Huawei Nexus 6P :: Phone Random Reboots With Beep

Jan 7, 2016

Recently installed a new ROM and kernel, pure nexus ROM with the gods kernel. Its running very smooth however I'm having a problem with it. It'll do it randomly whether I'm multi tasking or not. Some times it will make a beep sound for 3 seconds and reboot. I have attached last_kernel message, I'm not sure if its that or the log cat.

Google Nexus 6 :: Random Reboots Every 20 Minutes Even After Clearing Cache?

I used to get the occasional reboot but on Thursday maybe from any update my phone was rebooting every 20 minutes even after clearing the cache. After Thursday it stopped rebooting and hasn't ever since.

The only other annoyance I received was camera cannot connect when I tried opening the camera app but was resolved with a reboot.

Huawei Nexus 6P :: Tracking Down Reboots

Jan 5, 2016

I've been getting reboots semi randomly for the last week or two. Going back two weeks ago I was having some pretty poor battery life compared to some other users so I tried to do a full purge and restart. I went through the file manager on twrp and deleted any folder for any app that I wasn't using in a possibly misguided attempt to curb any file conflicts. After I did this I did a fresh install of cataclysm and Franco. After running into some reboots I tried with Kylo kernel and had the same issue. I then tried full wipe with Ubermallow and Kylo and had the same issue. Then I did a full lock, unlock, flash stock, root and recovery, and fresh install of chroma and Franco and it still reboots.

What I want to know is whether or not this could be a hardware issue and if not how to get this to stop. It's seems so random yet specific and it's happened on so many different installs. I have been rooting my phones since the OG Droid but I have never had an issue like this that lasts through so many installs of so many different things.

Lumia 1320 :: WiFi And Bluetooth Shutting Off And Random Phone Reboots

Mar 18, 2015

I have a 1320 that I got brand new back on Black Friday from Cricket. The problem is after it has been on for a while, the wireless and/or bluetooth or both shutoff. When I bring the status bar down, the wireless icon and/or the bluetooth icon will be cleared out and not active. If I try to turn it back on, nothing happens, the icons stay black. I reboot and usually that fixes it but not always. Sometimes I have to reboot it a couple of times.

Also my phone sometimes reboots when I'm using the GPS to track my bike rides when the phone is in my bag. I know that because when I get to the end of my ride and check the app, Cyclometer, it stays "it has been shut off, do you want to resume" or something to that effect and then I resume it and a portion of my ride is missing from when it apparently has rebooted. I also have had it reboot on me in the middle of something that doesn't happen often.

My phone is on 8.1 and has no more pending updates. this is eating up my data plan because I normally use wireless at home. I also can't use my bluetooth speaker while riding because if I connect my bluetooth speaker to my phone, the bluetooth will shut off after about 15-25 minutes of use. It first starts to become somewhat intermittent for couple of minutes then bluetooth shuts off altogether.

Galaxy S6 :: Random Beep And Screen On At Night

May 1, 2015

I get a random beep and/or random screen ons in the middle of the night. What would cause it, because there is no consistency. The beep sound isn't any of my notification sounds either. It hasn't happened every night (or at least I haven't woken up to it).

Could my charger be affecting it? (My old phone never did it on this charger, but who knows. I'm also waiting for my QI charger to show up and replace my normal charger)....

I do charge my phone at night. Is there a setting that beeps when the battery is charged? Is there something that would tell the screen to turn on for any reason? I'm pretty sure it isn't any apps, since I've only had the phone for a week and haven't loaded very many.

Huawei Nexus 6P :: Random Loss Of Audio / Audio In And Out During Video Playback?

Feb 16, 2016

Came from LG G4 that didn't have these issues with the same apps.

Sometimes the audio will work fine (notice this more when I'm on WiFi) but sometimes, in all apps (snapchat, facebook, regular gallery view) the video will play but the audio will cut in and out.

Not sure what it is. Phone is rooted (systemless) and is running the EX Kernel. I didn't mess with the audio settings in the EX Manager...

This is a huge issue for me as I spend a lot of time on Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube (I'm a vlogger, etc.).

BB Storm :: Reboots At Random?

Apr 7, 2012

My Storm will reboot, seemingly without cause or warning, and sometimes take hours to reach the home screen again. When it does this it will go black, the red light will come on and it usually goes off after a short time. After that a black screen with a clock pops up and finally the BlackBerry screen with the loading bar at the bottom. It goes through this process several times before it will turn on. When it does come on it tells me the battery is drained, even if it was fully charged before it shut off. It makes it pointless to keep paying for a phone.

Xperia Z3 :: Odd Random Reboots

Feb 8, 2012

My phone randomly reboots while it's sitting there not being used. This is very odd and I'm starting to believe it's a firmware bug so I ask you to report this to the dev team. Basically the phone will reboot and that's it, but not a full reboot, because it won't ask for pin code, it will just close all apps, play the boot animation, and go back to the lock screen. The only way to tell it happened is either to be looking at the phone as it reboots or check under diagnostics -> system incidents. My phone is totally stock and I don't have anything too weird installed that would mess with the system. It has been factory reset and refurbished.

