IPhone 4 :: Yellowish Tint On Ones Screen Not On Others
Aug 17, 2010This may sound like a bit of a thick statement but I got my iPhone last week, it's a week 31 build, it has a bit of a yellowish tint on the screen compared to my dads who get his launch week.
When comparing both side by side, the display on his is a lot clearer than mine, I cannot see a single pixel. However on mine they are visible, not individual pixels but more like horizontal bands when changing the viewing angle. How is it possible to see them on one iPhone but not the other? Could it be a cheaper display, the yellow tint making them more visible or a fault?

Apr 6, 2012What to do when you have a yellowish tint on your screen? My screen is yellower than my daughters (also iPhone 4s) and much more yellow than my sons iPod touch (4th generation). Is there any solution? It´snot the glue, I had the phone for three weeks now.

Yeahh ; I noticed after I left it to charge ! The screen had changed , it was like it had a yellow / greenish tint . I found out when I increase the brightness to full , the color goes back to normal but when I dim the brightness ; instead of going dimmer or darker , the color changes . There's a different array of colors , it starts of with dark green then to orange , red , dark red before finally dimming at a dark blue .. Its really pointless since I cant see half the time when this colors are there and who wants to view their screen in full brightness all the time ..

Sony Ericsson :: Satio - Camera Shoot Out Comparison
Apr 1, 2010I've been using the Satio for the last months and I've been happy with it. It has an overall good build quality, nice UI and and impressive camera, even though the lack of sharpness and those boring smooth edges. However, I was flirting for some time the Nokia E72 and I decided to give it a try. I enjoy its build quality, size and qwerty. The only drawback in the swap would be the camera, or so I thought (the xenon flash is, obviously).
Before I sell the Satio, I had to do a photo comparison! And well, this comparison seems to be pointless and I'm sure everyone thinks that the Satio will perform much better. So did I until I came home, gathered the pics and started comparing them. Before the comparison please note that:
- The first is from Satio
- Full auto in all photos
- Satio photos: 12MP
- E72 photos: 5MP
- Flash: Off
- Image stablizer: Off
- All photos were taken with my hands as still as I could. Different shutter speeds in the same light conditions may cause blurriness and I'll also consider that since it may be important for the photo quality.
- Nokia E72 does not have lens protector and I just cleaned its' lenses a couple times during this. Its photos may suffer the consequences of some dust or grease in the optics.
- Satio is updated to the latest generic firmware
- E72 was not updated yet and is branded to T-Mobile.
What do you think? Is there a 7mp size difference here? Curiously, in some cases, the E72 photos became with a bigger size than the Satio's. You can check all the comparison photos I took here. In these photos, the "s" means that they are from Satio and the "e" that they are from the E72. In the underscored photos "e0001_1" I've increased the sharpness level to "hard".

Jun 4, 2014I just bought my iPhone 5c a few months ago, and a few minutes ago I just realized that the color on the screen has changed colors. The colors on the screen vary depending on how the screen is angled. The colors vary from purple, green, and pink tint. I've tried turning my phone on and off as well as resetting it, and nothing is working. The color tint is just in the middle of my screen from the top to the bottom of my screen; not on the sides, however it is still very hard to see my pictures in my gallery or even use social networking sites or anything for that matter.

Mine loads pages about ten times faster than the one in that vid did. Faster than all those phones, at least it seemed that way. Maybe I can find people with them and compare side by side that way.

Jun 23, 2010It is my goal to own two iPhone 4s tomorrow morning at 7am via my local Apple store without a pre-order. However, my girlfriend and I are currently on a Verizon family plan and despite me constantly explaining how the iPhone will be the best investment she will ever make (I even used to have my own iPhone at the same time as the Verizon phone), she still needs more convincing that AT&T is at least pretty similar to Verizon's service and monthly bill.
Shortened story shorter (the point): I'm looking for some type of up-to-date comparison chart/website to compare the two. I tried Google but couldn't find anything worthwhile. I have a feeling if there's anything out there, MR would know.
I just thought of something else. Incase Apple is so busy tonight that they don't want to cancel Verizon and set me up with AT&T until they "officially" open the store (10am), can I still just pay for the two phones and set them up with our old Verizon numbers and new AT&T plan at a later time? Obviously I would do this to insure I have the phones in my possession and won't need to wait until they have new stock.

Feb 10, 2016my 1020 is experiencing many problems, first of all I must mention that the screen was changed after being broken, and then the problems started, display colours went yellowish and too bright, screen locking alone too many times when battery gets below 65%.

Dec 22, 2015However, I tried taking a few photos in full darkness with flash on or even in low light. I realized that the flash was very dull and did not produce sharp photos as should happen when the flash is on. This phone has dual LED flash and I can still say that my Galaxy S3 with single LED flash had a better performance and produced really good photos with flash on.
The problem I see here is that the flash is kinda yellow in color while S3 had a pure white flash and that too extremely bright, however, with N6P thats not the case.

May 21, 2012i just got the phone today from the apple store as a replacement so i take it its brand new, and when i set it next to my friends iphone 4s his white color on the display is cleary whiter and every color is more sharper. I have my brighness all the way up like his and all setting are similar. You can cleary tell that ts a yellowish white, not clear white.

Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Bluish Tint On Its Screen
Dec 28, 2012Id like to get your opinions re my Xperia Neo's screen. As you can see below, a bluish tint appears on the upper portion of the screen and extends a little sideward to the right (depending on what is being flashed on the screen). The tint goes off whenever something white is flashed. What could have caused this defect/irregularity? My phone was bought from an online reseller and it has 2 more months of service warranty remaining.

Sep 15, 2012I've been looking for this (because i want to buy this phone), and I found that if the phone goes over 40 Celsius degrees the screen will get a yellowish tint, for the Xperia S, I believe the answer by Sony was to replace the screen, but I have not find nothing related to Xperia pro. I live in a really hot place (basically 45 Celsius degrees all day) so this is a big problem for me. Is there a solution or was there a change on manufacturation process or something to fix this?

Aug 19, 2014Okay, so camera always worked perfectly. Yesterday received KitKat update 4.4.2 and now in low light conditions my camera has a purple hue.
This is not a hardware issue. It is clearly a software issue and the 4.4.2 KitKat update appears to be garbage. My girlfriend has the exact same issue since updating to 4.4.2.
