HTC One M9 :: Why Does Phone Abnormally Reset Constantly
May 26, 2015
I bought an M9 about a week ago and i'm having lots of problems with it randomly resetting itself. It restarts the whole phone and then asks if I want to send an error report about an abnormal reset.I've tried reading the log file of the error, but it's so long I can't even scroll to half way, so what it says at the bottom.
I tried a factory reset the other day, and I have only installed 2 apps on my phone now, but this keeps happening, whether I'm using the phone or even if it's just sitting there minding its own business.I read a thread about this happening on the M8 and tried to follow the instructions to clear the cache partition, but my boot loader view is very different to the one in that thread.
Basically my G3 reboots itself every so oftern. At first I linked it to google maps as 9/10 times the phone would crash when I tried to use it.
Last night I did a hard reset (hold power button and - volume) and started from scratch installing one app at a time.
It was running fine until I installed spotify then it started again! It got so bad that the phone would restart as soon as I tried to unlock the screen. I uninstalled spotify, but am still having the issue, so it cant be spotify? Unless it has left a corrupt file behind?
I will sometimes be redirected to the play store looking at some random app, but usually chrome opens up to some page along the lines of "congratulations you've won!" or "warning! your phone has a virus" etc.. This has been going on for months and I'm still not sure what triggers it. It usually happens right when I open up an app (no specific one, happens to all of them as far as I can tell) or after I've been using an app for a short amount of time, or when I'm using chrome. So far I have tried clearing the cache and data on chrome and running an addons detector, both to no avail. (no problematic apps were detected)
My e72 constantly restarts by itself - I cannot find reason why it happens - sometimes phone restarts when i type sms, sometimes when I unlock phone and so one, fw = 022.007, twice I made hard reset (restored backup notices, calendar, contacts) but this did not help what can I try else?
Right, so the other day my G3 started to keep rebooting randomly and gradually got worse throughout the day but would turn on and be usable for an amount of time.
I have tried the following:
Booting into safe mode Having it plugged into the wall charger Hard Reset Flashing the firmware using LG Flash Tool
Nothing has fixed the issue and unfortunately it is out of warranty. Currently it will load up but straight away reboot.
I got my HTC One about 3-4 weeks back from vodafone and everything worked perfectly, then about a week ago my camera started going out of focus and i cannot get a single picture in focus. The other problem I have is I accidentally dropped my phone, this was like a day after I figured out about the camera, and it's got the tiniest crack at the top of the screen. It's pretty much invisible unless you put the phone under a bright light and look for it, it doesn't bother me because it doesn't effect the screen and I cant even tell, however the people in the vodafone told me it voided my warranty.
I have had the 950XL for almost a week. I set it up off a back up of my 1520, and didnt have any issues for the first few days. When I received my 128 gig SD card, and hard reset, and loaded the backup of itself it does a weird thing that if i look at it wrong, touch the glass wrong, I actually havent figured out why it does it) it restarts. Soft reboot style.
I have a new LG G4 phone from Android, and it's not even 6 months old, but it keeps restarting. The LG logo will come up, then the screen will go black, and then the LG logo will appear back up. It's been doing this for about 5 hours now, and I've tried resetting it back to the factory settings, but it goes right back to rebooting on it's own.
For at least the last 6 months I've been having a constant problem with making phone calls from my blackberry. Whenever I make a call more 99% of the time I have problems where the person's voice on the other end of the phone is constantly breaking up.or the voice sounds distorted (the only way I can really describe this is that it sounds almost like someone's playing the sound back in slow motion with a lot of inteference noise mixed in). Other times I have attempted to make a phone call and after waiting to hear a ringtone while the screen reads "connecting" for a while, I get the "call failed" message. I would put these problems down to bad signal but when I make the calls my phone always has at least 3 bars of signal. At first I wasn't sure if the problems were from my phone or whether it was from the phones I've been calling, but today I've called 3 different numbers and had exactly thesame problem with it.
Why is this stupid phone constantly switching off by itself? The other night it could not stay on for 5 min, every time I try to write a message the freaken thing reboots.Tonight again, busy typing a message, it switched off, rebooted and restarted. When all sort (well so I thought) I try to carry on with my message that was mostly wiped off, just as I started typing again, boooooommmmm we go again. Is there no setting or something? Why does it keep doing it.
It seems that when I am connected to any WiFi network (home or work) my phone will constantly switch between 4G and WiFI. The only way I have been able to work around this issue is by disabling Mobile Data while I am on WiFi and disabling Smart Network Switch.
