Lightflow making the phone screen turn on randomly when sitting on a table? The colors for the notifications are correct, but becausue of the screen coming on alot randomly this is going to kill the battery life. I even enabled a setting to reduce this in light flow but nothing works. How to have lightflow working correctly?

I'm enjoying using it to turn the screen on with a verified fingerprint, but find myself at times thinking that long pressing it will also turn it off. Seems like a neat feature, but before I think too much of it, is it something that can be done?

Having my phone be alive when i pick it up and screen off when I don't is a real feature - what I was wondering is could we use the Imprint sensor to get around the problem where you're browsing and your screen turns off due to display time out. If it were possible to have the imprint act as a "keep the screen on, I'm using it" button it would be fantastic.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery so often my WiFi won't connect to my home router. Seems to happen after i leave for some time then come back home. I can see the network but cannot connect or turn off the WiFi. The only way for me to fix it short of a reboot is to turn on airplane mode turn off WiFi then turn off airplane nice. Otherwise the phone had been perfect. Stock non rooted.

Switching on to an unlocked state using the fingerprint reader is easy. Switching off requires the power button, which means wrestling the damn thing into a position where I can press the button.
I've looked at a few apps that switch off the screen with a shake or gesture, but these always result in a pattern request to unlock fully when turning back on with the fingerprint reader. Looking at this thread, it seems the Nova Launcher double-tap off function results in the same secondary security challenge when switching back on.
I assume this is because the third-party double-tap/shake/gesture event is only turning the screen off, not actually locking the device as the power button would.
My s6 is making a funny noise randomly. Not sure what's making it happen.

I guess I'm just easily annoyed by the fact that there is no setting to turn this off. You can uncheck the box for "set data limit" but that still doesn't get rid of the warning.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI got my 6p last week and it's been running great until this afternoon. It got warm and the battery level drops by 70's at around 10am to low 30's at 4pm; during that time it was mostly on airplane mode with all sync/bluetooth/gps turned off.
When I checked the battery history it says that the GPS has been on for over 7 hours. I certainly did not turn on the gps myself (I turned off location), and I do NOT have smart lock.
Question: How can I determine which apps/processes turn on the GPS?
I also notice that "Miscellanenous" is responsible for 29% of the battery use.
Question: What the heck is that? How can I turn it off?

Stock, rooted, Xposed. When I tried to turn on tethering, I get the error "Unfortunately, Entitlement Has Stopped. "
I am on AT&T and have tethering included in my plan and have used it on all my previous devices without a problem. I tried looking up the error message but Google returns no exact matches, except from the United States Congressional Record.
Any way could turn off vibration with fingerprint unlock?

I tried plugging it into the charger, holding volume up + power, holding volume down plus power, but nothing worked. I called Google support and they are going to send a new phone, but this doesn't give me a lot of confidence in this phone.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I open my camera app, sometimes the camera takes 1-2 seconds to initially focus and during that time it makes a loud buzzing sound. It sounds like a focus motor or something in the camera and the camera output on screen flutters while it focuses. Once it focuses, everything is normal and it doesn't make any more noise to refocus. This also doesn't happen every time I open the camera app, seems mostly random. I am already on my 2nd S6 since the first was defective for different reasons and I'm starting to get very disappointed with Samsung quality control.

This works great, however, when I use it, it requires me to enter my PIN/fingerprint to show the results.
Is there any way to turn this off? I have to do that every time.
And as far as security reasons, the phone won't respond to anyone else, so it's not like someone would be able to "OK Google" and unlock my phone, unless they sound exactly like me.

After playing with my 6P for over a month, I feel like the battery can handle a brighter setting (with my usage). But, I have concerns about burn-in if I put the setting too high since this is an AMOLED panel. What brightness settings are you using and have you had any issues with burn-in?
