I keep a number of notes in my iPhone, but when I connect to itunes on my Mac and sync, about 3/4 of the notes (not all of them!) are duplicated on the phone. If I go in manually and delete the duplicates, the next time I sync, they will be duplicated again, appearing in pairs in the Notes listing. The content of the notes will be the same, as are the creation dates.
Weird problem here, my Notes application cannot find the notes I've written, it's like they were auto-deleted. The first time it happened I thought maybe I exited without pressing done, thinking maybe that saves it. But it's happened to me several times. I write a note, press done, exit out of the program. Open up the program and the note is still there, but after a day or 2 it's just completely gone. I'm not even syncing it or anything. This is on a ip4 with 4.02 and no JB.
Has anyone had problems with notes disappearing from the iPhone notes app? how this happens and how to retrieve the lost notes that have not been backed up since the last backup was done
My wife and I both have iPhone 3Gs. My service provider is GiffGaff. My wife is on O2. We use the same iTunes library for syncing data though our phones are named differently. Our problem, and specifically MY problem, is that she receives my SMS from me to my contacts and their replies? If I send an SMS to a contact she gets it, followed by their reply. I also receive the reply.
I have my AOL email account set up on my iPhone 4, and I get duplicates of every email that I receive. So when I open my email there is 2 of every one listed, and when I delete them I have to delete both of them.
Under Photos on my iPhone I see Album named Photo Library and Album named iPhone, which are duplicates. I'm only synching the iPhone Album from iTunes. What am I missing?

I got both my iPhone and iPad sychronized with my outlook exchange account in my company. This setting has been applied over a year and I re-added the account after i got a 4S. However, outlook contacts started to duplicate (some up to 10 times) from 8xxx contacts to 9xxxx contacts since 2 weeks ago. I didn't turn on iPad and I consulted the IT department they said they needed to disable activeSync on my account to test first. Do you know if it's iPhone/iPad problem or ActiveSync problem? What I can do? I did try to remove all contacts in Outlook and restored a backup (8xxx contacts) but after a while, the outlook contact started to duplicate again and even generated up to 6xxxx contacts again.
I recently purchased an iPhone 4S (came from a droid) and my contact list was in gmail. The service provider "copied" my contacts from my old phone to my iPhone and when finished, most of them came over in triplicate. Is there a way to merge, delete duplicates; short of manually? If done, will they come back during a sync
My contacts keep dropping out of my contacts randomly. I created a duplicate backup and renamed it, then I renamed my iPhone 4 and created a backup, thinking that when I went to restore from the previous backup under the old name that it would still be in the list (it wasn't). I went to my backup files and see the file there but do not see it when I try to restore manually through iTunes. recover my missing contacts and inform me of why my contacts drop off randomly. I currently use mobileme also and am not sure if this is the culprit.
I have a 4S, and recently when I input an event into my iCalendar on my Mac, then snyc my phone it creates duplicate events on the same day. Then, it won't allow me to edit or delete any of those events on my phone. In ordet to do so, I have to go back into the iCalendar and delete there, and resync..
I have duplicate songs in my iPhone 4S. But everything is normal in library. I have unchecked the "Sync Music" and then tried to syncronize. I thought that this would delete all songs from my iPhone, so after that I would add my songs again and I would have solved the problem. Syncronization was completed but only the HALF of the songs were deleted. I couldn't delete the other half from my iPhone. I checked the "Sync Music" again and tried to sync again. Nothing has changed. I deleted my whole iTunes library and resynced again, nothing has changed.
In the end, I had to delete every single song one by one (I had like hundreds of songs.) with this "slide to reveal the delete button" move. Many people have asked about this problem in this support community but no stuff has brought a soluotion so far. This is sad, really sad.
Note: These music files can be seemed and played in iPhone but they doesn't exist in iTunes, you can only see the proof of their existence at the bottom of the device summary section in iTunes, I mean the size indicators.
Note 2: The proof I mentioned about is dissappearing temporarily when I check or uncheck the "Sync Music" checkbox. But after the syncronization it's coming back.
Note 3: The problem has occured this time (Yes, it happened few times before.) while I was texting to a friend during syncronization of new music files.
Since recenty trying to back up my iphone to icloud quite alot of my contacts in the phone have duplicate addreses. The extra address is slightly different, as if the address field have been filled in incorrectly.
How to make a custom ringtone. I am running the latest version of itunes. The problem is when I right click the edited song and select Convert to ACC, it shows that it's converting, but then no duplicate file appears.
My iPhone4 Contacts has duplicated contacts "From My Mac" and from "iCloud". This probably happened becasue I was syncing to myMac before iCloud services came on line. How can I erase all the contacts from my mac?
