I'm coming from an older HTC phone with ICS. With ICS, there was an option somewhere in the settings to keep the screen alive while charging. I have been through all the settings on the m8 (I think) and cannot find anything similar. I use this in my car, when I have the phone plugged in and listing to music, that way I dont have to turn the screen on to change tracks or see what artist is playing.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning to a big red x across a battery sign on my blackberry bold 9900, i immeditately took the battery out and used a hirdryer to warm it up as i have been warned about this before. after about 10 minutes i put the battery back in and everything turned on fine, then i went to charge my blackberry and it would not work. I used serveral different ports, wall chargers, different usb cables and points and none of this worked.It had ran almost of battery and stayed working for about and hour when it died again, i then put it in the usb point when i got to work and again it would not charge and the red cross appeared. it is now all taken apart and is sitting on the radiator.

I was a M7 user for almost two years and I have never experienced that problem with it (even tried the same chargers on the M7, no problem) and it's quite annoying, to be honest. Although I appreciate the bigger battery and how it lasts longer, I like to use it at night while it's still charging (between the 40 - 70% range) and I find that while it is plugged in, the touch-screen is extremely laggy. It is very noticeable when swiping (it just randomly opens an app), when typing (it keeps opening recent apps), and of course when trying to play a game (it's just completely horrendous). The phone goes back to normal as soon as I plug the charger out.

I am a blackberry torch user. I just purchased the phone few days ago and I have an issue regarding the screen backlight. My blackberry torch screen backlight will always stay on while charging even when i have exit the bedside mode. I also have to tell all of you that i have set the screen backlight time to 30 secs. I dont know what have caused this issue to happen. it didnt used to be like this. I am able to replicate this issue. i find out that to make the screen backlight work normally again i have to unplug the charger and replug it back to my bb and the screen can off after i have exit the bedside mode. in conclusion, i have to unplug and replug the charger to my bb in order to have my screen backlight to turn off after i have exit the bedside. Does anybody ever come across this issue before? I am not sure what version of os that i am running right now but i can assure that i am on the latest os since i just updated the day i bought it from my computer.I also have to tell you that there is no exchange policy in the place i bought my bb.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, my HTC One's screen started to stay on indefinitely when being charged. Normally if i'm charging my phone when i'm on my computer. However, when I am charging it while i sleep, i just plug it in and then go to bed. Once I plug it in, the screen stays on unless I turn it off manually.
I set my Display, gestures and buttons -> sleep to 30 seconds but it has no effect. The phone turns it's screen off just fine if I am not charging.
Is there a way to keep the screen on during charging? I have searched through the settings but so far have not found anything.

It was after charging a few hours the phone rebooted, first stuck in a bootloop, when reset (vol up + on/off button) it started up.

Now while Charging the screen comes up, the phone shows a message for the Smart Connect program, but it's closed intermediately.
Also, the screen stays on while charging, won't go to black. When I push the on/off button to get the screen black, it immediately go on again.
I've noticed this the past two nights, the screen will randomly turn on when charging, I haven't noticed this when it's not charging

I just got my S6 today. When I plugged it in, the screen wouldn't turn off. After fiddling around a bit, I went into Developers Options, and turned off Stay Awake. However, now when charging, approximately every 10 seconds, the screen will come on, stay on for 10 seconds, turn off, and then 10 seconds later turn on again. I'm usually around my phone when I'm charging, and it's very annoying. Is there any way to turn it off?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy S6's screen will illuminate when I place it on the charging pad and it starts charging. It may - or may not - turn off on its own (this behaviour is seemingly random). I click the screen off and it's fine until something pops up on the lock screen or the phone hits 100% charge, then it comes on and stays on.
I need the phone to be dark when it's on the charge pad, 100% of the time. NO exceptions. I work weird shifts and I need to sleep at different times of the day/night (it sucks, believe me), so this isn't even something I can schedule. Just some way to blank the screen when I tell it to be blank and ONLY wake up when I tell it to wake up.
NOTES:
1) DAYDREAM mode is OFF
2) DEVELOPER MODE is OFF and the "leave screen on while charging" was never enabled.
3) I do NOT use hard-wired charging; just a Qi charging pad.
I just got brand new phone from ATT, while charging I noticed the screen stayed on.Am I missing something or is this a Android Bug? Usually Developer option is hidden in a new phone. But on my phone the developer option was on and screen set to stay on while charging So when charged overnight my screen stayed on for several hours. Is this a bug or my phone was not 100% new?? View 10 Replies View RelatedI've recently purchased an Iphone 4s. It's and incredible device that has no barriers, but one issue that is present is bewildering. When the phone is plugged into any power outlet in my residence the screen doesn't respond or spots responding all together, the decline in response slowly becomes more apparent as its plugged in. Now, if the phone is removed from the power source it continues normal functionality like it has no issues.

View 8 Replies View Relatedmy n97 wouldn't charge nor turn on whatever I just see the little led charge light on, I understood this is a software problem with the battery management program which is ridiculous but found myself without a phone so decided to remove battery and take off the plug to an old phone and connect the + and - directly to the battery for 10mins and conected the battery back up turned phone on and connected it onto the main N97 charger and it started normally.