I have the Storm 2 9550 with Verizon.Since the latest update (v5.0.0.607), my phone freezes constantly to the point where the phone is really unusable. I spend a lot of time looking at the mini clock spinning in the middle of the screen, while I try desperately to kill my phone.I did not have this problem at all before the update.
I live in Curitiba, Paraná. I've been complaining about a Sony Xperia smartphone Z3. I purchased 15 days. The same has been exposed to splashing water (shower), which is acceptable because the equipment is designed for these situations splashes and even submersion, to its limits of course, had the same problems on the 09/08/15 03: 29 am began an endless vibration, even turning off the machine vibration remained and after endless vibration, 05:00 am it stopped and did not return to vibrate, but began another breakdown, celebrates open the camera unintentionally, the which it was in this condition when I got to this point of the complaint, (5:15 am) and so far did not return open.
I believe it is a problem in sealing the camera button, as it was for him that the problem manifested itself. I now believe that if there was water into the unit, the motherboard was damaged, so need immediate replacement device, for me the device is an essential commodity. I look forward soon return Sony's what should I do in this situation, since the device has addiction but not stopped operating (for now).
Ever since I got my Sprint Galaxy S5 phone, it drops it's Wifi connection constantly. I have taken the phone back to Sprint and they assure me that it is fine. However, in the mean time it is still dropping the Wifi and now i am getting charged over usage charges for going over my 1GB limit..
So it's been one of those days , my phone fell on the ground and the back got completely shattered but it was still working , but then I spilt some Pepsi on it so I decided to rinse it till it's clean , cause you know , it's waterproof and stuff but now not only is the back shattered , the screen started to flicker and then it wouldn't start anymore and all it does is constantly flash red lights in the corner of the phone when it's being charged.
So I've had lollipop since the Dev preview was released and I had less bugs on the preview than the final release. After side loading lollipop my phone randomly restarts itself and goes into loop. It gets to the point that when I try to get into recovery mode I can't make it to the restart boot loader screen without my phone constantly restarting.
Eventually it stops after a few minutes or up to a few hours. When this cycle occurs and I plug it into the charger the cycle gets even worse. My phone was unusable for over 5 hours yesterday. I've tried restoring it but no luck. What do I do !?
A few days ago my Google Nexus 5 began constantly rebooting for no apparent reason. Most times when the phone rebooted it would not even get past the Goolge logo before rebooting again. Occasionally the phone would go farther at which point it would say that it was optimizing apps. Sometimes it would reboot again right in the middle of this process. I was not connected to WiFi at the time this whole thing began so it should not have been updating in the first place.
On the rare occasions that the phone started up completely I tried running it in Safe Mode, clearing the cache and doing a factory reset in the hopes that the issue is being caused by an app, all to no avail!!!! NOW THE PHONE WON'T EVEN TURN ON!!!!
My son's nexus started rebooting on its own here and there a little less than a month ago. Last week it started boot looping. I would have to turn it off(only worked sometimes by going into fastboot mode). Tried resetting and wiping in recovery with no luck. This problem gets worse when it's plugged up to a computer the phone turns into a reboot machine. I read up it could be the power button and took it apart to find the button works fine (still cleaned out though).
the phone was purchased 4 months ago and regularly freezes and crashes when using it. The software also sometimes will perform the wrong function when an icon or button on the phone is pressed. I have tried updating the software to see if that would help but for the last 2 weeks I have been told that the Update Centre is overloaded and I can't download the new software.
Yesterday, I went running with my Lumia 1020 listening to music and using the Runtastic app. The music stopped - I looked at the phone - it was turned off. I tried powering on, but to no avail. I should also mention that upon leaving, the battery was fully charged and this happened after some 20 minutes. When I came home, I immediately put the phone on the wall charger and expected it to power on after a while. I checked it after 3 hours and nothing, the phone was still stone-dead and what was even more worrying, completely cold - no heat-up from charging.
I tried connecting it to my PC - the computer didn't even recognize ANY device was connected to it. Just to be sure, I tried Nokia Software Recovery Tool, but sure enough, it was not able to detect the phone. The phone seems to be dead meat now, but when I put it on my desk wireless charging stand, the stand's indicator lights up, although the phone does nothing and stays that way.
My htc one(m7) started behaving strangely. It says htc sense has been stopped unfortunately ..... So I tried to reset it..... I pressed the power button +the volume down button and got the boot menu and when i choose the factory reset, it gets turned off then shows the logo of htc ... thats it and does not respond..... I have tried it several times and the result is same....
