Aug 30, 2014When I turn on my hotspot on my iPhone 5s, then Bluetooth and wifi, I can connect using Bluetooth, but wifi does not show in my discoverable networks when trying to tether to my ipad 3. Tried resetting network settings on both devices, using the system reset too but it does not show as a discoverable network connection. I have tried using other apple equipment too.

Jun 16, 2011I just got a 9800 Torch and am using OS 6. After experimenting with the Media-Sync and Wi-Fi Options,I decided to go old school and enter my music via USB. Before I started this, I wanted to remove the files that were added by syncing as all my music was duplicated 2 or 3 times - I think the files were loading onto my Device Card and my Media Card.I have scoured all the media areas on both cards both from the BB and via my desktop (for hidden files); I even re-formatted both cards.The challenge I'm having is that one file will not delete completely. The actual MP3 is gone, but on the Music Screen the following data in the "Artists" "Albums" and "Genres" Folders:(Unknown)Artist Name(unknown)1 Song?

Jul 20, 2015I have a few contacts that as long as I have texts from them they show up when I search for their names in the "people" section of the phone app. When I delete their texts and search for them the contact info isn't there. However, if I enter their number instead of their name on the dialer their contact info shows up. I'm so confused as to why this would happen.

May 14, 2010I'm new to the BB and purchased an 8330 on ebay. Everythings seems to be fine, except, not all of the pervious owner info was deleted before I got it.. I was able to go into the user info by deleting and adding my own and that worked fine. I was able to activate the phone ok.However, when I set up the email account info for my web mail account, it created an additional account and didn't replace the old owners Gmail account.
I receive my emial fine but when I reply from the phone it goes our through the Gmail and not my webmail account. Both Icons are on the screen and I have set "Hide" and "Show All". If I uncheck "Show All" the Icon disappears. If I recheck the "Show All" it is back so it must still be active in background. (I do this uncheck by opening the Browser Icon.) The old name is still there on that Gmail account.
How do I get rid of this old user info, so it won't haunt me anymore?

Aug 27, 2010I installed LockInfo a while ago. I got everything working fine, downloaded it and plugins fine. I got them all from the same repo as I was advised to do that, and everything seemed to be working fine. Everything was up to date etc.
I received an SMS, and instead of it appearing under the SMS on LockInfo, which it does, it appears as well by the annoying Apple notification box.
I still want my phone to light up when I received a text message and the text message to be displayed under the SMS tab in LockInfo, but how do I get rid of the Apple notification box? I saw when configuring the app there was some thing about quick replying to texts and there was a list to choose form. Would any of those get rid of the Apple alert?

Jun 13, 2011I have read the discussions on the screen glare on the xoom and do not find the answer to my question. I was told by sales person to install the Zagg Screen protectant. I did so and what a mess, so I took it back to Best Buy and they replaced it and installed it for another $15. I went outside to take some pictures of a quail and her 15 babies and could seen nothing on the screen. Tried different ways. Then I thought about doing work or play with my Xoom outside on the deck and that was a lost cause too.
What can I do to get rid of the glare on the Xoom screen with the Zagg installed? Can I put something over the Zagg? It was not cheap and I paid to have it installed.The person who answered my question I though was just making a joke. I tried full brightness of the screen and my sunglasses. IT WORKED> Kind of dark but good enough to see what I was taking a picture of I need to find the name of the last reply because that was the one with the answer that worked.

Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I recently swapped out to a larger memory card but I had the problem on both cards.

Apr 1, 2012Using an iPhone 4, I accidently made a Web Clip from Safari. I've read that a red X should appear after holding down on the icon, but it does not pop up? I'm sure the Web Clip icon is not shipped with the iPhone, so why can I not delete it straight from my phone?
