USB dongle that connects to an iPhone and downloads all of the information stored on the device, including deleted files.
I just brought z2 a week ago. but the unit is very easy to get hot. it's seems to me that z2 has hot dispation issues. it gets hot even i didn't use any camera function, such as play audio , watch viedo. if compared with my previous phone (other brand) , i almost didn't experience such a hot issue.
I'm not a fan of DRM, I think it's a mindless short-sighted technology that only inihibits legitimate users. All music and software is easily available DRM free through illegitimate sources that shall not be named but are trivial to find. So I wasn't pleased when I synced my BB this morning with iTunes (9.1) and found that it didn't copy nearly 10% of the songs due to DRM issues. Sadly all these songs (31) were legitimately purchased on iTunes. This had not been a problem previously.
So either the desktop manager update I have (5.0.1.37) or the latest iTunes (9.1.0.79) has upped the ante on DRM to drive people away from buying from legit sources: the net result for many users is to continue to bypass legitimate purchases of songs, to avoid such foolishness. I know better than to approach Apple: they do not support iTunes, and I don't know the best method to feedback to RIM.
I have an E52 and I can't turn off the WLAN. I set everything to off but still when turn on my home access point it connects to it almost instantly and the battery runs off easilly. WLAN scan is set to off, show wlan availability is set to never, and when it sees networks around it shows the two parentheses around the antenna in the main screen (( I )), and when it sees my access point it connects.
I have 2 gmail accounts set up on my BB and both work fine. I'd like to be able to access each account easier. As it is now I have to toggle through the account list to switch between accounts and it seems that I always get mail in the account I'm not currently in. I know, it sounds minor, but anything to save a few keystrokes multiple times throughout the day.
I have a Nokia N97 mini. I know the screen is not easily breakable and mine is not, but I think it inner screen is mashed and needs replacement. It shows this blue ink in some places on the screen. How much as an estimate will the changing of the screen cost me?
how to easily switch bike profiles? I have two bike profiles set up, and when I start a workout I would like to be able to select the bike profile for the bike I am riding. I can't select the bike when designing a workout in the portal, and the only way to change the bike on the device is to change the default bike in the settings prior to starting the workout. Seems like it would be simple to just tap the bike profile and switch to a different bike before you hit the start workout button.
Hi, I recently got pokemon red on Meboy, and since this game requires quite a bit of clicking, i was wondering if the screen can handle this, and will all this clicking wear down the screen mechanically?
I am brand new to Blackberry and am trying to edit my address book. All the telephone numbers from my old Mobile Phone have been imported to my Bold, but it’s labeling them all as “Work” contacts, which isn’t true. How can I manipulate these numbers easily on my Mac computer? I downloaded Blackberry Desktop Manager for Mac and have backed up the contacts (as a bbb file, I think). But still finding it difficult to actually see the phone numbers and manipulate them on my computer.
1 - Not all n900 applications i find on the net are searchable or listed at all on the n900s built in application downloader. some files i download manually off the net are in gz and deb format. do i need to install the nokia pc software and transfer them to the phone in order to use them, as i cannot find any other way to do it? from using google there are an awful lot of users saying the nokia software does not work very well at the moment and to avoid using it until its fully adapted for the n900, as some features are supposedly unusable?
2 - is there an easy file unzip program for the n900, hopefully easily found within the n900s application downloader? i tried searching for 'zip' and 'unzip' but nothing crops up
When i get to the wifi setup screen (no wifi available) it wont let me continue with setup without selecting a wifi network...there isnt one around so cannot continue with the setup, is there no way around this ?
I have a new-to-me device, after my original Curve 8530 had to be sent back to the carrier. I restored old settings from a backup re Desktop Manager, but now there are messaging problems. One, my setup folder doesn't have an e-mail setup option. Two, in "Email Reconciliation" option, only chloice I have is to change the e-mail account on "Message Services" drop-down. Related to that, if I'm in "messages," my Options screen lacks "Reconcile Now."
I bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today. The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.
Have just bought a new E72.A 4 GB memory card is already inserted by Nokia and it has a lot on it - maps etc I guess.I am getting a 32gb card for additional stuff. How can I easily get the stuff from the original card onto the new card - can I just transfer it via a PC??
i can not find the setup wizard or setup for that matter. the folder that should have setup reads "extras" and inside reads calculator and currency converter.
I recently re-activated my old Storm for my wife (her first smartphone). After reactivation, I tried to set up email so she could check her Hotmail, but the setup wizard only shows one option - enterprise email through Exchange. I know when I use to use the Storm myself, I had both Hotmail and a POP email account set up with no problems. Is this a device issue or a carrier issue? I had Bell activate the Storm on a minimal (200MB) BlackBerry data plan and the phone seems to work fine (as a phone, at least!)
After changing network I had to re register my new sim for the blackberry service for my email. When i entered the email set up program it prompted me to update from 6.10.1119.1125 to 6.11.0324.1701. After this i rebooted the device and tried to setup my email. When I enter the email setup program it "hangs" on "checking for updates" or sometimes "checking settings" . It will not go past this screen and I am unable to set up my email. I have contacted Three Uk customer service and they have no resolve. Can you help as I cannot use the email service on my blackberry. I have also tried to setup on the website but it says I must setup on my device for the 9800 phone.
I was given an iphone4 and want to run the initial setup on the phone ( it has been wiped but the setup program does not start when the phone is turned on).The instructions said to follow the prompts but the phone just opens.
I'm looking for a good VPN service that will be easy to use and setup on my iPhone 5 and other computers (i.e. Macbook Pro). how to setup the VPN on the iPhone. so I can use the public WiFi in my hotel room. Â
I have set up iCloud on my iMac and on my iPhone 4s. I can send an email from my iPhone to see on my iMac but not the other way around. If I am to recieve an email from a friend I want it to appear on my iPhone, and all my mac devices, thats the whole point of iCloud.
I'm going to the U.S. in June and I'll buy an iPhone 4S. I'm not going to bring a SIM card with me cause I'll not make any phone calls, I only to take pictures and shoot some video. But lately, a question is on my mind... Can I do the iOS 5 setup w/o a SIM card and still be able to use all of it's functions except the phone related?
