HTC One M8 :: Can't Share Files Via WiFi Direct With GS5
Jun 16, 2014
I'm trying to get my mates GS5 and my M8 to play ball (or transfer a large file) with wifi Direct. Used to work fine when we were both using Samsung phones but not when I'm on the m8.
He's using the built in Samsung wifi direct and I'm using superbeam (as apparently the M8 doesn't transfer files without third party software. We can connect but as soon as he tries to transfer a file it fails.
We did try Bluetooth but the speed is a joke and it failed part way though anyway. How to send files from a GS5 to an M8 via wifi direct?
I can only see a few share files ( pictures ) from the torch using the playbook ( ie viewing it with the playbook ), I cant go into BBM chat with the playbook but i can view the torch BBM contacts. tried re loading s/wares but reamians. I hv sent to the service ctr but problem persisits. I want to response and send BBM via playbook with the chat history visible but I cant.
I have a Motorola Droid 2 and my girlfriend has a Droid X. We are able to share media files between the phones as long as we are on the same WIFI network. We use an application that came with the phones called Media Share. Is there a way that I can do the same with my Xoom?
How to use WiFi direct . I tried a no. Of times in settings and connected it with other devices for transfer purposes but when I go to gallery and select a file to send there is no option of sending files through WiFi direct.
I connected my N5 and N7 via wi fi direct successfully and trying to transfer some pictures from N7 to N5. In Gallery app there is NO "Wi Fi direct" option in the "share" menu for the selected picture. So how could i transfer file(s) between my devices?
Is it not possible to to uae wifi direct with other brands like Samsung S3,5,6 or others? Because im trying to copy some huge file using wifi direct but it was unsuccessful.
Can you use Allshare using only your phone's portable wifi hotspot?I've learned that I can stream videos from my SG2 to my PS3 via Allshare. The only broadband I have is through my mobile data plan with 3 (all you can eat data).Trying to use Allshare, I was told to use a wifi network. I just got rid of my Virgin broadband on the basis of my Mobile providing my broadband (and a damned sight better too).
After a recent update to ES File Explorer it is now possible to open and view video directly from a shared folder in a wifi network. I used to stream video using DLNA and upnplay from my nas, but now I can play the files directly from the share on the nas! Much simpler and it seems better. It's almost like having a few TB of storage on the Xoom.
My phone C3-00 is running on latest update v08.71. I'm unable to upload files on wi-fi. When I start any service like Facebook on opera mini or any browser (I'm also unable to use Mail & Communities via wi-fi) and try to upload file (pic. of max. size 500KB) it shows uploading two times then shows connection failed. I tried it several times but everytime it shows connection failed. But I can easily upload files via GPRS. The Mail & Communities app also runs fine on GPRS but not works on Wi-Fi.
Can I upgrade my iP5s from 7.0.6 direct to 7.1.2? With all the problems i've read on 7.1.1 I and wondering if i can update directly from 7.0.6 to 7.1.2? Â
7.0.6 is really stable and battery life has been good thus far.Â
Looks like Apple confirmed you can get unlocked iPhones at Apple stores. Too bad you still have to go with AT&T for 3G.I wonder if this changes the mandatory data plan?
I'm wonder if you could help me. Recently I can't download apps from appstore to my iphone with my apple ID. But if I use someone's apple ID to download apps to my iphone. It work fine. My apple ID can download from itune only.
shut down a program directly and have the CHOICE of minimizing it to the dock. With the issue of battery running out pretty fast (even if taking meassures) I really don´t see how Apples developers were thinking here. The best (only) option I have found so far is a "hack" making the icons wiggle directly when double tapping the home button, but that clearly has some down sides to it.
After I upload a workout, I usually want to send it to someone so they can see the map, etc. I see the buttons to share on FB or Twitter. Does anyone know if there's a way to get a direct URL link that I can emailCurrently I have to post it to FB, then copy the URL, which is about a million characters long, then email it. I'm assuming there's an easier way to do it and I just haven't figured it out yet
Does Nokia Software Updater do the same job as dirrect flashing? Or what is the difference and what is better to use and when? and.does the Application Manager for downloads in the phone do the same as well?
I'm occasionally "on the road". I have a Nokia 5800 so can connect it directly to the internet via WiFi but how do I download the Nokia map for wherever I find myself? I don''t have Ovi Suite on my employer's laptop
