Lumia 1020 :: High Sensitivity Screen Means Ability To Air Type
Dec 20, 2013
I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice that with the high-sensitivity option turned on for the screen, I'm able to jab at the screen without actually touching it and register touches! Its slow, but I've typed this post without touching the screen!
When I try and take my photos off the 1020 with my PC it only shows one of each photo I took I think its the 34mp photos but not sure I thought it would have doubles of each photo a 5mp and a 34mp since I got it set to save both in the pro camera settings ...
Does it saves both to camera roll or does it save the 5mp somewhere else for sharing from the phone cause only one copy of each photo is on the phone camera roll ...
So, I know that you couldn't access the High Res Photo from the Pro Cam apps unless you open it with a computer, now, how do I access those high res photo that I processed in Lightroom ?
Finally took the plunge and bought a 1020. Just starting to learn how to use it and was wondering how I can access the hi res images ? In the settings I selected 5mp & 34mp in "Capture Mode," but when I connect the camera to my pc, all I see are the low res images.
I installed the AT&T Locker app on my new 1020. But AT&T Locker only backed up the 5mp photos automatically. I also enabled OneDrive to backup automatically as well. How to get it to back up the high RES automatically and wirelessly? I have read some article on this site saying it was possible. (dated 2013). Is it still the case?
Tried HD Photo Viewer 8.0 app last night, allows you to view high-res versions of photos on phone. Found little if any difference. App details unclear, seem to suggest that you can do it on a Windows phone, and that you can't on a Nokia.
Today I acquired a Lumia 1020, black, from the at&t store. Have to admit, I was super excited until I got home and saw the images this thing produces. Maybe I got a bad phone, but I doubt it. The images are incredibly noisy, and I expected much better.I'm looking at the images with high-res in the file name. And all of these were on automatic settings (except for one or two where I turned the flash to "assist only".)
Is it this bad everywhere? Maybe a bad phone? The images is horribly oversampled and pixelated even at low zoom levels, or default "just looking at the picture". My Lumia 920 doesn't look like this on normal photos (when you don't zoom in). URL...
Possible to restore high res photos on the 1020 after flashing? Before flashing my 1020 with a country variant, I backed up all my images (pro and high res) to the computer then after flashing, I copied them back to the phone. However, when viewing the images in the gallery or even from ProCam, there's no option to view the image in ProCam so effectively, I have lost the ability to view the high res versions. This is a bit of a shame as I can no longer show off the impressive pinch to zoom as well as other features.
I have read lot of reviews of great 41MP Camera of Lumia1020. I can take both the pictures (seen in the camera settings and tried). Both the pics look exactly same on the phone screen and there is no meaning of so hyped 'zoom, reframe, crop, edit' thing. I can only do this on the 5MP from my phone readily if I want to share the different angled shot or something.
Have tried downloading 34MP highres pictures on PC and they look not very different from the 5MP ones. It's a great botheration for me at least as I can't show my friend's the great 41MP pictures on my phone and then zoom them to see close ups. All I can do is see the 5MP pictures (although great quality, beyond imagination of any other camera phone brand right now). How to successfully exploit the 34Mega Pixels on phone screen right after the shot is taken and should look better than 5MP.
I have a Lumia 1020 and I saw if the master volume is around 25 from a maximum of 30, when I dial a number in dialing pad, there is a cracking sound in bottom speaker.
So I know with 1020, if I simply share photos on to facebook, it will use the less quality 5MP photos, so I have to download the photos manually on my laptop via usb cord with the phone or from onedrive.. But would I have to download the videos from my phone or onedrive first before uploading on to facebook too, for the highest quality *with the smallest size possible? My videos are easily half a GB!
Is there a working way to upload the high quality pictures (41 MP or 34 MP) taken with our Nokia Pro Cam to SkyDrive? Or another way to share them without using a computer?
I tried,so many photography apps..certain apps good, but, the problem is,when we save after we make editing in that apps, they save my photo in low resolution..
Sometimes when the camera starts focusing to make a picture, it makes a really high pitched sound. It continues when the camera has focused until the picture is made. The sound certainly doesn't come from the speakers and isn't triggered by the phone itself but purely by the camera on the back, so it has to be something hardware related.
It isn't that big of a problem, the camera certainly isn't malfunctioning, but I was with a friend today who asked me what that sound was and I'm wondering as well, since it isn't supposed to produce sounds like that.
when I use the phone while plugged in, scrolling around on the screen sucks. As I swipe on screen, it sometimes won't swipe but will just launch apps that your finger touched last during the swipe. If I swipe slow, it seems to help but sometimes refuses to move and will just launch what ever y finger was touching last when I lift off the screen. It's really annoying and makes the phone useless plugged in because you can't navigate the phone consistently. When I unplug it, it works flawlessly. It's instantly better.
Don't know if this was posted before, but I've found out that the screen sensitivity issue is related to screen brightness settings. If I switch auto brightness off and set it to medium, then the issue disappears. However, if I set it to high I can reproduce the issue immediately. Touch sensitivity in settings is set to normal.
my screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.
I wonder if there is an app similar to "No screen off" (Android) that allows to suspend the automatic screen off, then reactivate it with the previously memorized delay.
Click on the widget to toggle between the two modes, to change the screen timeout.
My Lumia 1020 is acting up. The device powers up, and the TOUCH aspect of the screen works, it receives calls etc... but there is not DISPLAY. The screen remains completely off. I've tried multiple power off and ons, as well as holding the power button and down volume at the same time..
My lumia 1020 screen its not turning on i even got the screen changed but didn't work. I tried to reset it but it doesn't show the exclamation mark i conect it to the pc and it regonizes it so the phone itself its not entirely dead....
I yesterday upgraded my phone contract and purchased a Nokia Lumia 1020 from the Galaxy S2 truth is I wanted to try something different. The phone itself is great, However after going through setting im trying to setup the Facebook lock screen I have gone through the options opened the app and selected how I want it to look but when I lock the phone and open it all I get is a blue screen with the Facebook logo Date and time no picture from Facebook, just a blank blue screen .
My phone's screen turns black a number of times now. Navigation keys are working and lights up. I can still hear the alarms and notification sounds. It sometimes takes more than 24 hours to resume to its normal function itself. Soft reset (vol down + power button) is a hit and miss and most of the time I'm getting the screen below.
I tried to connect the phone to a PC but it did not recognized because the phone is locked. I don't know if there's another way to unlock it.
how I can do a full factory reset and be 100% sure it's done without the use of the screen? My 1020 screen is cracked and doesn't come on at all, there's no way to see what the phone is doing. I want to sell it on ebay for parts but need to ensure all of my data is scrubbed. Is there any way, or any tool, that I can use to connect the phone to my PC and do it that way? Maybe some kind of screen emulator?
I've owned the 1020 since the day it was released. Every video I watch posted about it seems to show when taking pictures, all the camera settings on the screen at once. I'm definitely missing something, but I am only able to see one setting on screen at a time and adjust it like that.
I have been experiencing flickering screen on my 1020 when the battery goes into the battery saving mode at 20% or less. I attached a couple of videos showing the huge contrast jumps on the screen.
My phone has been acting up lately with the screen blinking between bright and normal and now it's stuck on bright with washed out colors. Its like a gradient from left to right, if you open the keyboard it's very apparent its like a gradient from white to gray. Looks like the left hand side of the screen is going overdrive and going as bright as it can almost?
Pic included.....
you can see black turns to gray black and green turns to yellow
