My iPhone is connected to wifi just fine. Data will not work on wifi but works fine on at&t connection. My iMac is connected to same wifi and works just fine.

My IPhone 5 will connect to wifi and the cellular says LTE which usually would work. Safari will load pages VERY slowly but nothing else will work. The Facebook app says "Network Error"- Messages wont send and I cannot download IOS 7.1.2 because it says "Software Update Unavailable" I have tried restart and resetting my phone. I have also tried resetting my network setting. And I have tried more than one Wifi connection. Nothing is working.

When I had ios 6 my imessage was working fine despite me reading complaints then I updated to ios 7 and it stopped working I have tried all the tips and tricks posted on the web it'll work maximum for a day and stop. I will be starting to type out the message as imessage then it's sent as a text because at that split second it decided to stop working again. Â

I recently dropped my White Iphone 4s down a toilet on a night out!!! I quickly picked it up and took it home and dryed in off and placed it in a bowl of rice and a few days later everything was fine and working just like normal apart from some water under the screen. Also the Wi-Fi option on my iphone just isn't displayed and greyed out.
I have also recently updated the software on the phone to the new 5.1.1 which i have seen there has been problems with about the wi-fi dropping and not being displayed. I would just like some advice if anyone else has had this problem and if which i think it probably is, the hardware has become loose inside the phone and its not the software.

I have a Linxys router that works fine with my PC, Xbox, ipad, google chrome and Television. For some reason mine and my wife's iphone 4s iOS 7.1.1 will not connect all of the time. It either will tell me, "unable to connect" or it will connect to the wifi but internet will not work on the phones. This always happens in the evening. The phones will work sometimes during the day. I have logged into the router and there are no other devices connected to the wireless other than the ones that I have in my house. I also have a "guest network" that has always been turned off. All of my other devices always work while the iphones won't connect.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedI never had the issue with the 2G/3G/3GS, but once I got an iPhone 4 at launch and then the 4S, the issue has always been the same. It doesn't matter which network I connect to. Websites load incredibly slowly, apps download slowly, and it's impossible to stream anything or install an iOS update via wi-fi.
I connect to the same networks on my iPad 2 (as well as multiple laptops, both PCs and Macs) and it's always very, very fast.
The funny part to me is that the router is an AirPort Extreme, though I have the same issues with both Cisco and Netgear routers (haven't had any others to try).
My wifi doesn't work ( i cant surf) with data services off. and if i keep data services on that is if my blackberry services..and surf the webpages ..my balance gets decducted..but i have unlimited blackberry plan. and on the first place my balance shouldnt be deducted because i am using my wifi ( in case my page gets open through wifif not blackberry services) and if i am using my balckberry internet either way my balances shouldnt get decducted.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThere's the timezone issue they have to fix, all inbound txts are in a different timezone.Also, when Im at home with 3g and wifi activated, apps will have alot of trouble getting to the internet. I have to disable one to get networking to work. Ill try locale app but networking should work seamlessly.Now I see the 3G icon and the H icon whirring away and I have 'Mobile network' disabled.Anyone else having these network issues? Does the Legend notify you if youve had an OTA update?

When I enable Mobile Hotspot or share the connection through USB, the other devices connect just fine, but no data is received at all.
* Tested with both a laptop and another phone
* To rule out carrier restrictions, I put the SIM in a Nexus4 and enabled Wifi tethering, then connected to it with the S5, works np, just not the other way around.
Will Razr Maxx GPS work without have a WIFI or data connection? For instance, if you were outside the country and you had no phone service or wi-fi service, would google maps still be able to show your location?

this has been a problem since i've had this phone, but i assumed it was the source i was watching (Internet, netflix, etc), but eventually narrowed it down to my phone, or possibly router, are loosing the interent connection, despite the wifi symbol still in the notification bar.
toggling wifi off then on again will fix the problem most of the time, but usually only for a few minutes. i'm usually able to access the interent on my phone at first, but after a minute or two (or sometimes much longer) the interent drops again.
restarting doesn't change anything (on either my phone, or the router, or both). i have a new-ish netgear router (~1 year old), and i have no problems with any other wifi device that use the home router (including a roku, and another android phone).
blackberry9700....Email worked fine until I had to reset my password for my work account, now I can receive email via the blackberry from this account but cannot send. Send fails with "contains an invalid email address". My service provider and RIM have not been able to figure this out so far. Email account is not full, can access from a pc and send/receive. so problem is specific to the bb system. I have read where others have had this issue, and that plain txt messages work (they do not for me) and also that you can delete the message body of the original in the reply and that works (kludgy at best) but I cant seem to delete the body of the message in the reply.

The steering controls work fine too until the phone locks or sleeps. I tried many different music apps and every setting in the screen and security settings. View 15 Replies View RelatedAT&T and iPhone data use charges - WiFi and cellular link options Many people have complained about unusual data usage charges on their AT&T iPhone bills -- often 10s of megabytes in one transaction, posted in the middle of the night. Here are a couple of updates based on the AT&T support portal: WiFi vs cellular link: Connecting to a local WiFi hotspot and turning off your cellular data connection will block cellular data transmission and related charges. (Except for SMS messages, which are very small.) There are some gotchas, however: (a) If your iPhone goes 'to sleep' (the screen goes black), it will revert to the cellular data link, unless it is plugged into a charger. (b) Even if your iPhone is plugged into a charger, it will revert to a cellular data connection if the WiFi link drops, e.g. due to a momentary glitch with your internet provider or electric power supply, so.... (c) The only way to completely ensure that your iPhone will not revert to a cellular data connection is to turn it completely off. You (obviously) will not be able to receive calls, however.
Large data transactions in the middle of the night: Unusually large 'chunks' of data that are apparently sent around midnight are a related issue. You may think that you could avoid these mystery charges by making sure you have a WiFi connection running at night. A number of 'czars' on AT&T's site stated, however, that this is are simply an artifact of AT&T's billing system, which "aggregates" transactions that occur throughout the day into one summary charge, which is posted in the middle of the night. If this is accurate, the data connection(s) you use throughout the day will determine how large this 'summary' transaction will be.
Note: Our bill does not appear to square with AT&T's explanation. For example:
