i've had my BlackBerry Curve 8520 for a while, and i've had no problems with it until today. I would change my sound profile to 'Normal' and it wouldn't play the sound whenever I got a message. I went into Edit Profiles > Normal > Messages > SMS > and I would go all the way to the bottom and press Try It, but the sound wouldn't play.

No matter what I've tried, my 950 XL will not play sounds when I get emails. I've turned on "Play Sounds" in the settings, I've tried toggling between different email notification sounds, and still nothing. I also seem to be having this problem with Facebook Messenger. But no issues with texts, or things such as reminders.

I have a different sound for texting and other notifications. When I get a text I get the vibration but not with any other notification. Vibration intensity is set all the way.

I selected and downloaded a notification sound from them, (I've used this app a ton!) and set it on my phone. It worked but I got sick of it and tried to change it. It still played the original tone. So I deleted it from my phone, selected a diff tone, and now it won't play any notification sound at all when I get a text. I figured it out. I went into my text messages. Then hit the menu button, and settings... from there I chose a notification tone and then it worked.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince yesterday my iPhone stopped making sounds from alerts and clicks from the keyboard but I know the speakers work because when I go to Settings-Sounds and I move the volume bar it rings. I'm already sure that the Lock sounds, Keyboard clicks and alerts are ON, but still doesn't work. Also, when I try to turn up the volume with the volume buttons on the iPhone it doesn't work. It shows the ringer icon but with no volume bars. I already cleaned all the dust in the dock connector and in the headset jack. Also tried plug and unplug the headphones, still not working.
I didn't drop the iPhone, neither spilled anything on it. It just suddenly stop working correctly.
I already restored the iOS 5.1 software but didn't work. It only works with the headset.

i can't hear any sounds. when i try to listen to music, or go on Internet or anything, i can't hear any sound. but get this: when someone calls me, i can hear the ringtone.after restoring original settings and deleting all my contacts, most of my programs etc (and all my settings, which i've now restored), i noticed that the headphones icon is on the bottom of my screen. if i connect headphones (well, in-ear earbuds), i can hear sounds from my music player, Internet etc, but when i connect or disconnect them, it doesn't even let me choose an enhancement.

If i connect the headphones it only rings when the music player is on. If i stop the player is not ringing again, only vibrates. I know the menu very well and is all set to the right parameters. I've bought a new housing complete and i'm waiting to have it delivered next week because 99% i think is the speaker.

I tried going through the profiles to make sure they weren't muted or off and nothing is working. I recently went to whistler to ski, and when i got back to my hotel room i dropped my iphone in the bathtub while i was playing angry birds (stupid, stupid, stupid). It was submerged for about 2 seconds with an otter box case on. I know its not very effect from liquids but it does block the plug in well but not the speakers. It was fine as i instantly dried it out of the case and it worked fine. But later i tried to play music outloud and the volume bar would disappear and it would stop playing music. It thinks it is docked, sometimes even with headphones in. Both liquid indicaters are white and nothing else is wrong.

i am currently using Blackberry 9790 and i am having trouble in finding the "Email Accounts" menu in Setup, it is just not there.i was using the 7.1.0.523 then i upgraded it to the latest OS 7.1.0.746 the menu appeared after I upgraded it at first but after I restarted the device it was gone again like before.
