IPhone :: Crashes / Shuts Down Using Apps Since Updated To IOS 5.1
Jun 20, 2012
I have an iPhone 3Gs 16GB running iOS 5.1.1 build 9B206. Since the upgrade to iOS 5 we have experienced the phone being shut down (crashes) while using them. At first I thought it was due to low battery, but it does it at full charges as well. It does it more specifically with apps that use a lot of memory (or refreshing of information online), such as maps, weather, facebook, etc. Should I revert to an earlier iOS?
I have this problem for the last week, everytime i try to open my camera app, it stands for a second showing me a pixelate screen, than Boom, the iphone shuts down
Even if i try to open with Instagram of Powercam or any app who uses camera, it still crashes, I have iOS 5.1 and firmware 2.0.10
This is an error that i noticed the last weeks ago how u can see in the video my smartphone crashed. I have also updated to the latest firmware. Does it happen that the smartphone do too much and just reboot?
Since updating my OS the audio files that i often transfer to my curve will crash the phone except for the very bottom file on the "all songs" menu inside the BB music player. It is the strangest thing, and very problematic. I have loaded random music files on and switched priority and it is always the last file on the list that works and everything else above will cause the crash. To help clarify some info. The music files are from an itunes playlist and they are all spoken word that range from 5-7hrs each and i have from 2-4 of them at a time. BB desktop manager is the method of syncing and the method of updating the OS as well.
My iphone 3gs shuts off when flipping to different apps or running certain apps. If it crashes badly I need to plug power to the device to bring it up. This happens whether i have even 90 percent battery life.
Subject says it all really. This generally happens when I'm sending messages, but anywhere where I used to get the red underlines or autocorrect, it now just exits the app.
Although I started out with only sbsettings and BITEsms, my collection of JB apps is growing pretty quickly... If for some reason your phone were to crash, do you keep a list or backup somewhere to remember which apps to re-install? what is the best way to go about doing this?
I updated to OS 5.1.1 but now App Store only brings up very old Apple ID when trying to update. I have changed ID/Password on the support page and can access my account through iTunes and even through Settings>Store>Apple ID. I have signed out/in, restarted phone and everything works fine EXCEPT whenever I try to update apps through App Store it brings up an apple ID I haven't used in years and is not even recognized on the support/reset pages.
I am very frustrated with Apple for not supporting the iPhone 4 with iOS 8. Because iOS 8 isn't available for the iPhone 4, I am unable to download a plethora of apps.
I just updated to the ios5 and have lost many of my apps and I'm also having trouble installing new apps - keep getting the message that I Must use the Canadian store, even though I came through the link on the Canada iTunes. Does this have to do with my apple ID being changed to the MobileMe email address?
Ive updated my iphone4 which seemed to take forever but as I've never done it before I have no time to compare. Now its completed I have had to sync my music back onto my phone but I cannot seem to retrieve my apps. From where I can retrieve my apps?
On my iphone4, I cant download any more apps until I have updated my security info. They automatically take me to a security info page, there are 5 blank questions i must fill in e.g. whatwas first job I had. but every time I select answer it refreshes the page, so i can never finish updating the security info and thus i cannot download/install any more apps on my iphone. It is very weird because I already have ONE security question on my apple ID, so why do I need more? And the fact it refreshes etc worries me that im being hacked/a virus of some sort I cannot change my security info anywhere except on my phone it seems?I tried on my apple ID, but its different, as thats not the same format, it is only one Q, whereas i was asked 5 on my iphone?
I'm experiencing random reboots and apps crashes. My phone was rooted a month ago. I tried to wipe partitions, make a factory reset, format partitions, flash stock 1 file and stock 4 files (with pit file inside). Sometimes the phones freezes and I need to restart it, sometimes it's rebooting by himself. When I'm working with it about a minute, apps start crashing.
My Xperia Z2 crashes every 2 weeks and the only way I can fix it is to do an online repair, after crashing it sometimes won't get past the loading screen and if it does no apps work, if I can fix this without buying a new phone that would be great.
I like that my apps currently get updated automatically, but I don't really want to see it. If I turn off all alerts/notifications for it, in Settings > Notification Center, will the automatic updates still happen?
i have the timeout for my screen set for two minutes. this is normally good as my major use is checking e-mail or surfing the web. if i am watching a Internet video longer than 2 minutes or using navigation the xoom shuts off and i have to press the power button and then play (if i was watching a video) to continue for another two minutes until it shuts off again. here's my question.. am i missing something in settings or do i just have to adjust the screen timeout time every time i want to use an app that doesn't require me touching the screen for 2 minutes?
I just go my Droid Razr Maxx two days ago, and after installing a few apps, I tried performing a search in the All Apps screen. An error message popped up saying The application Home-screen (process com.Motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. try again. and then the Homescreen reboots and everything works except in the All Apps.
I have not being able to use some app like whatsapp, viber, foursquare..my Firewall keeps blocking these apps from running. It tells me java.io.IOExcetion:no working transports.
i ve installed microsoft apps 2.01 but there is no editing option in it its showing microsoft apps 2.01 in installed apps but while opening dco or xls file a pop up comes "can't edit file"
Only apps for windows phone 8 are being updated and are even included new features and stability fixesEven angry birds space &star wars are Xbox live enabled for wp8I thing we the first generation Lumia owners will be left behindand we will never get new apps ad updated appsI know my POST will be PREMOVED in a few hours Because it is a TRUTH
I've been looking at the APKMirror site and notice there are numerous updated Google apps which appear to be later versions of the stock versions. E.g. there are higher versions to Google Play Store and Google Play Services to which I currently have (Marshmallow 6.0 MRA58N). Am I safe to assume that installing these more recent versions will be of benefit? I also assume it's likely these apps will be updated with the next release of Marshmallow. Lastly would installing these more recent Google apps interfere with future OTA updates?
Way to integrate updates of system apps into rom? On 5.0.1 you have just simply copy app and lib folder from /data/app to /system/app, but it seems that this isn't work any more.
Is there a way to see which app were updated by the system? My S5 is set to automatically update all apps. Yesterday, Jan 12 2015 some apps were automatically updated by my phone. Since then, the phone is overheating and does not appear to charge (wireless) at a normal speed...If I could figure out which apps were updated when, then I could either roll back the update or remove the apps.
