I've noticed that for many songs, each headphone plays a slightly different part. I know there's a way to toggle this on other phones, but I don't know how to do it on an iPhone or Mac.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI no longer hear any key clicks or notification sounds, only a faint buzz from vibration, on my iphone 4S. Ringtone is still audible. Siri is also muted though I see the microphone is being activated. However, no other tones are. Checked all settings in sounds and all seems correct. When I push the volume button on the side, the display says ringer (headphones). So, I plugged headphones in and I am able to hear all of the sounds through them but not without the headphones. I've tried turning the phone off and on again and resetting with no results.

Is there a way to have the ringtone or notification sounds come through the headphones while listening to music? I know the music gets interrupted but it would be nice if it just rang in the headphones.

I had an S3 and S4 and I'm certain when I plugged my headphones in the ringtones, etc were no longer audible. The were heard on the headphones along with the music or whatever I was listening to. Why this may be happening?
View 14 Replies View RelatedSince yesterday my iPhone stopped making sounds from alerts and clicks from the keyboard but I know the speakers work because when I go to Settings-Sounds and I move the volume bar it rings. I'm already sure that the Lock sounds, Keyboard clicks and alerts are ON, but still doesn't work. Also, when I try to turn up the volume with the volume buttons on the iPhone it doesn't work. It shows the ringer icon but with no volume bars. I already cleaned all the dust in the dock connector and in the headset jack. Also tried plug and unplug the headphones, still not working.
I didn't drop the iPhone, neither spilled anything on it. It just suddenly stop working correctly.
I already restored the iOS 5.1 software but didn't work. It only works with the headset.

Just wondering if this is a bug or intentional? Whenever I have my headphones plugged in and I get a text notification (or any notification really) the noise plays through my headphones and through my speakers on my N5. Is this intentional and is there any way to stop this? I only want the noise coming through my headphones when they're plugged in.

I verified all my volumes are up,ve I tried a soft reset, and I even tried doing a hard reset--once by restoring the phone and another time completely starting it as if it were a new iPhone. My iPhone 6 Plus is less than a 2 weeks old but since day one its speaker sounds distorted.  The ringer or alerts or even the new email alert have a popping or clangy sound to them. Is this a software issue or hardware? My phone is uptodate and Ive tried hard reboots to try to alleviate the problem but it didn't fix the problem. Should I try to restore it?Â

Why the FM radio app won't play over speakers? Regular standalone radios have never had this issue (unless you count portable devices like the old Sony Walkman.

I'm trying to silence just the ringtone but when ever I do that on the sound menu it silences all other noises such as notifications and system sounds. Is there any way I can just make it to silence the ringtone but leave all the other sounds? Besides just using a silent ringtone?

I would change my sound profile to 'Normal' and it wouldn't play the sound whenever I got a message. I went into Edit Profiles > Normal > Messages > SMS > and I would go all the way to the bottom and press Try It, but the sound wouldn't play.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen i play media, even at top volume I can hardly hear it. I have set my media volume to max. I can hear system sounds and other sounds absolutely fine.
I have tried several different files and several different media players and I have the same problem with all of them.
No matter what I've tried, my 950 XL will not play sounds when I get emails. I've turned on "Play Sounds" in the settings, I've tried toggling between different email notification sounds, and still nothing. I also seem to be having this problem with Facebook Messenger. But no issues with texts, or things such as reminders.

This message plays constantly, it plays over the audio I'm trying to listen to and when I unplug the headphone cord from the jack it keeps playing through the phone speakers.
I don't have a wireless headset, I'm just trying to use a 3.5mm cord to connect to a car stereo. I've tried 4 or 5 different cables and they all do the same thing. I can sometimes listen to audio through the headphone jack without getting the message but if the cord gets moved around at all it will start in with the message again. It will also start a google search for no reason when there are headphones plugged in.
Sometimes I unplug the headphone jack and plug it back in when I'm trying to use it but when you unplug the headphones, it lowers the volume to a "safe listening level" and I get a message when I try to raise it. Again, I'm not using headphones, just trying to connect to a car stereo.
This has been going on since I bought the phone just after it was released. I was hoping it would stop with lollipop but it didn't. The message used to say something different / shorter, but it's still a louid / annoying message that drowns out my podcasts.
I have a really bad problem with my Galaxy S5. My S4 was fine until I updated to Lollipop, so I think that's the problem.

That's fine.
BUT suddenly during notification, the music ALSO plays through the speakers for a few seconds! This is really frustrating because I receive messages throughout the day and don't want everyone around me to be disturbed with what I'm listening to (in library, on bus, etc.).
Nothing I try works.
Before Lollipop, Whatsapp notification would play on speakers and audio still through headphones. That was fine.
