My Storm will reboot, seemingly without cause or warning, and sometimes take hours to reach the home screen again. When it does this it will go black, the red light will come on and it usually goes off after a short time. After that a black screen with a clock pops up and finally the BlackBerry screen with the loading bar at the bottom. It goes through this process several times before it will turn on. When it does come on it tells me the battery is drained, even if it was fully charged before it shut off. It makes it pointless to keep paying for a phone.
My phone randomly reboots while it's sitting there not being used. This is very odd and I'm starting to believe it's a firmware bug so I ask you to report this to the dev team. Basically the phone will reboot and that's it, but not a full reboot, because it won't ask for pin code, it will just close all apps, play the boot animation, and go back to the lock screen. The only way to tell it happened is either to be looking at the phone as it reboots or check under diagnostics -> system incidents. My phone is totally stock and I don't have anything too weird installed that would mess with the system. It has been factory reset and refurbished.
Since the start that I own my Galaxy S6 I'm having issues with the phone. The biggest issue is that when I use my phone it will freeze for 1/2 seconds and then it does a soft reboot.
All my apps/data stays open but I have to wait for like 1 minute before I can start working again.
The weird thing is that sometimes it happens like 4 times in half an hour but sometimes it doesn't reboot for more then a month. Then you think 'finally it doesn't happen anymore' and then from outta nowhere it reboots itself, it's really frustrating.
I've already factory reset my phone and wiping my cache partition but it won't work.
I have a Torch 9860 on Vodafone Ireland. I have installed and reinstalled the latest OS for the phone 7.1.0.342 from Vodafone. The phone now reboots in low coverage areas when switching from 3g to Edge. It will not happen when I have it set to 3G only mode. My phone is still under Warranty.
Sometimes I unlock my phone and the screen remains black, then the phone reboots but weirdly it doesn't ask for the SIM pin number. Other times I notice the phone reboots by itself and I notice it because obviously the screen lights up during the boot animation. This happens very rarely, so far it has happened about 3 to 5 times in a couple of months but it's still mega annoying when it happens.
And don't tell me to factory reset, I already did that less than a month ago and it happened anyway. Factory resetting is just a huge waste of time 99% of the time especially if you are not rooted.
I recently acquired a Torch 9810, originally from Rogers but MEP2 unlocked and running on Fido with a 6GB data plan. It's my first BB, a choice that I made specifically because I was so impressed by my Playbook. There is, however, one thoroughly frustrating problem, which is that it suffers from random reboots. Symptomatically, there is a brief pause, followed by the backlight turning off (I can still see the previous content on the screen sometimes), followed by the red LED and then the BB logo with the loading bar. It looks similar to a soft reset or battery pull. These reboots seem to be completely random: 1) They take place over a wide range of activities, including web browsing, email reading and composing, Facebook, Twitter, built-in apps, even when looking through settings menus.2) The frequency seems to be random too, sometimes I can go for half a day without a reboot, but sometimes the phone will reboot twice in the span of a few minutes.
I tried reloading the stock Rogers 7.0.0.254 OS but this did not solve the problem.Thereafter, I have gone through 3 different 7.1 OS versions, each time using BBSAK to wipe my device to a 507 state. I have tried Telus 7.1.0.267, Mobilicity 7.1.0.378 and even the latest official OS for my phone, Rogers 7.1.0.391. I'm not sure that my apps are contributing to the problem since I have the problem after a wipe, but I have the following installed:BB ProtectBB BridgeBB MapsBB 5 soundsFacebookTwitterWindows LiveMessengerYahoo MessengerGoogle TalkWikitudeWord MoleBrickbreakerGoogle Maps There seems to be plenty of free storage space, over 180MB right now.
I would like to share this problem i'm having with my lumia 800, and possibly see if someone has a solution to it.After buying this phone from Orange in France a few days ago, it has been making random reeboots 10 to 15 times a day. It could be when I'm writing a sms or using any app at any time, the phone just suddenly goes "au revoir" and reboots! Sometimes it does it twice or 3 times successivelyHard resetting the phone so far hasn't done any good...
I'll be using my phone and sometimes, it'll just shutoff as if you were to press and hold the power button to force it to reboot. I'm on the stock ROM and just reflashed the latest image and its still doing it, is my power button faulty?
I recently installed a new ROM and kernal (pure nexus ROM with the gods kernal) it's all running as it should be, but the issue i now how is reboots, my phone randomly reboots and shuts down, not sure what is causing the issue. There's no error upon rebooting though. Just freezes and reboots randomly when it wants too...
I have a Galaxy S6 Edge (Verizon) that I just updated to 5.1.1. It has now started randomly rebooting a few times a day. It seems to do this whenever it is on a charger (wireless or wired) and when it reaches 100%, but I have not yet seen it reboot while I've been holding it. This is not the problem where it then starts optimizing apps after rebooting. It just reboots. Any solutions to this (last resort is factory reset)?
