I have tried everything, reconfigured e-mail setup multiple times but still hotmail cannot send e-mail on my HTC One-X and always saying unable to send e-mail. There is no place to changed the port under hotmail setup in my device.
View 1 RepliesSince my latest iphone 4 update I cant send any pics whilst being on 3G with my hotmail account. It works fine whilst being on wifi and it works fine being on 3G but using gmail. I have entered the settings a couple of times and tried other stuff but nothing seems to work.

I stopped receiving emails from my hotmail accont to my phone yesterday and then had a message from blackberry saying I needed to validate my email, which I did fine and also registered my blackberry ID. However, I still cannot send or receive my emais and when I try to send it comes up with an error message: 'User account is in INVALID mode'. I did change my hotmail password the other day; don't know if this is of importance. In addition, I have tried to modify the email account set up on my blackberry but it will not allow me to access the current account settings or allow me to add a new account, the option just doesn't exist or appear, which had not been an issue up until now. I could, however, set up an enterprise account if wanted. I am not sure who to contact about this so thought I'd post here first...

Recently I have been unable to send messages from my Hotmail account on my BB Torch, the message initially appears to have sent OK then after a few seconds a red cross is displayed and the Message Status changes to General Failure.

Despite registering my device with my wireless carrier by registering under the host routing table and getting a confirmation message, the AT&T bis site is not recognizing my PIN or IMEI (they are entered correct, the error message is that the device is not registered). I have also tried to integrate the Hotmail account through the mobile.blackberry.com site but get a website error (HTTP Status 500, looks like a Javascript error) when I click on integrate my Hotmail account.
PS: The software vesion is 7.0.0 Bundle 1355.

I have two hotmail accounts that I receive e-mails from. I was successfully able to add one but not the other. The one that worked is a .com account where as the other is a .ca account. They both used to work just fine on my S3.
I tried the stock e-mail app and g-mail. Neither work. I tried adding it as an Exchange Account, IMAP and POP3. No luck. Tried modifying the connection/server settings, still nothing. Even downloaded a third party app (Nine) but that didn't work either. Nine did however lead me to a tool that told me that the account can't be set up as an exchange although I don't really understand why.
I'm really frustrated over this issue as I've spent quite a bit of time asking and searching on the internet without any definitive answers. I need to get this matter settle sooner rather than later as I'm about to upgrade phones.I know that Hotmail doesn't have a 2-way sync solution with a Blackberry. So how do people keep both their Hotmail and blackberries in sync?Just to be clear, I don't want to talk about Yahoo Mail or Gmail as I know the latter now support 2-way sync with BIS. I'm asking about Hotmail.

After I set up the account on my new iPhone 4s (using the Hotmail option for adding an account), I discovered that deleting emails on the phone deleted the emails from the server as well. Doing some checking on-line, I read that you could select the Advanced option, and then specify "never" delete emails on the server. However, my hotmail account on the iPhone doesn't have an Advanced option. I talked to Apple support, deleted the account and re-added it using the Other option (vs. Hotmail). I was then able to see the Advanced option. However, I no longer have the option to Sync calendars, contacts or reminders.

I tried a Gmail account and it works fine, I just get an error "The application has encountered and error and cannot continue" for my hotmail account. I have contacted T-Mobile and they tried to help me, however they told me, after few tires, that BB does not support Hotmail accounts.

I have two separate business e mail accounts running on my E75. One uses mail for exchange and the other connects directly. I understand this is the maximum number of accounts I can have, so have to connect to my hotmail account via the web browser. None of that is a problem. The problem is that I can't open attachments sent to me by hotmail on my phone. i can see them at the top of the message but I can't click on them and open them. The phone is normally good at opening attachments on my work e mail addresses (word, excel, pdf etc) but with Hotmail there seems to be nowhere to click.
View 6 Replies View RelatedGot an E72 last week and went throug the e-mail setup and added a hotmail account and it worked fine. After three days or so the e-mails just stopped coming into the phone. When I checked my hotmail account on my PC I found a lot of new mails. I tried to delete the account and add it again. The result is an empty inbox. When I try to sync It says that it is connected to hotmail and that it is updating but I don´t get any e-mails to the phone.Any ideas what could have happend and how to solve this. I think I have changed all the settings and tried everyting and read a lot of threads on diffrent forums but I can´t find an answer.