Galaxy S6 :: Keep Getting Random Reboots

Dec 16, 2015

Since the start that I own my Galaxy S6 I'm having issues with the phone. The biggest issue is that when I use my phone it will freeze for 1/2 seconds and then it does a soft reboot.

All my apps/data stays open but I have to wait for like 1 minute before I can start working again.

The weird thing is that sometimes it happens like 4 times in half an hour but sometimes it doesn't reboot for more then a month. Then you think 'finally it doesn't happen anymore' and then from outta nowhere it reboots itself, it's really frustrating.

I've already factory reset my phone and wiping my cache partition but it won't work.

Google Nexus 5 :: Disabled Power Button But It Reboots Phone

Dec 15, 2015

I have a Nexus 5 with Android 4.4.4 and CyanogenMod 11. Like always, it had been working really find untill today, when it started to reboot and entered in a loop. I found out that it was because the power button was broken and with the lightest touch, it would activate. Searching through the Internet I found out that many people happen to have this problem. I tried to disable the power button editing a file that is found under /system/usr/keylayout/qpnp_pon.kl, where I had to simply comment the line where the power button was.

Now, if I click the power button it doesn't happen anything, like I was expecting, but after 30 seconds of clicking it, it shuts down and it reboots like if it was an internal error or someting similar that caused that reboot. Is it possible that disabling it the way I did could cause any type of problem that made it reboot after touching it?

I know it's an internal problem or something like this because when I touch it, it doesn't lock the screen or show the power menu, so the button itself is kind of "disabled", but it keeps causing this problem.

Xperia Z3 :: Random Reboots Mostly After Unlocking?

Feb 8, 2012

Sometimes I unlock my phone and the screen remains black, then the phone reboots but weirdly it doesn't ask for the SIM pin number. Other times I notice the phone reboots by itself and I notice it because obviously the screen lights up during the boot animation. This happens very rarely, so far it has happened about 3 to 5 times in a couple of months but it's still mega annoying when it happens.
And don't tell me to factory reset, I already did that less than a month ago and it happened anyway. Factory resetting is just a huge waste of time 99% of the time especially if you are not rooted.

BB Torch :: Frequent, But Random Reboots?

May 29, 2012

I recently acquired a Torch 9810, originally from Rogers but MEP2 unlocked and running on Fido with a 6GB data plan. It's my first BB, a choice that I made specifically because I was so impressed by my Playbook. There is, however, one thoroughly frustrating problem, which is that it suffers from random reboots. Symptomatically, there is a brief pause, followed by the backlight turning off (I can still see the previous content on the screen sometimes), followed by the red LED and then the BB logo with the loading bar. It looks similar to a soft reset or battery pull. These reboots seem to be completely random:
1) They take place over a wide range of activities, including web browsing, email reading and composing, Facebook, Twitter, built-in apps, even when looking through settings menus.2) The frequency seems to be random too, sometimes I can go for half a day without a reboot, but sometimes the phone will reboot twice in the span of a few minutes.

I tried reloading the stock Rogers OS but this did not solve the problem.Thereafter, I have gone through 3 different 7.1 OS versions, each time using BBSAK to wipe my device to a 507 state. I have tried Telus, Mobilicity and even the latest official OS for my phone, Rogers I'm not sure that my apps are contributing to the problem since I have the problem after a wipe, but I have the following installed:BB ProtectBB BridgeBB MapsBB 5 soundsFacebookTwitterWindows LiveMessengerYahoo MessengerGoogle TalkWikitudeWord MoleBrickbreakerGoogle Maps There seems to be plenty of free storage space, over 180MB right now.

Google Nexus 5 :: Phone Random Shut Off / Battery Drops

Jul 22, 2015

Ever since 5.1.1 rolled out it seems like the battery was draining faster than normal but it was at least usable. Now, my phone will just randomly shut off while i'm in the middle of doing something(so far it has only shut off while i'm using the phone and not while it's idle). When it does shut off it could have between 80% and 100% battery even and then when i turn it back on after it shuts off my battery will be around 15% and will shut off again almost immediately.

If i plug the phone into the charger (with it turned on or off) it will charge to full in less than half an hour so i seriously doubt that the battery is actually draining, but the phone sure thinks it is.

So far to try and fix this i've wiped the cache and also performed a full factory reset and that actually only seemed to make it worse - before the reset this only happened maybe 3 or so times per it's happening 3 or 4 times per day which really makes it unusable. The apps that i'm using when it shuts off are not consistent. It will do it in games, in chrome, in messenger - really anything.

I'm willing to try anything - if I didn't provide enough information about something let me know and i'll be glad to follow up.

I don't get any problems. I did the second command but it also didn't solve the issue that I can't copy files. I tried resetting to factory settings twice, didn't do anything. I tried putting it in the refrigerator but didn't do anything.

99% sure it's hardware issue, gonna RMA the phone.
