i remember using APP SETTINGS xposed app on previous android versions on my Note 2. But this is not working on my nexus 6P.
I don't want the message content to be shown in notification bar. Any possibility.
Also i am using TrueMesssenger sms app which is displaying PEEK or headsup notifications even after turning off the PEEK option from app info.
I just bought a Nexus 6P and had a hard time to transfer content from old iPhone 5S to 6P. There are a lot of free tutorials and recommendations on that, but up to now, only transferred the contacts. I also need to transfer text messages, music library and ebooks. Is there an all-in-one solution out there that would transfer those content more easily? It's just difficult to do it manually.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm looking to get a Nexus 6P, but I'll be using it for around two years (give or take, depending on what devices I can choose from in two years), and I've heard that AMOLED burn-in may become prevalent within a year or so. For some probably won't notice, even I probably wouldn't if I didn't find out that burn in exists, but I'm paranoid, so I'm thinking to use GMD's Hide Nav Bar (Root) app that I've been using on my Nexus 4 (for the sake of extra screen real-estate).
I'm wondering if this will minimize and effectively prevent burn-in of the Nav/Status bars? My main concern is the Nav bar, as Samsung's devices don't have them, making burn-in far less of an issue.
Are there any mods that allow it? There were a few that don't work with MM so I am looking for an alternative.Would be nice if Google defaulted to that instead of the solid black bar. I can do it from within my music player app. It just fills the screen more and makes it look classier in my opinion.I'd even go for an almost transparent navbar as well.

I noticed a couple times this week where I doing something on the phone, and look up and my clock is like 15 min (or whatever) behind. Not sure if it's related but it seems to happen when I lose connectivity in so much as everything says I'm connected to WIFI or LTE but no data is moving. I'll have to keep an eye for that one but the time thing has me concerned.

Am suspecting i have some invalid setting however not sure which. This used to work fine until recently and my service provider confirmed that set up from their end is enabled correctly.
If I'm on WiFi and make a call the phone won't ring but if I turn off WiFi I could here it ring before they answer ....
View 3 Replies View Relatedso I accidentally wiped the entire phone and tried to install chroma rom. Now after boot I'm getting an "Encryption Unsuccessful" message. and its asking me to reset phone.
I tap the Reset Phone button and I am taken to TWRP where it asks for a decryption password. I enter "default_password" and the phone reboots with the same issue.
When already on another call and someone else calls me, I no longer see the option to reject the call and reply with quick message replies.

I've tried removing it with system app remover and reinstalling it, still no dice.
So I went ahead and started to root my Nexus 6P. I installed the systemless modified boot.img and TWRP, then I sideloaded the systemless SuperSU in TWRP. I am encrypted and TWRP can decrypt still, however when I try to boot the phone, I get the Decryption unsuccessful message and it wants me to reset the phone. I hit reset, it factory resets in TWRP, and it just comes to the same screen upon boot.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI use my BB for personal use only. The email account I have registered on the phone is my gmail account. Just today, I noticed I can no longer send (compose new or reply) emails using this account on my phone. I get the following message in the email I attempt to send:
message status message included an invalid address
I can receieve my gmail messages on my phone no problem. My gmail account login information is correct on the phone.
I've tried searching for this problem but what I find always seems to be related to enterprise configurations using an Exchange Server and the fix was for the Exchange server. That doesn't fit my scenario.
New to Androids and the HTC One.
1. Is there any way to make the status/notification bar transparent on my HTC One?
I installed the apex launcher which allows me to hide the status bar entirely but I find that a bit annoying because I like to see the information on my notification bar at all times (i.e. time, connection). I just want the black strip to be transparent.
2. I just found out that there is an update to the software (4.3) and I'm currently on 4.1.2. If I install the update, will everything on my phone reset? Will I lose the layout of my icons with the apex launcher or Sense?
3. I've seen alot of people complain about 4.3 for various bugs. Do Androids receive fixes to such bugs quickly? My concern is that if I do update, I don't want to be on a buggy system for too long.
I have an LG G3. I did not like the stock messaging app because I would get missed message notifications and a couple random similar messages. so I tried two other apps. Textra and Google messenger. I still got the same missed messages so I figured it was a network type of thing so I removed the two apps. Now I have a notification at the top of my phone. It shows the MMS symbol and when I expand it open it says I have 6 MMS message not found. I clear it and it comes right back.

