For some reason, the screen on my at&t gs6 doesn't seem as responsive as it should be. It often misses swipes I make while playing games or in the ui it also seems to take a bit longer than normal to register taps while typing.
I searched settings and developer options and I see no way to increase screen sensitivity.
Also happens a lot when pulling the drop down menu.
I was able to install app from the Playstore, disregard that it mentions a Samsung phone. This website pretty much advises what settings to use and all. Works in the meanwhile until an official fix is released for all of us G4 owners. Night and day difference. You don't have to use the specific settings in the website, I've found some values myself that have worked well but it's a good starting point.
1.) Enable parameters
2.) Don't forget within the app to 'start service on boot'
3.) Reboot phone and enjoy a better phone experience

in the old S5 you could enable "glove mode" to improve touchscreen sensitivity, with this option enabled you could use a simple pencil as a stylus.
I know it's enabled by default in the S6 (even without an option in settings) but it's not as the S5 was (no pencil stylus here).
Ok so I am having some really annoying issues with screen taps. texting on this thing freaking sucks, I don't know if its just screen lag or the screen is not reading my finger taps. Any fixes to make the screen read better??????

I have searched and there seems to be some general touch issues but I can't tell if this is something that can be fixed by software or not? For example, running MultiTouch Tester, I can touch the screen really fast 10 different places (this is important I think), and the phone will only detect 7/10 presses on avg. I don't recall having so many touch problems before ICS?

When I hold an app to delete it, it does start to wriggle immediately but when I press the delete button it takes more than 15 seconds for the are you sure message to pop up. I don't normally delete apps so I keep forgetting that that bug is there but when I do delete apps its when I urgently need space to take a video or something so when it takes me over ten minutes to just delete a couple of apps and yes it doesn't happen for just one delete it happens for each delete. Ever since I upgraded to 5.1.1 the freeze time decreased a bit to 15-30 seconds it used to be longer but I could really use a permenant fix for this.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that when the Blackberry loading page start up and the little status bar reaches full, it takes a few seconds longer to bring me to the home page. Before, it would fill up, then like 2 seconds later the carrier splash page would come up and then my homescreen. Now, it stays on the black Blackberry loading page for at least 10 seconds before the carrier logo comes up. Is this normal? I don't my phone to die on me or something.

There are times I will hit the power button and I can count off one thousand one, one thousand two, up to one thousand six before the screen will light up and then it lights up for just a second and then it goes dark like it has timed out because of inactivity.It is a real wonderful feature when I am showing off my state of the art, top of the line, Android Flagship Motorola phone to people.It does this regularly if I have not used the phone for more than an hour or so and sometimes it will happen sporadically during periods where I check the phone every few minutes, like when I am expecting important emails.
I did a factory reset and removed all of the factory bloatware apps and updated my phone so that it is current on .83.I did not put any apps onto the phone, I left it alone, just set up my accounts.And the phone still has the problem with the long wake cycles.So I went ahead and put my apps back on my phone.Oh, and I tried with and without the SD card in the phone as well. Checking all possible variables.So does anyone else enjoy such long awakening cycles or am I the lucky one here? I'm finding it really annoying that sometimes when typing part of my palm hits the corner of the phone which brings up the multi task window. Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the keys?
It would of been good if they only work when hitting the centre of them and not the edge of the phone.
