I was just curious as to whether anyone had any idea if Apple was going to be creating a new car dock for the iPhone for their new navigation system, or will they be using TomTom's dock.

I've been using the universal dock for almost 2 years with my iPhone 5 (using a genuine adapter from 30pin to lightening) and everything was ok.
a week ago I've opened the iPhone to switch the flex cable because the on/off button barely worked and also switched the battery with a new one, everything was genuine and now the dock refuses to work
it does charges the iPhone but the remote doesn't work and the audio doesn't go to the speakers connected to the dock, it get out of the iPhone speaker.

Purchased the Navigation Dock few weeks ago and at first the dock worked great with a few modifications to my phone case. I would place it in the dock and Car mode came up instantly and it would start charging. I noticed after about 2 weeks it took more pusing down to get it to recognize. I since got a TPU case, which is thinner and the issue is even worse. I even tried to remove it from the case with the adapter and I have to shove it down hard and even then it takes several tries.

Don't remember where I got it but seems all the current ones don't have this, smaller and just pull which makes it harder..

I have searched through the forums to see if this question has already been asked, but I could not find it. Please forgive me if there is an existing thread.I want to get a case for my Droid Razr Maxx HD, but I also want to keep using my Vehicle Navigation Dock. Does anyone know of / own a case for the Razr Maxx HD that still allows the phone to fit in the dock? I don't want to have to pull the case off to dock it every time I get in the car.

When my phone is not in the navigation dock, the voice-guided GPS navigation works fine. But when I place the phone in the navigation dock, the voice-guided GPS navigation is suppressed so that there is no sound emitting from the devices speaker.

The bluetooth works perfectly with the phone but the directions for the navigation won't come through. I don't have an aux plug on my car radio. I've updated to gingerbread if that help. The car dock hasn't rebooted the phone as much as the lapdock does but my lapdock is now useless.

In each case the dock worked fine for a short time, then phone suddenly stopped going into "dock mode" when inserted. The connection is OK: Still charges the phone. Just no dock mode features, which is why I bought the dock in the first place. Tried every combination of seating while turned on/off, seating then turning on/off, powering and de-powering dock, etc. No dice. Phone docks fine and enters car dock mode with car cradle. Using provided charger(s) with dock(s). Have not tried full reset of phone due to hassle of reinstalling apps, etc., but powered up, removed battery, etc. Am I really so unlucky as to get two defective docks or is there a software issue here?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have taken the old steps for creating a ringtone in iTunes 8, going from a .mp3 to .m4a and then to .m4r, but once I have changed the file type from .m4a to .m4r and placed the ringtone in the music file in iTunes, the ringtone will show up in the Ringtones folder, but will not sync to my iPhone 3g. Also the file is only 35 seconds long. Any suggestions? If there is any other info you need let me know and I'll tell ya.

We have just moved from MobileMe, where we had a 'Family account' (and we each have our own @me.com email addresses) to iCloud. We share the Cal and Contacts on our iMac. How do we sync to multiple devices - we each have an iPad and an iPhone, but with different accounts set up for mail. Mine syncs OK to Cal and Contacts, but hers doesn't. There must be a way!
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhile you can create a contact within a Contact Group in the Contacts app if you go to the Phone app and select Contacts and the try to add a new contact to a Group which has been selected as the active group that new contact is NOT created as part of the Group. It is added as part of the All Contacts group. This occurs on iPhone 5C running IOS 8.1.1. Seems to be a bug.

I have the iPhone 4 and whether I use the contacts app or the phone app to make a new contact, when I try to add a picture, it never saves. You would have to first create the contact, then go back and edit it and add a picture either by taking a photo or using an existing photo. Am I the only one having this problem?
Also, if you, for example add in name, number, etc then try to snap a photo, not only will it not save the photo, but the info you just added is erased kinda strange.
Can you create albums/folders to store photos? I noticed when you view your photos it say "albums", but the only album is the camera roll, IE all your photos.

I'm trying to downsize the storage space being taken up by photos, but after deleting them off my phone in Image Capture, it does not seem to have made any difference. I deleted a large percentage so their should be a noticeable amount of space freed.
