Apr 7, 2011Is there any way to silence a BBM contact who you don't want to delete, but they constantly send you junk?
Or for that matter make custom sounds for different BBM contacts?

Sep 4, 2015I have set my S5 Mini with all the sounds I want, different sounds for different things.
However when it comes to the Clock > Alarm, something I use on a regular basis (old timers is setting in), even though in "Notifications" I have set it to the sound I want, the Clock > Alarm just refuses to play ball, it always defaults back to Samsung's sound.
It is such a quiet sound, I have on occasion missed an appointment, I normally remember to set the sound I want the phone to play, but on the odd occasion I have forgotten, hence the missed appointments.
I have searched the phone for these sounds, hooked the phone up to my PC, and done a search just on the phone for those pesky Samsung sounds. Both way's it cannot find the sound I so desperately want to be rid of.
All of my other Ringtones and Notifications work as I have set them, bar Clock > Alarm.
How I can find them, and delete them?

Oct 11, 2012The ICS update installed flawlessly and was working without issue until last night. I noticed that my personally assigned ringtones and notifications were suddenly gone. I went through the tedious process of reassigning all the sounds again and all was good, until I plugged the phone into the USB port on my pc to charge. I'm aware the SD card is not identifiable when plugged in, so I thought to move my personalized sound app back to the phone, but after again reassigning the sounds, they get "lost" when I plug the cable into the USB port. This seems to happen randomly, because overnight, my sounds were "lost" and the phone was only plugged in to a wall charger. I Googled and it appears the problem did occur on other phones when they received the ICS update

Mar 21, 2012Since yesterday my iPhone stopped making sounds from alerts and clicks from the keyboard but I know the speakers work because when I go to Settings-Sounds and I move the volume bar it rings. I'm already sure that the Lock sounds, Keyboard clicks and alerts are ON, but still doesn't work. Also, when I try to turn up the volume with the volume buttons on the iPhone it doesn't work. It shows the ringer icon but with no volume bars. I already cleaned all the dust in the dock connector and in the headset jack. Also tried plug and unplug the headphones, still not working.
I didn't drop the iPhone, neither spilled anything on it. It just suddenly stop working correctly.
I already restored the iOS 5.1 software but didn't work. It only works with the headset.

My phone still powers on, I still have my custom lock screen and all but I can only make emergency calls and access SBSettings which doesn't actually work anymore. So I tried to restore the the custom firmware and itunes keeps giving me the 1600 error .. I have heard iReb can fix this but I dont even know if its compatible with the 3GS for this issue.. I have tried but its kinda confusing and hasnt exactly worked..

- all other options (vol, LED, vib, etc) are set to "Active Profile"
- hit "try it" and you get nothing.
- if that person actually sends an SMS, either you dont get ringtone, or it does default Lightspeed tone.
also, if you set any of the other options (vol,LED,vib), the ring tone works: but if you do custom ringtone for voice calls, everything work as it should. started happening after i upgraded to the 428 leak. hasnt gone away since all the hybrids if installed.

I tried going through the profiles to make sure they weren't muted or off and nothing is working. Jul 5, 2010I've been trying (unsuccessfully) for the past 5 hours to resolve a custom ringtone issue with my 9700 and it is driving me crazy!I have custom ringtones set for some of my contacts for calls and messages and they were all working perfectly. Then today, I received a text message from one of my contacts and noticed the tone was the from the default profile. I checked the contact setting and the custom ringtone was the same, but whenever messages from the contacts came in, it was using the default profile. Whenever I get calls from the contact, the custom ringtone works, but all of a sudden it just stopped working for messages. Then I realized this situation is the same for ALL contacts that I had a custom ringtone for. I am completely baffled. I've probably done about 100 battery pulls.
