I've noticed this the past two nights, the screen will randomly turn on when charging, I haven't noticed this when it's not charging

So I am totally new to the smart phone idea and I have a problem. My blackberry will just randomly turn itself off, and I can't turn it back on. The screen just fades to black and then nothing, until a few hours later...what in the heck?

View 8 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, my HTC One's screen started to stay on indefinitely when being charged. Normally if i'm charging my phone when i'm on my computer. However, when I am charging it while i sleep, i just plug it in and then go to bed. Once I plug it in, the screen stays on unless I turn it off manually.
I set my Display, gestures and buttons -> sleep to 30 seconds but it has no effect. The phone turns it's screen off just fine if I am not charging.
Yesterday after connecting a charger to the phone it shut off, and wouldn't come back on again.

It was after charging a few hours the phone rebooted, first stuck in a bootloop, when reset (vol up + on/off button) it started up.

Now while Charging the screen comes up, the phone shows a message for the Smart Connect program, but it's closed intermediately.
Also, the screen stays on while charging, won't go to black. When I push the on/off button to get the screen black, it immediately go on again.
I just got my S6 today. When I plugged it in, the screen wouldn't turn off. After fiddling around a bit, I went into Developers Options, and turned off Stay Awake. However, now when charging, approximately every 10 seconds, the screen will come on, stay on for 10 seconds, turn off, and then 10 seconds later turn on again. I'm usually around my phone when I'm charging, and it's very annoying. Is there any way to turn it off?

View 9 Replies View RelatedOnly two months old. Battery drained almost all the way down today but caught it before it powered off. Plugged in the wall charger and verified it was charging on the screen but later it somehow shutdown all the way on its own. Unplugged battery and tried charging again and it starts off with the red LED being lit for about 30 seconds, the LED goes out and after about another 30 seconds I usually get a solid white screen with the empty battery icon that has a lightning bolt in blue going accross it. What exactly is this screen supposed to indicate to me? Left it charging for 30 plus minutes and still get no response from any of the buttons on the phone nor will it power on with anything I try.
If I unplug the charger get the red LED again, then a small timer icon spinning, then the Blackberry screen where it appears to be starting up but about 1/4 the way the phone shuts off. Sometimes instead of the white battery charging screen mentioned above I only get a small stripe of white background and the rest of the screen is black. I get essentially the same results using a car charger. Weird, confused, any ideas? Battery fried somehow?
My phone got some water on it and was working fine until it just randomly shut off and refuses to turn on now. I got it to start up to a grey/white screen and a battery with a charging symbol in the middle. If I can get back to the screen is there anything I can do for my phone?

I plugged my bb into the wall and for a little bit it was charging fine but then the symbol disappeared. I unplugged and plugged back in which made the clock pop up so I know it connected right. But its still not charging. I turned the charging indicator led on with berrybuzz and the light didn't turn on when I plugged it in.
Meterberry says the temp is 111 degrees. I don't know what the 'normal' ranges are. I'm still under my 30day warranty so do I take it back? Is anyone else having this problem? Its done this before and it eventually charges but something is going on....
I bought my S6 about 3 weeks ago. I was using it normally, but then I left it and when I came back it wouldn't turn on unless I pressed the volume down key too. After that it kept turning off after 15-30 minutes I turned it on, everytime, and then it simply wouldn't turn on whatever i did, even if a pressed all 4 buttons for 10 seconds. Then I simply pressed the power button and it turned on. It behaved normally for that whole day.
I went to sleep with 45% battery and it died. Again it wouldn't turn on unmattering what i did, and after like 5 hours i pressed the volume down and power again and it turned on (after many tries), wtih 27% battery - and it was always off, but after like 2 minutes it died again, and only turned on, after many tries, when I presed vlm dwn, power and home together, giving me the restart screen with 7% charge. (not that dos/cmd-like, with hard reset and all, only a custom os and restart). it worked normally (draining battery fast), and then shut down again, even if i was charging it, though the whatsapp green led is flashing, so i think it's not completely off.
I purchased an X10 mini three days ago and I've had nothing but trouble. It took three hours to finally get it to recognize my SIM chip. Now when I connect to the charger (PC and wall socket), it'll start charging and the light will turn orange but it will spontaneously shut off. As has been pointed out elsewhere, the phone won't charge unless so it's on, so you can see how this is a problem. I haven't been able to get the battery to fully charge (the best I've gotten is to 75%) and it gives it still gives it's status as discharging when it's hooked up. To add insult to injury, once the phone shuts off, I need to repeatedly press the on button (sometimes in conjunction with the home button) to get it to turn on. I'll get a little vibration and then nothing happens. I need to try about a dozen times before it'll finally respond. Do I need to return the phone for being defective or is there something I can do? I've had SE phones for the last six years, but this is enough to make me switch to another brand.

Even if the phone is plugged in fine, the phone charges for few minutes then stops charging again. The charging LED light turns off and when i check the phone, theres no charging signal. But sometime it charges fine without disconnecting.
I thought it was my charger's problem and i tried 2 more new chargers and its still the same. I was running 4.4.4 when this problem occured so i was guessing maybe it was software related issue. I updated to 5.1.1 but the problem still exists. I am using USB cable to charge it. It happens with both the wall charging and PC charging, I even tried factory resetting but no luck. I don't use wireless charging or any charging dock, only USB cable.
Recently spent a long time outdoors in the rain, but phone was never wet. Got home and when I tried to charge it, it wouldn't work. Then when I finally got it to charge (left it overnight) it had only charged to 50% and would stop immediately after reaching 50%. Now the "USB connector connected" notification randomly shows up, even when the phone is not connected to anything. Several seconds later it says it's disconnected. Is the phone damaged, or is it my charger? Just bought another battery on amazon and an external charger in case it's the phone. I read somewhere to hard reset it but I have too much stuff to back-up. If nothing else works, I'll have to do it, but I'm saving that as a last resort.

My iPhone 4s randomly turns off by itself and won't turn on unless I reset it (press home button and power button simultaneously). Is there something wrong with the software? I tried going to my provider (Sprint) but they did not do anything to fix it.

It happened twice and at first I thought may have inadvertently did it myself, but then I checked again when I got home and after 3 minutes and change it reset back to 0 on its own. First of all i was sending a message and the screen randomly went black and red lines came across the screen for a few seconds then it went back to my message .. Then I was charging it Good Friday and took it out to make a call and the screen went white as if I was turning the phone on as nokia came across the screen please help why is it doing this?
