HTC Legend :: Legend Won't Connect To Wifi
Feb 18, 2011My problem is with Wifi connection to my Siemens Router. The phone detects my network and shows three bar signal strength. I then select the network, type in the password, select connect.....and nothing. It shows the network as remembered, but everytime I try to connect nothing happens and the Wifi 'tick box' always shows disconnected.It did connect to a BTopen Network. Which leads me to believe it is my router. The wireless is obviously on and working if the phone detects it. So, as a newbie to wireless, I assume all you need to connect the phone is the SSID name, and the WPA key (which, I believe is the password).

Dec 22, 2010Upgraded to 2.2 using my home wifi. All seemed Ok and the phone rebooted.
I get as far as the opening screen showing the time and date but none of the four buttons along the bottom of the screen do anything. The only button working is the on/off button.
Tried a factory reset using the volume down and power button. Phone rebooted but I am still stuck with buttons that don't respond and I cannot do anything.
HTC :: Legend Screen Failure
Aug 5, 2010on Sunday August 1 I reached to answer a call on my sweet new Legend, and the screen did not come on. The phone promptly turned off. I was able to restart the phone, it played the welcome chime and the notification LED blinked but no screen. A hard reset was out of the question because of the lack of screen functionality.
I've since sent it in for repair, but wanted to post this because someone I know had the exact same problem and am wondering how many others there are out there that are going through the same issue.

Jul 1, 2015in the old S5 you could enable "glove mode" to improve touchscreen sensitivity, with this option enabled you could use a simple pencil as a stylus.
I know it's enabled by default in the S6 (even without an option in settings) but it's not as the S5 was (no pencil stylus here).

Dec 8, 2011I am having problems with my screen. Will not time out even though I go back to settings and redo or change. The screen dims for a moment randomly and then lights full again but will not time out. Also there are a few random times when it seems to loose all touch sensitivity (I cannot unlock!) or if it is unlocked cannot do anything - screen seems to be frozen. And now the proximity sensor doesn't work - the screen is still active once it is up to my ear and it's dailing random numbers while I am trying to talk.

Great phone for my needs but I find the touch screen a little too sensitive that a slight brush would activate e.g the call dial pad or the options menu in the home screen. This usually happens when I try one handed operations as I try to stretch my thumb across the screen.

Nov 15, 2012when I use the phone while plugged in, scrolling around on the screen sucks. As I swipe on screen, it sometimes won't swipe but will just launch apps that your finger touched last during the swipe. If I swipe slow, it seems to help but sometimes refuses to move and will just launch what ever y finger was touching last when I lift off the screen. It's really annoying and makes the phone useless plugged in because you can't navigate the phone consistently. When I unplug it, it works flawlessly. It's instantly better.

Jan 29, 2014Don't know if this was posted before, but I've found out that the screen sensitivity issue is related to screen brightness settings. If I switch auto brightness off and set it to medium, then the issue disappears. However, if I set it to high I can reproduce the issue immediately.
Touch sensitivity in settings is set to normal.

Jun 27, 2010I just bought a pair of HTC Legends through Bell Mobility. I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and although I have the phone set to automatically detect time based on location, the time is showing an hour behind.Even when I set the time manually, my google calendar integration is showing all appoints an hour behind.(Google calendar is set to Atlantic Time, and changing it to Eastern will simply mess with all of my appointments. )I've been looking into this, and know that I'm not the only one with the issue. When I check the Timezones settings, both Eastern and Atlantic are flagged as GMT-4, which is wrong.I made a post on the HTC forums regarding this, but am not getting a feeling that it's going to go anywhere.
Called Bell, they couldn't help me, but created a ticket to appease me. I'll call back tomorrow for an update.Anyone have any advice on how to fix it? I tried getting into the timezones.db, in the /etc folder, but not having much luck getting it open on my PC.
HTC :: Legend 3G And GPS Not Working
Jul 2, 2010I have an unlocked Bell htc legend using with FIDO, and while wifi does work , no matter what i do to enable data connection for 3g or even enabling GPS no icon ever shows up. Ive done a factory reset twice. APN settings were the same i used on iphone. Just transferred the sim card. Took sim to another phone to make sure it wasnt the sim and 3g works.This appears to be the phone doing this but would like suggestions/insight.

I know you can use the USB cable but on my old nokia all you had to do is have a bluetooth connection from the phone to the computer in order sync up witht the outlook.
