Missing quick settings?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've setup homesharing as every guide I have ever read says to. However the step where I go to more tab on the music app on my phone, there is no shared option. I've turned the phone off and on, made sure the app was closed properly, and nothing.
Do I need to set up a library to share first? All the videos seemed to have a library in the shared tab in itunes. I can't find a way to do this, as the sharing options in preferences just say either share selected playlists, or my entire library.

I'm trying to connect my iphone to my new apple TV. The home sharing page says I need to turn this feature on in the "Setting" menu under "ipod"... I have no "ipod" feature on my iphone.

I'm trying to set up Home Sharing on my iPhone 4. The instructions say = "On your iPhone, tap Settings > iPod". Why would a setting for iPod be on my iPhone? If it should be there, I can't find it. I'm totally confused and frustrated with trying to set up Home Sharing.

I'm trying to follow Apple's website on how to turn on Home Sharing on the iPhone. It states to find Settings/iPod but there is no iPod.

I want to setup my phone to stream my iTunes on my home computer. My phone has OS 5.1.1 installed and I do not see a menu option for settings>ipod anywhere. Is there something I'm missing to setup Home Sharing? I've already done setup on the computer.

I recently downloaded an hd (1080p) tv series. When I try to use home sharing to watch it on my iphone (4), I cannot. Is this because it will not stream 1080p/play1080p on the phone/or compress it to work on the phone? Is there a way to download sd?

I have just purchased a new Nike + iPod sensor and the 'Sensor' option on my iPhone 4S has remained greyed out (or disabled) throughout. Actually activating Nike + iPod from Settings proved problematic at first. Attempting to launch the app from the home screen does not work, in fact it simply crashes within a few seconds of launching.

If I want to upload a pic on FB via Xperia with Facebook, this specific app is missing from the share list of apps. Only option I have is through FB itself.
Tried removing the account and adding it back, cleared data and cache from FB app and cleared data from Xperia with Facebook via Titanium Backup. What is there to do?
Sorry if this has been posted before, but whenever I'm listening to the iPod and I go into Settings the music stops. Bug, or does Apple have it set this way?

Something changed on my Xperia Ray and I don't know what or why. For some reason, when I try to share an app from my Home Screen, the options menu that used to appear asking for how I would like to share is no longer there. It used to be that I could long click an app on my Home Screen and then drag it up to the top where it says "SHARE." Then an options menu would appear and I could select how I would like to share. Now, when I drag something over the "SHARE" area, a little dialog box appears saying "Creating Post." Then it says "Connection Error." I have tried factory reseting my phone and repairing my phone more times than I can count. I'm not sure where the problem is. I also notice, that some settings seem to stay with the phone even after a repair or factory reset. For example, I had to manually enter my APN information when I first got the phone. It is now already entered when I finish a repair. I don't know if this sharing problem is some deep setting that I can't reset or something else all together. It's a royal pain. I really liked and used this feature before and now it's gone!

View 6 Replies View RelatedThere is no "Voicemail settings" in the "Call settings" section. It seems like a first page of Call settings is missing because at the top of the list it says "Call settings", then immediately under that it says "Other call settings".
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently had my iPhone (4, 16GB, GSM from AT&T) unlocked (by AT&T, and saw confirmation in iTunes). I am now using a prepaid carrier, and needed to change my APN settings for there system, however the APN settings are not available in the phone (Settings >> General >> Network), the only option I have is Cellular Data (on/off). I wound up using unlockit to load an APN profile for my carrier, home come if the phone is unlocked we cannot change the APN settings (something we need to do in order to use data on ohter carriers)? AT&T unlocked the iPhone for me but all the settings still point to AT&T unless I use alternative means.
I did not know if I was mising something or if this feature is not enabling properly on unlocked devices, or what was happening, I was hoping maybe some other people have figured out how to make this option show, or if they have not maybe Apple or AT&T need to see that the Ulocked devices are not able to change data settigns from AT&T settings, I am not sure what is happening, but I would like to fix it (hopefully, or at least make it noted that it is a problem).
I have tried Reloading iOS from iTunes (recovery) and that pops up the Message "Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked" in iTunes, but I do not see the APN settings, I do not want to Jailbreak the iPone and I should not have to since I have it unlocked, I just want to be able to change the settings to allow other carrier data plans.

When I got my phone all the tethering stuff was in place as normal.. I tried it out on my mac and it worked great.. Then my phone crashed, got it running good to go now.. So the other night I needed internet, go into settings, turn ON tethering.. Open macbook, wait, nothing.. go back into settings on my iPhone and there is no longer anything left even related to tethering.. GONE!
So where did it go and how can I get it back is what I am wondering? 3.1.2j, telus network Canada, originally at&t.
Also, is there a way to force a carrier update? When I got one the first time it didnt show me the cellular data network settings, after the reset of the phone thats there and I had to enter in the information all manually for MMS, internet, etc.friggin problems.. nothing ever wants to work right.
I turned Siri off about a month and a half ago after it eating my battery away, but I thought it was time to start using it again. I went to the general tab to find my Siri is missing. Below is a picture to prove it.
And here is a shot of the Location Services to show that I do indeed own a 4S.
I will probably do a reset/restore tonight some time, but I just wanted to know if this is a known problem or bug.

My "Settings" icon disappeared from my iPhone yesterday. I was able to find it using the search function (swipe left from the home screen), but the idon was completely gone.
After checking all my app folders to no avail, I plugged my iPhone into my Mac. In iTunes, I selected the phone in the left column and then selected "Apps" from the horizontal bar across the top of the settings. From there, I could re-arrange the icons on my iPhone.
My Settings icon was there, hiding out on the very last page if icons, all by itself. It had apparently been relegated there (not by me, I know that for sure). I was able to move it back to my home screen and now everything is OK.
after syncing itunes....... settings application is missing?

I have an iPhone 3GS. I used to be able to reset the "Home Button" by going to Settings/ General/ Home.
I recently upgraded to the latest iPhone software: 4.0.2 and now the "Home Button" is no longer there.
Is there a way to reset "Home" under this version.
