Jul 1, 2012I have two contact lists on my iPhone...
1. From My Mac
Where is this one coming from? My computer or somewhere else?
2. My Account
As far as I can tell, this is the original list from iCloud. How do I get rid of the From My Mac list without deleting the other list?I have checked iTunes... it is not set to sync contacts.I have checked iCloud and there are no duplicates there.

Mar 27, 2012I recently purchased some music from iTunes on my MacBook Pro while experiencing some problems with my internet. Eventually I got the songs downloaded to my computer, but it caused a weird error on my iPhone. It appears that the music I downloaded tried to automatically download to my iPhone but never started. The songs are just sitting there with the downloading icon next to them, but they are not downloaded. I have since syned my phone with my computer, causing these songs to become duplicates. My computer does not recognize that my phone is downloading them and I cannot delete them from either my phone or my computer. I have tried removing all of the music from my phone and resyncing it to no avail. Here is a photo of what it looks like on my iPhone: I have since purchased more music from iTunes and this problem did not occur. Also, I have tried going to the iTunes app and checking the downloads tab, but nothing appears there.

Now that I have a new blackberry I really want to get rid of these duplicates so that I can actually persuse my contact list. Is there a way to select multiple contacts to be deleted? Sep 7, 2010I have duplicated contacts in my BB Curve 8900. The count given by BB is 1120 (my address book) but it seems it is more 3300 (3 times each). About 15 of them are not duplicated.It is synchronized with Lotus Notes with BES at the office (I think). All was perfect for many weeks. I install Desktop Manager at home and I twice export an ASCII file of my contacts to have them in Excel. Then my contacts were 2 times duplicated.
I try both solutions suggested on forums :
- RSET in Options on device : it wipes contacts and repopulate them later. But they were always present in the BB, even if in the options I can read Numbers :
- In Desktop Manager, Advanced option under Backup and Restore, I clear contacts (Address book, and Address book all) : databases show as empty with no records, but records are still there twice before repopulating. After that, each contact is present 3 times.
I have been looking for a solution on many forums without solving my problem even with many topics talking about it. I would like to remove all contacts from the address book and resync after.Anyone have any ideas about how to wipe Contacts that refuse to be wiped?

When I have tapped the top right corner, opened the delete mode and tried to 'click' on the photos it says it is an unsupported file. When I open up the pictures individually and tap the top right corner it doesn't even bring up a delete option. I really, REALLY don't need all my memory used up with this junk.

I really like this feature because my 9700 will always have an updated list of contacts.But since I did a device switch, I had to register the email account on my phone again. Now I see 2 contact lists associated with my email account. For example, my gmail has 200 contacts, so on my BB i see 400 contacts all duplicated. If go into Contacts Options -> Contact Lists, I see the same gmail account twice. There is no option to delete one.

I set up a second email account and synched all my contacts not thinking that the handset would show them all twice. I found that you could show only one set but i had to go into options and do this every time i wanted to display only one set of contacts on the device. In the end this drove me nuts and i've since deleted one email account as it is rarely used for anything other than purchasing things over the internet. I thought that this would resolve the issue and the deleted account disappeared as you would expect but there is a hangover in the contacts lists where it still shows both sets of contacts and i can see the old gmail account is still there. I've rebooted the device and been through all the menus and the only place this old email account exists is in the contacts folder.
Ideally i would like both accounts on the handset and for it to only display one set of contacts from one account at any time while still synching both email accounts when any changes are made on the handset.

But somehow the same calendar file was added multiple times and now I have 5 duplicate calendar entries for each day.Is there a way to delete these calendar entries without deleting my old calendar entries? The .ics file was a fixture list of a club and has a lot of entries so deleting them one entry by entry is not an option.
