I have the Apple Digital AV adapter to connect my 4S to the TV via HDMI. It's ok for watching videos or anything not needing input. I'd really like to use it for mirroring games onto the TV but the cable is so short, the adapter gets in the way and is always falling out and it can't be good for the iPhone or the AV adapter. I hoped I might be able to use dock connector extender cable and have tried three so far, all of which say they carry, video, data and charge (17 core) but none have worked so far. Is what I want to do impossible or is there a cable out there which will do the job? Do Apple make such a cable?

The digital av adapter worked perfectly for 3 days then when the iphone 4s was shut off and restarted I began to get "this device not supported by iphone", messages and it has completely stopped working. Any one else with the same issues or aware of a fix provided by apple. I''ve seen alot on ipads and ipods but not many issues with the iphone.

I have taken the old steps for creating a ringtone in iTunes 8, going from a .mp3 to .m4a and then to .m4r, but once I have changed the file type from .m4a to .m4r and placed the ringtone in the music file in iTunes, the ringtone will show up in the Ringtones folder, but will not sync to my iPhone 3g. Also the file is only 35 seconds long. Any suggestions? If there is any other info you need let me know and I'll tell ya.

It is added as part of the All Contacts group. This occurs on iPhone 5C running IOS 8.1.1. Seems to be a bug.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the iPhone 4 and whether I use the contacts app or the phone app to make a new contact, when I try to add a picture, it never saves. You would have to first create the contact, then go back and edit it and add a picture either by taking a photo or using an existing photo. Am I the only one having this problem?
Also, if you, for example add in name, number, etc then try to snap a photo, not only will it not save the photo, but the info you just added is erased kinda strange.
Can you create albums/folders to store photos? I noticed when you view your photos it say "albums", but the only album is the camera roll, IE all your photos.

I found one option to go on icloud and make new groups and add the contacts I want to those groups.

When I plug it into the computer it's very confusing viewing the latest photos because of this. In DCIM folder I now have "823WGTMA", "858HDJES", "860OKMZO", and "965YOKDJ". Every once in a while a new folder is created, seemingly at random times. These names make no sense, I can't rename them, I can't simply move the photos all into one folder, and I can't even see some of my photos from previous phones. This is a complete mess right now.Â
