Galaxy S6 Edge :: Music Not Pausing When Switching Sources
Dec 18, 2015
I have a 2016 tacoma and a s6 edge. When I stream my Bluetooth music it's good. But when I go to am or fm and come back to Bluetooth, it starts the song at the beginning again. Doesn't auto pause like it always has. In my old truck it worked fine. This is a new truck. I tried an old iPhone and it worked fine. I tried the Google play music app and it worked for a bit and it stopped with that too. Not sure if it's my truck or my phone.
My Galaxy S6 keeps randomly pausing music playback while I have it connected to the aux input in my car for no apparent reason. Phone is rooted on the stock AT&T Rom and has been restored via ODIN twice without any change. It did this before root as well without change. I have disabled nuplayer in the dev settings and tried resyncing my library multiple times thinking it was due to corrupted files. This clearly is a samsung issue and seems to be apparent with older generations of the Galaxy series as well. Having to keep fiddling with the damn phone while I'm driving to unpause the music, raise the volume past the warning, just to do it again a few minutes later. Tried the stock music app as well as doubletwist, no changes. Could this be caused by some motion sensing feature that needs to be disabled?
I love my S6 but I have one problem. The audio randomly pauses or un-pauses. At first I thought this was a Blue Tooth problem but it happens with corded headphones too. I use BT in my car, with a Monster speaker and Arctic headphones. I'll be listing to the Audible App audio book, or Pandora or my own music through the native music app and the sound will just stop. I have to hit play to continue. It could be 2 minutes after I start the play or 45 minutes. It usually happens once or twice an hour. This can be really bad while listening to the good part of a book in heavy traffic and you have to look down to find the play button to start it again.
The audio will also just randomly start playing whatever the last audio app was that I used. My phone will be in my pocket or on a table, not being touched, and the audio will start. Again, with an audio book this is especially bad as I have seriously lost my place in a book when the audio started in a noisy location and I didn't notice until several chapters had gone by. It is also a problem at work when I'll walk out of the room and come back and my phone is blasting and my coworkers are standing around trying to make it stop. Un-pausing happens less frequently than the pausing does, but it happens at least once or twice a day.
I've got a small problem with my s6 edge. Let's say that i have my phone on vibrate mode, after i lock the phone and press by "mistake" the volume key, it switches from vibrating to sound mode. Why is that?? I previously had a galaxy s4 and never had this problem.
I have the iPhone 4s, and it keeps pausing in the middle of songs, be it, ones I've purchased through iTunes or Downloads!! It is very annoying, as I am an exercise teacher, and need to use it when I'm teaching. I have tried everything to stop this, but to no avail. Yesterday, I used it in a Boombox, and it paused every 2/3 minutes!! Not Good.
I just switched over from a Samsung Note Edge to a Nexus 5, and have been super happy. However, there is one thing that I just noticed today that is weird. When I'm listening to music and someone calls me, the music keeps playing, and there is no ringtone. I have almost missed a couple of calls because of it. This is my configuration:
OG Nexus 5 on most recent update from Google Not rooted Completely stock Using Google Play Music Using headphones plugged into phone (not bluetooth headphones)
Since the 5.0 update, everything has been awesome. Only issue I have run into, is that sometimes out of no where my phone will pause Play Music with out me touching my phone. For example, I listen to Play Music at night and its setup on either a loop or just one of the sleep radio stations. But after one or two songs or even twice in one song, it will pause.
After the denim update on my 1520 for att, the phone has started acting weird. It unlocks itself and goes into messaging by own. Sometimes its funny as to you click the unlock button and things seem to happen by own.
Other issue that i am facing is the music pause. Play music, lock the phone, keep it in the pocket n boom... it pauses... every time.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The battery life is a bit of a letdown, but I've gotten the hang of USM, so there aren't any issues there while in USM, am I still able to activate the music player via my headset? I do play music quite frequently while I'm travelling, so I'd like to know if that's still possible while in USM.
S6 Edge or regular S6 experienced the infamous Bluetooth skipping issue? Both my wife's new S6 Edge and mine are doing it. Both have latest Verizon update, I have cleared cache partition, cleared Bluetooth partition, tried the keeping screen on trick to no avail. Having your music Skip no matter which music app I use, natter the coverage area as well.
So yesterday I went out in my car and figured I wanted to listen to my music on my phone. Normally, I would listen to my music via bluetooth in my parents car but since my car stereo doesn't have bluetooth capability, I had to use USB. I didn't think I needed Bluetooth at the time I bought it since my iPhone that I had before worked flawlessly via USB. The stereo is an aftermarket Pioneer X35UI and all I get on the stereo is USB N/A. I was wondering if there was some sort of software/ workaround that would possibly make this possible to listen via USB. I could always listen via 3.5 mm jack but I wouldn't be able to control the music through the car. I would have to fumble around in my phone which is not good in a driving situation.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and every time it sync to my 2014 Honda Accord the volume sync and plays music at extremely low volume even on max. Compared to almost any other phone like my iphone 4s that sync the audio for my music no problem. I tried turning the media on and off and deleting the device completely off the bluetooth list and re-adding which still does not work. I am using mobilego and it sucks as it won’t let you sort the order of your music.
