View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot sync my iPhone 4S with my iTunes libraries. I've tried with other devices and I can sync but not with my iPhone. I've deleted de program (all the components) and reinstalled it again (with a fresh downloaded version).
Thankfully i've recovered the contacts and apps thanks to iCloud, but not most of the pictures, tones and music.

I have last version of iTunes, i phone 3 GS. I had to synchronised my iphone with new computer. Everythinng worked fine. but then i realised that i can not synchronise photos FROM computer via iTunes TO iphone. its just looks like everything is working in process of synchronising even iTunes calculate how much photos should be transfered but on the step 4 it stops. after i check in iphone- is no result.

I had assumed i would be able to save/backup/restore the most important info on my cell like my text messages, phone contacts and ALL my photos in my photostream thru iTunes and NOT have to shell out $3.99US + taxes to be able to do so! The App Store has only 1 free app (out of a whopping 5) which, of course, i cannot use on my 6.1.6 iOS..

I have a LOT of blocked numbers which I have accrued over the last 12 months from mainly marketing texts and other annoyances. My iPhone 5 needs its power button replacing as part of the Apple recall and I've been asked to wipe it of all its settings beforehand. I just wondered if all these blocked numbers are backed up in iTunes as part of the normal backup, or is there something else I need to do to retain them all? As I say I have dozens and dozens of these numbers so I'd like to get them backed up so I can re-instate them once my iPhone is fixed.Â

I've got a 16GB 3GS running iOS 4.0 and all of a sudden today the phone refuses to back up. iTunes is giving me the error "iTunes cannot back up the iphone because an error occurred."
It continues to sync after that and move apps and music around, but it won't back up. I tried again after that and it wouldn't sync calendars, contacts, notes, etc. Whats going on here?By the way this is on a Macbook with the newest updates for Snow Leapord and iTunes.
I have Windows 7 installed and have seriously tried everything to fix this, deleting old back ups, cheacking my firewall, unintalling and reinstalling itunes, deleting pictures that may be corrupt. I just plugged my phone into a USB connected to my sisters MacBook and it backed up perfectly! Is this something wrong with my computer?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had this phone for nearly six months and I have had to maintain it manually. When I try to synchronize my Outlook with my phone using the Blackberry Desktop Manager, but it indicates that the subfolders are not available. I have tried the help menu and it tells I have to use the Advanced tab and then manually add the folders I want. But I can't use the Advanced tab and it is not accessable. I can only use the Setup tab.
All of the help functions either through the Desktop Manager or the website do not help. I have a toll free number so that I can speak to a real live person but I have to pay a fee to do it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to synchronize my music to my phone, but cannot. This is extremely frustrating. The program I use to sync music to my phone is HTC sync manager. This program can sync libraries directly from ITunes and windows media player, however not xbox music. The computer I use, and where all my music is, is a Microsoft surface tablet with windows 8, where xbox music is the default music program. My whole library is on xbox music and I cannot find an easy way to import my whole xbox music library into windows media player as there should be. It would take me an unrealistic amount of time to rebuild my whole library (as in every single playlist) and import songs individually into windows media player. I am sure there is an easier way, and if there isn't, one needs to be made.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhile we were on vacation my brother in law upgraded to an iPhone 4 and I bought his old 3G and jailbroke it using Spirit. I also unlocked it to use on TMobile. Now that I'm home, I wanted to sync it or back it up so that I wouldn't lose apps and such. I don't have any music or videos on it but would like to do that eventually also.
1. I tried to sync some TV shows and it said that this iPhone was associated with another iTunes library so the sync would erase what was on the phone and replace it with what's on my Mac. My question here is, does it just erase things like videos and music, or will it also torch my apps and erase the jailbreak?
2. I notice when you right click the iPhone icon in the left side pane in iTunes there's a "Back up" option. Does that backup all of my apps to iTunes without erasing data on the phone or messing up the jailbreak?
I continue to get an error message without a specific error code when trying to sync and update my iPhone 4S (5.1) to iTunes (10.6.1). This started after an Apple Techincian had me restore the iPhone because I was having WiFi issues, which continued even after the fact. This is a replacement iPhone 4S. My original 4S had battery issues and had to be replaced. Unbeknownst to me, Apple replaces with refurbished iPhones, a practice I do not agree with. I experienced the WiFi dropping from the get-go with the replacement/refurbished iPhone 4S, but hung in there hoping it was just a fluke. It appears this iPhone 4S will need to be replaced.
Back to the issue at hand. I have removed all backups from iTunes. Of course now I have no backups stored on iTunes or iCloud.I have run Disk Utilities to repair permissions. I have reset the iPhone. I tried to restore it, but it will not restore since it cannot backup current data. I have made sure all OS software is updated. I have made sure permissions are unlocked in Backup folder on my HD.

when reformating or migrating to a new computer i know you can copy the itunes backup from the mobilesync directory and basically continue using itunes on the new computer without having to erase and sync the iphone again. However is this method the same for migrating from a pc to a mac or vice versa? Are the backup directories similar just as the itunes library directories are similar?
