Apr 10, 2012I have just purchased a new Nike + iPod sensor and the 'Sensor' option on my iPhone 4S has remained greyed out (or disabled) throughout. Actually activating Nike + iPod from Settings proved problematic at first. Attempting to launch the app from the home screen does not work, in fact it simply crashes within a few seconds of launching.

Apr 17, 2012Just upgraded to the 4S. I set it up by "restoring" to the last backup on the Cloud, but for some reason, in the "Settings" panel, the iCloud option is grayed out. The Problem: How do I reconfigure the sync setting on a "grayed-out" Desktop Manager (DTM) v5.0.1? But please read on...when I updated my DTM from v4.3.0 to 5.0.1 I think I was asked how I wanted to set up my sync. I accidentally set up the sync guidelines to sync upon connection and my old settings on my previous DTM (v4.3.0) had a sync that went both ways. But what I really want to do is to reconfigure my sync settings to "One Way Sync FROM device (BB data --> laptop). I need to do this because all my data is on my BB device and is not on my laptop due to a hard drive crash on my laptop. I will lose years of data if I do not sync in the proper direction. On the "grayed-out" DTM I cannot click on anything to change the sync settings. I just keep getting the DTM message, "Before you begin, verify that your current BlackBerry device is connected to your computer". But if I connect my BB device with the computer, I am afraid the sync may not go in the correct direction that I require and I will lose my data. I am a new user to the setup process and would really appreciate a step-by-step approach from start to finish to solve this issue. Your suggestions will be most appreciated and I thank you in advance.

I agreed and set up a pattern screen lock. I got tired of unlocking phone every time. I went to disable the screen lock and I am NOT ABLE to do that. The security settings for NONE and SWIPE have been grayed out and are no longer an option. I have removed ANDROID PAY and still have issue.

Jun 7, 2012I just upgraded to a 4S iphone and am giving my 3GS to my son to use as an iPod. I've created an email for him so he can iMessage but it won't receive/send through his email. I've changed every setting I can find. I think its trying to use the phone number even though its no longer has phone service which is why its giving the "Message Send Failure"
I already had iMessage turned on from when I was using the phone as a phone... I created the email and verified it through Apple as an email I want associated with my Apple ID. I went into Settings>Messages>Receive At and added his email address but it won't let me delete my phone number (which is now tied to another iPhone device). I also turned off Send as SMS.I also went to Settings>Messages>Receive At> Caller ID and changed the check mark to be next to his email instead of my number.
I went in the Settings>General>Network and turned off 3G and Cellular Data settings (which I don't think were affecting this, but should be off anyway if he's using it as an iPod.)
I tried going to Settings>Phone and deleting my number out but it won't let the blank remain empty. I tried changing the number to 0 (zero) and then when I opened messages again it immediate popped up a message saying "MMS Messaging Requires Your Phone Number Press Settings to go to your Phone Settings and enter your phone number"
The only thing I haven't done is add this email to the Mail settings, because I really don't want him receiving or sending emails, I only want him to be able to text his grandma, cousins, his dad and me. But I'm wondering if the fact that I haven't actually entered his email account password anywhere (like in a pop server?) is why it isn't working.

May 24, 2012my iphone will not link to a new nike plus sensor, under settings "nike+" there used to be an option to link a new sensor, there is no longer that option it just says walk around to activate your sensor. I know that the sensor battery is fine as it is a brand new sensor. There are no other sensors anywhere in the house. I have tried going as far as resetting all the factory settings on my iphone and reloading everything. I have also tried turning off the nike+ from iphone and turning it back on again, as well as pressing and holding the button on the back of the sensor.

I've tried deleting it, and installing it again, but that just made me loose my saved runs, so I restored my phone from a backup, and now the app is there and should contain my data, but it quits on startup!

IPhone :: Nike+ Sensor Built Into Shoe Not Syncing
Jun 1, 2012I just bought a brand new pair of Nikes with the Nike+ sensor built in. I tried to activate the sensor by walking around as it said to do but it just stays on the activation screen and doesn't seem to recognize the sensor at all. I can't see anywhere a battery would go so I don't even know if it came dead on arrival. I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1. They're great shoes and I can live without Nike+ as I have all these years but it would be nice to have. I'm disappointed that the shoes themselves came with no sort of instructions.