We have done everything in the post stating that you need to run the commands to set an accepted domain and make sure there are no spaces in the domain name. We are still experiencing random "this message has not been downloaded" or "this message has no content" errors on our IOS devices. I was able to find one thing in common with all of the problematic messages and that is the internet header is missing the following lines:

I got a BlackBerry Curve 3G couple of days back. I had my corporate email setup on it and it was working pretty fine. But i dont know what i did with it but starting today morning when i click "Message" icon it only shows "SMS" and no email msgs are shown in it
I even tried Menu >> View Folder >> Inbox ... still it is showing up only SMS content. Is there any settings which I need to change to get my emails shown within "Messages". But fyi, i am getting the alerts as 36 unread messages at the top of the screen!
After having had a hard time with a very crappy SG3, I am a very happy user of the Nexus 5 for two months now.
The only thing I miss a little bit is the easy way in which I could share my pics, movies etc to my Samsung TV (I have got a UE55ES8080 at home).
I tried to find apps like Samsung Allshare Play or something like it in the Playstore, but most of them are very badly rated and users recommend you to keep your fingers off them.
I definitely won't spend even more money on a Cromecast stick. Hey, I already got a TV that's supposed to be "Smart".
A little background story, I was in school in the locker room and its on the bottom floor in the middle of the school. I took my phone out and had no service. I looked at a text message I got earlier in the day but hadn't looked at until then and I noticed to the right of the 160 character count there was 1 of 6. Now I immediately tried sending a 2 page text to a friend just trying to test this and sure enough it sent both parts and she received both too. I have my original Storm 2 that I got from Verizon, it still has the stock OS on it, .320.Now after 2 days I found out a little more on why this happened. I had no service like I said, the bars were red and it said SOS. So I literally had no service. I checked the connections manager and it didn't show I was connected to Verizon Wireless. I then opened a text message and sure enough it was there, 1 of 6. It only shows up when you have no service at all. I then went back into service after typing two pages and it worked. I did try just turning the connection to the network off but that didn't work, it didn't show the multi-page message, 1 of 6. It only works if you find a dead zone/no service area. It showed up for all the contacts I had SMS messages for, no matter what carrier they had.
After my first post I decided to take a picture. Now I wasn't able to get/find a app before I went to school so I took my camera and took the pictures. They are not very clear at all but you can see what I'm talking about. This is the clearest picture I could seem to get. Its fuzzy but if you look at the top you will see the name of the contact and then just under it where it says 160 / 1 of 6.Multi-Page Text: 160 / 1 of 6 .Let me know what you think? I would really like to see this get integrated.
I received a text message that says "Media content in this message".
When I select it, it says "Get Media content now (1kb)".
When I select that, it says "Getting media content... (1kb).
But I do not see the media content!
I know Google said in january a car dock was coming. Any ideas when? The house dock is amazingly awesome, and the only thing thats holding me back is lack of a good car dock.I'm currently selling my iPhone (simply because I can sell it for so much, and still make a profit after buying a Nexus One), and will get a Nexus One, but I'm spoiled right now as I use an XM Skydock in my car.I just don't want some cheap aftermarket universal dock, I want something that fits just as good as the house dock.

I am trying to take a screen shot of a page in an app but I keep getting a message saying "content may be protected or the memory is full". I know the memory is not full as I have only just got the phone. I can take screenshots of other pages.

There are classes of SMS alerting that I am getting, and being able to change the tone according to family/friends, spam (yes, spam) and automated alerting would help filter (audibly) who is originating the message.