Just made the switch from iPhone to Samsung S6 Edge. Therefore I decided to leave iTunes behind and switch to Google Music. I transferred all my music to Google Music and works great from my laptop. The problem is when I try to listen to my music on Google Music from my phone. It only allows me to listen to all of it if I am on wifi. But if I enable the "downloaded only" option only a few of them downloaded. The other ones are grayed out and can't play them unless I am connected to wifi. I have already spent several days trying to make this work! - Yes! I am logged in with the same google account on my laptop and phone.
I have been using Power Amp for years but I can never seem to get the Backup and restore correctly when it come to backing my playlist.Because of data cap and T-Mobile coverage, I don't stream my music.
I have an iPhone 4S on AT&T. I upgraded it so I have 4G (although it's technically still 3G). Sometimes when there's not a lot of signal the Internet just drops to EDGE and no matter how many times I restart the phone it's still on EDGE. How do I fix this so it's always 4G?
I seem to have developed a strange problem since the update to 5.1.1 a couple of days ago. When I connect to my Edge via bluetooth, and use Google Play Music, there is a beep in the background and the music stutters and then continue playing, then about 30 seconds later it happens again...it coninues for about 10 to 15 minutes then the problem disappeared entirely. I don't believe it is entirely Google Play Music because I paused Google Play Music and the beeping continued in the background. ......perhaps the bluetooth connection? I haven't been able to reproduce the error but it has happened twice.
I upgraded from HTC One M7 to S6 Edge on launch and recently I bought Spotify premium and I noticed that my phone mutes music every time I receive notification. I like to text/whatsapp while listening to music or browsing Internet. Is there a way to make the notification sound just be on top of the music without muting it?
I have connected my phone with the USB and transferred my photos and music to my phone. Unfortunately, when I open the Gallery, I can't see any of the pictures that I know are there. I can see the files if I use My Files to browse. It is the same for my music.
While listening to music via Bluetooth in the car, my phone started to vibrate, this started a few days ago, that has never happened before. I have had galaxy 6 edge since it was first released. The vibration only happens in the car via Bluetooth, not while listening to music directly from phone.
If I am listening to the music from youtube app or the browser it plays fine until I minimize them (put on background) or lock my phone. Then music stops playing. I looked in the settings all over the phone how to make it to continue playing but couldn't find anything. Also is there a way to pull volume stop/play control on the lock screen?. I miss this feature as I had it on my iphone 6 and also on the iphone music continues playing regardless if apps are on a background or screen is locked.
Listening to iHeart radio/podcasts has become very frustrating ever since lollipop upgrade because it is frequently pausing play on it's own. It happens to me both on cellular and strong Wi-Fi connections. When it happens, I can simply hit play button again to restart playing but it's getting real old real fast having the constant interruptions. I also opened a problem case with iHeart directly.
Is anyone else having problems with dropped calls when switching from UMA to 3G? Where I work I do not have a signal in the building, so I keep my WIFI on so I can both make and receive phone calls while inside.
The problem occurs when I'm on the phone and step outside. I lose my connection with the router, and instead of switching from UMA to 3G, my call is dropped, and it takes my phone about 10 seconds to find the 3G signal.I was hopping that upgrading the .442 would solve the problem, but it has not
I have a 3Gs model that after doing the update to IOS 5 and later versions, now just randomly switches from 3G to Edge network whenever I'm using random applications. It'll just shut off the 3G network, go without coverage, and then kick back into Edge network. After thinking about it for a couple of minutes, then the phone will randomly switch back to 3G.
Why is it that the new IOS 5 causes our 3G phones to run like a pile of fail? I find that I have to shut my phone off every other day to kill background applications to ensure that the processor doesn't get jammed up.
So I connect to a bluetooth device for my car to play music and provide directions. Driving mode somehow got turned on and is annoying as all heck. So basically I want it gone. It doesnt do anything for me, it just randomly resends a notification and interrupts my music and I have had it. How do I disable this terrible feature?
Where can I get the Xperia X10i kernel sources for Android 2.1? And as it uses the GPL license so it must be available on request. I compiled the CIFS module on 1.6 but I really need it to recompile it with new sources. Also, kernel config file would be welcome too.
Recommend sites that have vivaz specified pages of apps that actually work? When I search for S60v5 most don't work. I have spent a lot of time downloading stuff only to find that it is "not supported" or doesn't work for a variety of other reasons. Very frustrating. The Vodafone and SE sites are fairly limited in depth. SE is also so slow it is almost not worth opening. Today I downloaded two jar files. One worked and the other didn't. I have no idea why. However 50% is a good ratio based on the experience I have had of trying to get anything to work on my vivaz.
