View 16 RepliesIs it possible (Yes I know anything is possible) to make the FM Radio play through the loudspeaker instead of the headphones? I understand the headphones are needed for the RF Antenna which if fine. However, is there a way to redirect the audio from the headphones to the loud speaker?

When i play media, even at top volume I can hardly hear it. I have set my media volume to max. I can hear system sounds and other sounds absolutely fine.
I have tried several different files and several different media players and I have the same problem with all of them.
My iPhone 4s will not play sound unless the headphones are plugged in. I can't hear anything at all without the headphones, not even Siri. I've tried cleaning out the headphone jack, updating my software, closing all open apps, restarting my phone, and plugging the headphones in and out repeatedly, but nothing is working.

I was wondering if there is anyway to play my alarm thru my headphones not the speaker.

I've noticed that for many songs, each headphone plays a slightly different part. I know there's a way to toggle this on other phones, but I don't know how to do it on an iPhone or Mac.

One of my headphones has controls to stop and start music, and that works, but it will never play music into the headphones. I've tried turning the phone on and off as well as cleaning it. I've tried listening an audiobook off of overdrive, music, and youtube. I have an htc one mini....

View 14 Replies View RelatedCan the S6 be played through my car radio via USB? I don't have Bluetooth (or 3.5 mm) in my car and this is one of the reasons I've thought about switching to an iphone. I know this isn't possible with my Nexus 4 but I was wondering if Samsung has done anything about this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy bold 9900 doesnt play music through the headphones anymore, it just blasts it out. i have tried rebooting it and tried several pairs of headphones. when i plug them in, the icon flashes between the headset icon and the normal icon. i have also tried putting them in slowly and holding them in, but none of these work. I have only recently bought it and it has never been dropped or damaged.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I connect a 3.5mm cord to my phone I get the message, "Hi, to get started please go to google app settings on your phone, which is now locked. Here's how, go to your google app settings, choose voice, and under hands free turn the wireless headsets option on."
This message plays constantly, it plays over the audio I'm trying to listen to and when I unplug the headphone cord from the jack it keeps playing through the phone speakers.
I don't have a wireless headset, I'm just trying to use a 3.5mm cord to connect to a car stereo. I've tried 4 or 5 different cables and they all do the same thing. I can sometimes listen to audio through the headphone jack without getting the message but if the cord gets moved around at all it will start in with the message again. It will also start a google search for no reason when there are headphones plugged in.
Sometimes I unplug the headphone jack and plug it back in when I'm trying to use it but when you unplug the headphones, it lowers the volume to a "safe listening level" and I get a message when I try to raise it. Again, I'm not using headphones, just trying to connect to a car stereo.
This has been going on since I bought the phone just after it was released. I was hoping it would stop with lollipop but it didn't. The message used to say something different / shorter, but it's still a louid / annoying message that drowns out my podcasts.
I have a really bad problem with my Galaxy S5. My S4 was fine until I updated to Lollipop, so I think that's the problem.
I'm playing music with headphones plugged in, Whatsapp notification sound plays through speakers.
That's fine.
BUT suddenly during notification, the music ALSO plays through the speakers for a few seconds! This is really frustrating because I receive messages throughout the day and don't want everyone around me to be disturbed with what I'm listening to (in library, on bus, etc.).
Nothing I try works.
Before Lollipop, Whatsapp notification would play on speakers and audio still through headphones. That was fine.
Does anyone have this issue of the notifications playing trhough BOTH the speaker and headphones? I have read that this is a Android issue that Google has not fixed yet

Everytime I try to play or scan the fm radio, i get a message saying unable to use fm radio when offline profile is active. I have been playing around with the phone quite a bit as it's my first smartphone. So I could have disabled something. I have tried it with wi/fi and 3g enabled.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI currently have an N86 which is pretty good as far as i'm concerned. The only things i can fault it on are a rather flaky operating system which tends to crash a bit too often and a very fragile screen cover, but for the most part i can live with these issues.I'm currently due for an upgrade on my contract and would like something that does much the same as the N86 does, but the sticking point is the FM Transmitter function (referred to as "Play by Radio" on some handsets) which i use a lot. Neither Nokia nor any third party seems to produce a list of current handsets which has this functionality built in, perhaps because its use is restricted in some territories and thus varies.
