WHile trying to resolve a no sound from speaker issue I used compressed air on the USB port and when brought to the genius bar was told the phone had been in water because of the LCI .The phone has been nowhere near any moisture but this becomes a moot point with Apple and the LCI.

When uploading my pics for my contacts, (doesn't matter if they're taken from FB or taken with camera), they upload blurry/compressed.
I spent 4.5/hours with customer service agents from Verizon to Motorola. They concluded I needed to exchange my brand new phone after a factory reset and several "cache and data clearings" did not work.
The new phone is doing the exact same thing. I thought I could just deal with the contacts being blurred, until I tried to upload a profile pic onto Skype & I couldn't make it out.
Factory reset does not work for this. Nor does clearing the cache/data.
I know the "share" option compresses videos. What about the old copy paste method? Or a third party app? Thoughts..Also, I heard the iMovie app can send non compressed videos. Can someone confirm this?

I then properly disposed it. I then contacted Apple for service but they want me to send it in. I cannot send it in because I disposed it.

My iPhone 4 stuck on recovery mode and my lock button is broken.normally i have to hold down the lock and home buttons at the same time and it should be fine but obviously with a broken lock button i can't do it.
I thought that mybe i will open the back of my iphone and then i will tigger the lock button from the inside of the phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to ICS and being forced to do a FDR, I eventuallly realized my Smart Actions were no longer woking properly. I deleted them and was adding them back one by one. The ones that are not location-based work okay but I cannot actually get a location trigger to save. I press on Location, it shows me my one location I have set up right now, I select that one, press done to go back out to the smart action page, but the location value is not set. I tried clearing the cache, system and app, already but nothing changed.
I just realized I can set a location if I am not editing a sample action. Starting with a blank rule, it works but I still hae so save the action and then save the trigger.
I know you can use "cheese" and similar words to trigger the camera to take a photo, but how can I do something similar to trigger the video recording?
I want to use it on a tripod to record video, but start it while in front of it. Sure I could edit out the start where I walk back around in front of it, but that's going to be a pain that I shouldn't need to do.
I believe the switch that detects when the phone is opened / closed is barely working. I have opened the phone up and cleaned it, but the problem still persists. I like the V600 because it is quad, unlocked (im out of contract with t-moile) so I can swap sims and use it when overseas. I could renew the contract and get a free phone but I couldn't find any free flip phones that have quad on t-mobiles upgrade page.Suggestions on what to do? Replace internal parts or bite the bullet and pay for a new phone?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've just updated my Razr Maxx to ICS several days ago and ever since then the Location trigger I use for work is completely unreliable. It's constantly turning on and off all day long. I mainly use the smart action here to make sure my phone is automatically on vibrate throughout the day at work and I can't really rely on it at this point. Prior to updating to ICS it worked perfectly.I noticed you do not need to leave WIFI on anymore for location triggers to work, but at the same time I see wifi in my battery usage while wifi has toggled off. Is this new version manually turning on WIFI to determine location? I've tried leaving WIFI on and it doesn't seem to make a difference, it's still inconsistent.Also, I've already tried resetting Smart Actions to default and wiping out all smart actions and starting from scratch.

I don't seem to have that trigger in the version of smart actions on my new Droid 4, though? Is that a hardware sensor limitation? Or do I need to change a setting somewhere to make that trigger come up in the list?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently had my phone reset to factory settings. I've gone through and installed all my apps etc back on to it and updated the software to the current build (all stock, and not rooted).
I have had 2 issues with it, the first being not being notified of emails from the gmail app - sync was ticked, as were the relevant labels...still didn't get any notifications through. I read somewhere that if downloaded the gear app (for smart watches) it would resolve it - it has seemed to, even uninstalled the app and I'm still receiving notifications.
The 2nd issue is around the fingerprint lock. If i leave my phone to time out, the fingerprint scanner lock works as it should do. If I lock the phone with the power button, it bypasses the fingerprint scanner and only locks it with a swipe.
Before updating / factory reset it worked as it should do.
When using the camera button to take a photo I must half press the button to trigger the autofocus. If I just full press the button the camera will just take the photo, but 9 out of 10 will be out of focus because autofocus has not been triggered. If I touch the screen, the phone first focus and then shots. Is there some setting to force the autofocus even when I press fully the camera button? I want the camera button click to behave just like the screen touch. Is this possible?
