I just noticed that I can't find the checkbox to allow me install programs from unknown sources/not directly from market. When it was still Gingerbread, I can access the checkbox from Setting > Application. how can I access this checkbox in ICS?

When I try installing it, it shows the install button but it's not active and can't be pressed on! Tried to press on it several times but it doesn't react. The cancel button is active though.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just received a Xperia Z5 E6653 (build number : 32.0.A.6.200). I tried to use a MicroSD card that I had in my previous phone, but it seems not to be recognized, whereas it is in an Xperia Z3 compact.
Going to Settings > Storage, both SD card options are greyed.
Already tried :
- Rebooting the phone
- 4 different cards, formatted as exFat or Fat32
- Restoring default settings
Where can I get the Xperia X10i kernel sources for Android 2.1? And as it uses the GPL license so it must be available on request. I compiled the CIFS module on 1.6 but I really need it to recompile it with new sources. Also, kernel config file would be welcome too.

The Problem: How do I reconfigure the sync setting on a "grayed-out" Desktop Manager (DTM) v5.0.1? But please read on...when I updated my DTM from v4.3.0 to 5.0.1 I think I was asked how I wanted to set up my sync. I accidentally set up the sync guidelines to sync upon connection and my old settings on my previous DTM (v4.3.0) had a sync that went both ways. But what I really want to do is to reconfigure my sync settings to "One Way Sync FROM device� (BB data --> laptop). I need to do this because all my data is on my BB device and is not on my laptop due to a hard drive crash on my laptop. I will lose years of data if I do not sync in the proper direction. On the "grayed-out" DTM I cannot click on anything to change the sync settings. I just keep getting the DTM message, "Before you begin, verify that your current BlackBerry device is connected to your computer". But if I connect my BB device with the computer, I am afraid the sync may not go in the correct direction that I require and I will lose my data. I am a new user to the setup process and would really appreciate a step-by-step approach from start to finish to solve this issue. Your suggestions will be most appreciated and I thank you in advance.

Just upgraded to the 4S. I set it up by "restoring" to the last backup on the Cloud, but for some reason, in the "Settings" panel, the iCloud option is grayed out. This is also the case for all of my individual email addresses under "Mail, Contacts,..." I called support and they just made me reset my password - twice - which hasn't done anything but annoy me.

I agreed and set up a pattern screen lock. I got tired of unlocking phone every time. I went to disable the screen lock and I am NOT ABLE to do that. The security settings for NONE and SWIPE have been grayed out and are no longer an option. I have removed ANDROID PAY and still have issue.

I have spent a lot of time downloading stuff only to find that it is "not supported" or doesn't work for a variety of other reasons. Very frustrating. The Vodafone and SE sites are fairly limited in depth. SE is also so slow it is almost not worth opening. Today I downloaded two jar files. One worked and the other didn't. I have no idea why. However 50% is a good ratio based on the experience I have had of trying to get anything to work on my vivaz.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a 2016 tacoma and a s6 edge. When I stream my Bluetooth music it's good. But when I go to am or fm and come back to Bluetooth, it starts the song at the beginning again. Doesn't auto pause like it always has. In my old truck it worked fine. This is a new truck. I tried an old iPhone and it worked fine. I tried the Google play music app and it worked for a bit and it stopped with that too. Not sure if it's my truck or my phone.
