I can't enable "Force GPU rendering" under "Developer options" as every time I check this box and leave the page, when I come back I find the option disabled.
View 1 RepliesI've noticed that when I restart my phone some of my developer options will get reset to default. I haven't fully troubleshooted which ones get reset but specifically: "Wi-Fi verbose logging", "Allow Wi-Fi roaming scans", and "Limit background processes" all get reset to default after a restart. Other settings like: "Include bug reports in power menu", "Use NuPlayer" stay the same after I restart.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to the G3 (from an iPhone) and had a lot of trouble with call quality on the first phone so I switched to the S5. Long story short, I'm back to the G3 and am having some trouble with the new phone. The colors on the screen looked somewhat washed out and the camera isn't nearly as fast as the first phone - seems to take 3-5 seconds between shots to be able to take a photo (with just the 3 dots visible) or for the shutter button to reappear. It's the same whether HDR is on or off and if I swap down to 10mp I notice a lot of grain.
Colors looked washed out, faces had a blue tone and pictures were blurry. I did a soft reset and I also unmounted and remounted the SD card - no change. Finally, I noticed a Developer Options menu. After digging around on the internet, I thought this is a hidden menu that has to be unlocked? I decided to do a factory reset; the developer options menu disappeared, photos look much better although some pictures are still blurred and the screen looks much warmer. I have the Black G3 on Sprint and my Sprint Zone keeps saying there is an update but when I click on it, it pops up a message that says, "Update cancelled."
Can't turn off keep all activities off in developer options it just resets back to on and it's making my phone lag and won't let me open camera settings.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a Nokia 6220 Classic and over the past few weeks, certain keypads have started acting strangely. Firstly it was the [7] key. When I pressed the keypad nothing happened so I hit it a few more times and eventually the number came up. As time went by, the problem spread to [1], [4] and [*/+] until finally none of them react at all anymore. As a result, I can turn the phone on but I can't enter my pin-code to access the menu etc.Has anybody encountered this type of thing before? I'm at my wits end and am just wondering if anyone has any words of advice that might help me. I've obtained an early exit fee from my service provider so now I just need to find out if it's going to cost more to fix at a Nokia Care Center.

Please see the attached screenshots showing the issue on Lifehacker.com (Problem exists on all other Kinja sites as well). I have confirmed with Chrome, Firefox and Opera, it's the same for all three. The problem does not exist on my old android phone, which has the same browser versions. Looking into the code, it seems the font in question is Proxima Nova Condensed Regular. Unfortunately, because of this issue the link to see the next page of articles does not even show, so I can only ever read the first page.

When i go online, the same emails have been deleted from my mailbox.
I recently upgraded to OS6 2333 from OS Everything works fine EXCEPT I cannot not access "options" from messages. It shows up on the menu, but when I press it, nothing happens!
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhile driving I like to use Google Map and Trapster to track my route, traffic and speed traps. As the apps track movement, I expected the maps to scroll smoothly. While occassionally I see a smooth transition, much of the time, there is a lengthy delay where a portion of the map is white, while it waits to draw the new area. Is this delay a result of the Storm 2 hardware, or is it associated with download/network speed as the device has to download a new map each time you travel to a new area? Sometimes it can take several minutes to redraw the new map-- so I'm thinking it may be related to network speed in different areas as you travel.

On the one hand, that sounds great, as the broken up emails were annoying. On the other hand, one of the great advantages of my 9700 over iPhones that I have had is that email is readable on a BB!The iPhone often gets so wrapped up in rendering the email that text can appear super tiny or not wrapped correctly so that there is an absolute ton of horizontal scrolling and no amount of zooming in/out can get it right.Is this now a problem for the Torch? Or has RIM found a way around this. I have read that the browser manages to reformat text to fit the page, so I wonder if RIM have done something similar for emails to circumvent this issue.Basically, is the process of reading emails more involved and more of a pain now, even if more true to the original formatting?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked/unbranded W995.I used SEUS to update the firmware to R1HA036 however found that the phone was subject to frequent random hangs while browsing through media.I went to reflash and SEUS downgraded me to R1HA035.The firmware seems a bit more stable but one annoying thing is that when browsing through photos it seems that the photos are pixelated for a few seconds before then 'cleaning up' and being able to be viewed properly.

I am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
Whenever I select "Options" from the BB Menu button's drop down list on my Torch 9800, the screen flashes, then goes back to my home screen. It has been this way for quite a while (nearly a year) and I am thinking that there is a permission that was inadverdently disabled. It does not work whether i use the native BB6 theme or others i have downloaded. how to make "Options" option start working again?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my N9 yesterday and couldn't quite find info on how to install the Opera web browser, so i decided to enable "developer mode" in settings. That didn't help, so i decided to reboot the phone. When starting it up again, it now asks me for a security code. A code which i don't recall setting, and can't find any info on the internet about.
Note: I have previously set my PIN-code to 0000 and then disabled the pin code check, so it's NOT the pin code that's the problem. Also tried to insert my PUK-code, but that didn't help either.
I have an iPhone 3GS running 3.1.3. I want to install a developer profile to enable tethering (AT&T) without jailbreaking. How can I do this? I tried installing the developer profile (while running 3.1.3) and it installed, but it didn't work. Is there a hardware restriction as well?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend's Lumia 1020 is unbelievably slow. It takes forever to load apps like Messenger or WhatsApp, etc.
Any app in general. Just really slow to load up. It's also laggy sometimes.
WP is a really efficient system, so there must be a software-related fix, as the hardware is still good. She is running WP 8.1 Developer Preview. She doesn't have a ton of apps, and she closes her apps after using them. I know she doesn't have a lot of space left of storage, around 1.2 GB, but it's something.
Clicking on Options from home screen, does not show the menu item "advanced options". It used to be there nut now is gone. It "was" the last menu item in the option but now the last one is "Third Party Apps".
In order under Options the list is as follows:
