IPhone :: 4S Does Not Sound Properly

My iPhone is not playing sounds when I recieve email, iMessage, Whatssapp, watch videos or play music. It used to play the sounds until yestarday.If i put my headphones on I can hear everything but not without it. With no headphones it only play call sounds, voxer, and even I can talk. I checked the set up and it is correct.
When I press the volume button up or down it only shows the speaker image with the word "ringer" but no up and down volume bar under it. If i wear the headphones and I press the volume button the up and down volume bar shows up and work perfectly.

Ok the sound on my iphone isn't working, and i'm wondering if it's worth it to go to the apple store that is almost a 3 hour drive from my town. is there a good chance that they'll be willing to exhange my iphone? thank you for your time.

I have recently bought the new nokia x6 from an authorised nokia dealer. The problem is that my headset is not functioning properly, when I connect my headset to my phone and listen to a song the sound comes very deep and the remote of the headset does not work, I took it to the nokia dealer and he did some settings and made it right, but when I returned back home and tried to use it the same problem occurred as before.

There is an annoying beep sound during calls and the volume control is automatically at the maximum. When I try to bring down the volume using the volume control switch on the side, the volume bar slides all the way to the very lowest and not in steps.I tried googling but I could not find anything.Can someone please suggest what to do?

I turned off the sound notification for "new mail" because I don't want to hear everytime I get a new email. But I found that when someone sends me an iMessage, there is no sound. How do I make it so I can still get a sound notification for iMessage but not email?

Strangeness.I have great sound from iTunes, but no sound from any other app, and no ringer from my phone. I have tried drying out the earphone socket with a hairdryer, and plugging/unplugging while listening to an iTunes song - all to no avail. I have checked al my settings, and all I can find are set to make sounds heard. Now I am flummoxed.

The sound on my phone wont work. My music wont play, you cant hear the keyboard noise or the lock noise, and when someone calls i cant hear what they are saying unless I put them on speaker or put headphones in. When the headphones are plugged into my phone, the sound works fine! i would like to know why the speakers ownt work anymore

There is no sound when you answer or call out but there is sound for everything else. Not sure what else to try to get it working again, did a hard reset on it s few time but now thats not even working to fix the problem.

When I connect my Iphone 3gs to Wifi network and after a few minutes get out of the range of the wifi, then the 3g should work. But in my case when I turn on wifi and connect to a network and after a few minutes turn off wifi, then its not able to connect to the 3g network(Airtel-India) which is availabe and i have tested this on my android phones too, it work perfectly fine there.

I got a contract iPhone 4s with Orange UK locked with the operator. As I need to visit India and was a gift for someone I did not open the box and unlocked outside (As operator will not unlock untill 3 monthes) by just giving IMEI no.After unboxing, when we tried to use an Indian operator sim card , it did not work with the message showing please use authorised sim card. Afterwards,I tried my other O2 UK sim card which worked perfectly with configuring IPhone as it was just using first time. Now, when I am trying my Orange sim card which came with phone or any other sim card, it does not working.Shold I swith to 5.1.1 or?Does it properly unlock?

my iphone 3g is not charging properly. i tried using a new USB cable too. it charges for a few minutes when connected and then the plug sign appears...indicating full charge but the battery is still stuck at 20% !

My iphone 3gs isnt working properly, whenever i try to start it up it gets to the apple symbol then wait there for about ten mins then it goes to a diplay where there is no real backlight and it is just a grey screen. after sitting there for a bit (5 mins)it will turn off then trun back on and repeat the prossess ove and over for ages, i left it and it was doing it for about 3 and a half hours, at whick point it runs out on battery. if i connect it to the wall socket then i think that it will not stop ever..i cant even do a backup and move my data to another phone.

for some new Sony Ericsson phones (I know the W995 has this problem for sure) there is no option to turn off the camera sound or the focus sound, even when silent mode is on. Here I am going to guide you through a solution to overcome this.What we are going to do is replace the sound files for the camera sound and the focus sound with a sound which is silent, using A2uploader.
1. Download this .rar file I have uploaded with 3 sound files, namely camerafocus.3gp, camerashutter2.3gp and camerashutter2_rer.3gp
2. Currently you can choose the following sounds
1. Camera shutter
2. Bear can opening
3.Tennis ball
4. Laser
The files in the .rar have been created to replace the Beer can opening sound, however if you want to keep this one, then change the number on the end e.g to replace the Laser sound the two files would be camerashutter4.3gp and camerashutter4_rer.3gp Although please note to replace the Camera shutter sound the number on the end is not 1, but is no number at all e.g. camerashutter.3gp and camerashutter_rer.3gp3.Now you connect your phone to A2uploader (see Tutorial on main website for how to do this) and go to tpa/presets/system/sound and drop all 3 files into this folder. If you want to keep the sound you're replacing right click on it and click 'read' this will create a folder ph_out with this file in it.4.Shut down A2uploader, switch on phone and bobs your uncle!You can also add other sounds, I created a Gavin and Stacey one here but I will happily accept requests for others.Hope this helps! I think my new 3GS's GPS isn't working well. I removed the sim and turned off wifi and loaded MotionX GPS Lite. It gave me the position with accuracy of 156ft. Is it good for the GPS alone (no A-GPS)? The coordinates are in the woods in front of my house and I was on the porch.

Im having problems syncing my photos to my Iphone 4 & its only recently started to happen.
On my PC I have:
c:PHOTOSFAMILY - 50 photos
c:PHOTOSVacation - 34 photos
c:PHOTOSFriends - 135 photos
c:PHOTOSParty - 200 photos
When these are synced up via Itunes, the folders exist, but say the family one will contain 25 family ones & 10 of vacation. There is no rhyme or reason why they arent ending up in the correct/same folders. Its almost like theyre not being indexed properly when the iphone photo cache is being created. This has happened on 2 separate PC's, when syncing up my Iphone 4