New to the forums and looking for some opinions regarding my SGS2. recently updated to the latest O2 firmware (2.3.5) and ever since my phone has been very unstable. It reboots at random (has done so at least twice today just sitting on my desk doing nothing!) and I also have issues when plugged in via usb (loses connection whilst copying music over, can't expand storage, etc). Just wondering if anybody else has had similar issues with O2 Firmware, or if that's just a coincidence and I actually have a faulty handset??
The only issue I have had on my Droid 3, to this point, as been the terrible battery I have experienced, even having bought an extended battery. It's good to hear that there will hopefully be a fix for this soon.
I am wondering if anyone else has been having their Droid 3 reboot randomly for no reason at all? I have never had this issue, but for the last 3 days, it's been happening over and over. It happened 3 times yesterday, 2 the day before, and now the second time today.
I don't know if this was even an issue for anyone since this device has apparently had more issues than most, and I've been spared from the majority of them.
prior to the recent ota i had experienced many random reboots, usually when watching Internet video or listening to music while reading news app. i thought ota was supposed to fix some problems with reboots when phone was overloaded but since ota i am still experiencing some random reboots and warm battery under the same conditions as previosusly.
I'm experiencing random reboots and apps crashes. My phone was rooted a month ago. I tried to wipe partitions, make a factory reset, format partitions, flash stock 1 file and stock 4 files (with pit file inside). Sometimes the phones freezes and I need to restart it, sometimes it's rebooting by himself. When I'm working with it about a minute, apps start crashing.
My Pureview 808 has recently started doing random reboots, and showing a "system error" on every restart. I have carried out a *#7370# and reinstalled the full firmware image from Nokia Suite (twice) and am still getting the same issues. This occurs without doing any restore at all of previous files.
i had 2 reboots in the last 24 hours. One while i was on spotify and another one while i was playing. The phone freezes and then reboot. Is there a way to find out what's going wrong? Maybe read a log
After using the HTC sensation for almost a month. I have observed the following issue which only HTC can answer.
1) Random Reboots 2) Touch Screen unresponsiveness (Rather a dead screen)
Most of the people complain about the touch screen being unresponsive. Whereas for me the touch screen goes dead and I have to do a hard reset every time the screen goes dead.
Recently installed a new ROM and kernel, pure nexus ROM with the gods kernel. Its running very smooth however I'm having a problem with it. It'll do it randomly whether I'm multi tasking or not. Some times it will make a beep sound for 3 seconds and reboot. I have attached last_kernel message, I'm not sure if its that or the log cat.
My N97 (RM-507) was running so well until this latest OTA firmware update. Now I keep getting random "rainbow" LED pattern reboots occuring at the rate of about 1-2 per day.I'm afraid that I'm going to have to "wipe" the phone memory (hard reset) and reinstall all my programs over again (for about the 10th time!).
Twice now in the last week I have had the Turbo cut off the phone call and go to the black and white splash screen with the M for Motorola logo and then reboot. It has never rebooted any other time on its own except these two times while on a call.
My phone now goes into random reboot and goes into "Android is starting Optimizing app x of xxx" mode. It take a lot of efforts to bring phone back to normal. I googled for this issue but didn't find any firm solution for the same. My phone has custom ROM based on 5.1.1
The issue started few days ago and I am using this ROM since long time.
I usually put my N5 on an LG Wireless Qi charger at night before bed. Over the last week, I had a couple of days that when I woke up, I noticed that Android Assistant has reported a reboot over night.
I used to get the occasional reboot but on Thursday maybe from any update my phone was rebooting every 20 minutes even after clearing the cache. After Thursday it stopped rebooting and hasn't ever since.
The only other annoyance I received was camera cannot connect when I tried opening the camera app but was resolved with a reboot.
Its been 3 months I bought a new torch2.. And right from the first day i have been having problems with it... almost every alternate day you can't hear anything while making calls not even the caller tone. i made sure it wasnt the mute option or something like that... the sound doesnt come back till i remove the battery and reboot it.. also i am fed up of frequent random reboots and it suddenly stops working.. PS: the ONLY service station here in bhopal has been very uncooperative and have been over charging customers
My phone decides it want to reboot itself. I mean, I certainly don't know how my phone is feeling, so it can take the initiative and give itself a good rebooting when it needs it. Also, I don't know what motorola is making their batteries out of, but when I turn my phone off (or it decides to) I suddenly have more battery than I did previously. This kind of technology should be used more often so we never run out of juice on batteries of any kind.
I run the Nova Prime Launcher on my PE. I've had random reboots before but the latest one completely restored all of my home screens to stock. Luckily the settings within saved because it took me hours to perfect it. I tried a few reboots and a cache wipe but that did nothing.
