I love the concept of the jailbreak. I want to do it but really the only major item I need is the ability to create photo albums ON the iphone. That's my only major want. Everything else I can live without so if it's not there via Jailbreak...I won't do it. I searched the forums and the Cydia store but didn't see anything.

I have taken the old steps for creating a ringtone in iTunes 8, going from a .mp3 to .m4a and then to .m4r, but once I have changed the file type from .m4a to .m4r and placed the ringtone in the music file in iTunes, the ringtone will show up in the Ringtones folder, but will not sync to my iPhone 3g. Also the file is only 35 seconds long. Any suggestions? If there is any other info you need let me know and I'll tell ya.

How do we sync to multiple devices - we each have an iPad and an iPhone, but with different accounts set up for mail. Mine syncs OK to Cal and Contacts, but hers doesn't. There must be a way!
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhile you can create a contact within a Contact Group in the Contacts app if you go to the Phone app and select Contacts and the try to add a new contact to a Group which has been selected as the active group that new contact is NOT created as part of the Group. It is added as part of the All Contacts group. This occurs on iPhone 5C running IOS 8.1.1. Seems to be a bug.

I have the iPhone 4 and whether I use the contacts app or the phone app to make a new contact, when I try to add a picture, it never saves. You would have to first create the contact, then go back and edit it and add a picture either by taking a photo or using an existing photo. Am I the only one having this problem?
Also, if you, for example add in name, number, etc then try to snap a photo, not only will it not save the photo, but the info you just added is erased kinda strange.
Can you create albums/folders to store photos? I noticed when you view your photos it say "albums", but the only album is the camera roll, IE all your photos.

I'm trying to downsize the storage space being taken up by photos, but after deleting them off my phone in Image Capture, it does not seem to have made any difference. I deleted a large percentage so their should be a noticeable amount of space freed.

I found one option to go on icloud and make new groups and add the contacts I want to those groups.

When I plug it into the computer it's very confusing viewing the latest photos because of this. In DCIM folder I now have "823WGTMA", "858HDJES", "860OKMZO", and "965YOKDJ". Every once in a while a new folder is created, seemingly at random times. I'm hoping someone more inclined with iPhones than I would be able to present me with some options for jailbreaking my two iPhone 3GS's.
Here's my scenario:
iPhone 3GS #1 has 4.0.1 iOS. 05.13.04 bootrom. No SHA1 blobs.
iPhone 3GS #2 is brand new and right out of the box with no SIM inside it.
My goal is to ultimately jailbreak and unlock both, but there is so much information on the web and walkthroughs can be misleading. Delving through all of this information with all of the trial and error involved is quite tedious. If anyone knowledgeable on the forums would be able to share with me what ever would be the most painless way to jailbreak both of these devices, I would extremely appreciate it!
I am also running Mac OS 10.6.4 and iTunes ver. 10.

Ok so i noticed on the internet there are jailbreaks that you pay for.These all say they work with 3.1.3 on the new bootrom for a 3GS. Is this correct? They looklike established companys and I dont see how they would get away with lying. Any help would be appreciated.

Everything went great but my 3GS doesn't have 3G data or MMS available. I've seen other with this problem but no solution.I'd like to just restore and start over- but when I try to restore in iTunes I get errors when it checks on Apple's servers.
