Apr 13, 2012I've setup homesharing as every guide I have ever read says to. However the step where I go to more tab on the music app on my phone, there is no shared option. I've turned the phone off and on, made sure the app was closed properly, and nothing.
Do I need to set up a library to share first? All the videos seemed to have a library in the shared tab in itunes. I can't find a way to do this, as the sharing options in preferences just say either share selected playlists, or my entire library.

I am using my laptop for traveling and I use USB CDMA modem connection to connect to the internet. Recently my wife bought a Blackberry bold 9700 hoping that she could access internet without carrying her laptop while traveling with me, sharing the same connection from my laptop. I have been trying to use WiFi to connect my bold 9700 with my laptop using ad-hoc but it seems that bold 9700 does not support ad-hoc. Therefore I am trying another way to connect to the internet from my BB using my Bluetooth. I have linked my blackberry device through bluetooth and my laptop is currently connected to the internet.
I have been trying to use my wife's BB to connect to the internet using my laptop's bluetooth connection. But I could not get it to work. Before posting here, I have been searching everywhere on the web for a guide but I could not seems to find one. Could anyone guide me on how to share my laptop internet connection so that my BB could access the web using the same connection as my laptop? If bluetooth and WiFi doesn't work is there any other way? Using USB perhaps? In short: Laptop internet Connection > Share using ? and how? > BB's can browse the web without additional data plan.

IPhone 3GS :: Won't Connect To Laptop - Infinite Connect / Disconnect Loop
Jun 4, 2014Today I received a second-hand iphone 3GS to replace a 4s which I lost.
Upon receipt, the phone displayed an image of a usb connector and an itunes logo suggesting that I need to connect to itunes before use.Â
When I attach the phone to a toshiba satellite C50 laptop it connects and immediately disconnects with an audible tone. This connect/disconnect cycle repeats every second or so and never ends.Â
If I connect the phone whilst powered down, hold the power button and home button together for 10 secs and then hold the home button only to enter restore mode, the phone connects to itunes and I get the option to restore. However, the restore always fails.Â
I have tried connecting using two seperate USB cables - I am not sure if either is genuine. There is no effect.Â
I have tried disabling USB controllers individually within device manager. There is no effect.Â
I have tried different USB ports/ There is no effect.Â
While connected, the phone appears in the device manager intermittently, appearing and disappearing as the phone connects/disconnects.Â
The laptop is running windows 8.Â

Xperia Ray :: Home Screen App Sharing Has No Options?
Oct 3, 2012Something changed on my Xperia Ray and I don't know what or why. For some reason, when I try to share an app from my Home Screen, the options menu that used to appear asking for how I would like to share is no longer there. It used to be that I could long click an app on my Home Screen and then drag it up to the top where it says "SHARE." Then an options menu would appear and I could select how I would like to share. Now, when I drag something over the "SHARE" area, a little dialog box appears saying "Creating Post." Then it says "Connection Error." I have tried factory reseting my phone and repairing my phone more times than I can count. I'm not sure where the problem is. I also notice, that some settings seem to stay with the phone even after a repair or factory reset. For example, I had to manually enter my APN information when I first got the phone. It is now already entered when I finish a repair. I don't know if this sharing problem is some deep setting that I can't reset or something else all together. It's a royal pain. I really liked and used this feature before and now it's gone!

Mar 22, 2012Today I had my new iphone 4s delivered, I charged it using the wall charger and when I went to sync with my itunes, the phone wasn't connecting to the laptop, I phoned apple support who talked me through re-installing itunes, when he suggested I try the phone on another computer(which was air mac) my phone connected straight away, the apple adviser said the problem would be with my windows, but its all completely up to date, I've got windows 7, thing is, my old phone (3g) connects fine and itunes is opened straight away, why wont it work with the iphone 4s.

I've downloaded the lastest iTunes and tried to reinstall. All my USB ports work fine with other USB devices. Aug 20, 2014I've been having issues trying to connect my iPhone 5 (updated to the latest software version 7.1.2) to my HP laptop, it makes the little usb noise when it is plugged in, but the phone won't charge and it isn't visible on iTunes or 'my computer.' Im 100% sure its nothing to do with my USB cable as i have more than one genuine Apple lighting cables, I've plugged my mothers iPhone 5 to my laptop which is also updated to the latest version and it connects, charges and also shows up on iTunes. I have tried connecting my iPhone to other laptops (sister's HP laptop, dad's PC) and it works perfectly fine (charges, syncs to iTunes) so im sure its not my handset. I have updated my laptop's software and iTunes and i've checked that all of my USB ports are working fine. Â
p.s. I had another iPhone 5 which i lost and had the same problem.

Aug 16, 2010Like an idiot i forgot to bring my express and now dont have wifi in my hotel room, but the laptop i brought (a dell) has bluetooth. so is it possible to connect an unjailbroken iphone 4 with the newest firmware to my dell, and use internet over the bluetooth? To clarify, I HAVE an internet connect on my laptop, and i want to be able to connect my iphone ober bluetooth, to my dell inorder to use the internet on my iphone.
