View 1 RepliesIm looking to get a iPhone since my contract with Verizon ends. Its only my line since Im on a family plan so I would have to get my own service and was wondering does anyone have the basic service? I would get the $40 voice plan, $15 data, and $5 texting so thats $60 but after taxes does anyone know how much that is? My dad would also get 25% off the plan for working at the post office so does anyone know if that is before or after the taxes?

But question is, will my tzones work like it does on my HD2 Android?
I was tempted to get another HD2, but for the price difference between the two, i may just op for getting the Desire instead.I did a search on the forum for "Desire HD Tzones" and all links seem to point to the HD2 instead.. Can anyone verfiy it works on their Desire HD?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my nokia 97 mini you could set the connectivity so that when the WiFi connection was active the mobile internet would be inactive.
However, I can not find a similar option on the DHD.
According to my usage analysis from my service provider, Meteor Ireland, I have been using mobile internet even when I have been using WiFi.
I have installed, on my home screen, buttons for turning on/off the wi-fi or Mobile data capability, which is great. My question is this: if both are switched on and I am looking at, say, a You Tube video, is the amount of data being used being counted by my mobile phone supplier, my home broadband supplier or both?
View 3 Replies View RelatedA week ago my T-Mobile G2 received its long-awaited Gingerbread update OTA. The update installed easily and I can happily report that Wi-Fi calling and other features worked quite well.
What I only learned as a problem a few days later is that now my car charger will not charge the phone at all. The T-Mobile branded car charger had worked previously and still works with other Android 2.2 OS phone just fine. But although the phone clearly recognizes the presence of the charger [because it switches to "Car Mode" when plugged in, a nice new feature in itself], it will not charge with the car charger at all. The T-Mobile G2 does charge fine with wall charges, just not in the car.
I have called T-Mobile and they are guessing this is a bug in Gingerbread.
I just got a T-Mobile Blackberry Curve 8900. When i put a T-Mobile SIM card in the phone it says invalid SIM.
View 7 Replies View Relatedmy parents have had DSL and home phone plans with att (~$75/month for both) and their wireless with t-mobile (~$150/month for 3 lines) for years. now that i'm getting the iphone 4 i'm thinking about getting the "triple bundle" (DSL, home phone, wireless).
View 24 Replies View RelatedBasically, my phone asked me to reset up (do not know why?) and I pressed 02 Pay Monthly by mistake, I meant to press 02 Pay as you go. And now, I can not access the internet on my phone unless using wifi, even then can't use a few apps such as faceback app. Anyone know how to change this?

View 24 Replies View RelatedI'm still on 3G on 3.1.2 with BenM.at AT&T profile, so i can tether. My question is would it be possible to upgrade/unlock to iPhone 4.0 and then able to tether without having to pay extra to AT&T by installing old fashion way? (3.0 to 3.1.3).
i don't tether often, but it comes in handy every now and then like when you go on a vacation, etc. i also noticed with 4.0, the T-mobile users are using cydia to get MMS/Tethering work for them. any chance that will work will AT&T too? and YES i know about MyWi, but im trying to avoid the $20 fee =/ and I've also read that you can download the MyWi and deleting trick, but that would require you to download MyWi again every now and then i believe.
I've just purchased my first iPhone - a lightly used 3G. I'm looking at data plans. For $52 plus tax, Telus is offering me:
- 250 anytime minutes
- unlimited calling/text to any 5 numbers nationally
- free weekends/evenings after 5pm
- 500mb data
- voicemail
- call display
- 30 texts per month
I'm wondering a) if this sounds reasonable, and b) how much other iPhone users are paying for their plans.
I'm almost 100% certain that my parents will buy me an iPhone. My parents and I are currently with T-Mobile and will switch for the iPhone 4G/HD/whatever it's called. But I was browsing around AT&T's site and it seems you need to pay $30 for each iPhone's data plan on a family plan. Basically, if I wanted 3 iPhones in one family plan, then I would have to pay $90 a month for the data plan for all 3. Is this true?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIve looked about everywhere, with every phrase i could think of Is there a way to easily track your monthly data usage? i know iv seen some people with it at the top status bar, but i cant seem to find it or what its called.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen you pull down the monthly view in calendar, you see the entire calendar. What you don't see is the dates marked with activity. I thought the calendar at one time was marked with a square or some other indication that there was activity on that date.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy family is all on the same AT&T plan and I want to join them (they don't have smartphones though). If I need the 2GB of data and unlimited messaging, how much extra will that tack onto their bill, if the minutes and everything stay the same? I will be paying my portion of the bill, by the way.
View 10 Replies View RelatedIn another thread various monthly data use amounts were discussed.I have an (grand fathered) unlimited plan, so data use is irrelevant. But I wondered what is the average monthly data consumption. This month is atypical for me at less than 200 megs so far. Usually it is more like a gig or more. What is your monthly data use?
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy Nexus 5 is rooted and in the past OTA updates have always worked just fine. I don't use a custom recovery. However, the November Android security update fails. I was thinking this was because BBS was installed as a system app. After uninstalling that it still doesn't work. The only other thing I use is Adaway, so I reverted back to the original hostfile and also uninstalled BusyBox. Still no dice. Or is it perhaps Marshmallow OTA updates simply won't work if the phone is rooted? How come in the past I've been able to do OTA updates with my phone being rooted?
What can I do to get the update? Does that mean I have to basically lose my user data every month to do an OTA update now and reroot my device
I've recently noticed that text messages are delayed until I either..
1. Make or take a call
2. Restart my phone
3. Send myself a blank message
I'm not sure if this could be related or not but it seems to have started at the same time as my husband being away in China. We text each other a lot and his are particularly difficult to prompt.
I've registered online with HTC sense, and got to the step where it asks me to login with my phone. I've gone to Setup on my phone where it said to go, saying that I should login when the HTC Sense screen comes up. However, no HTC Sense comes up during the setup?
I've also tried going to HTC Sense website through the phone's browser, but it just has the loading screen constantly cycling through? The phone is an HTC Desire, I'm on Orange (UK) and the OS is Android 2.2.

I have HTC Desire. I had some videos and pictures in my mobile. I never deleted them from my mobile, I just transferred them to my PC and with transfer they disappear. I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. To remind you, I just transferred them, not deleted them from mobile.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe HTC desire and HT Sync work well with Contacts, Photos and Calendar. But with documents, the synchronisation appears to be from the PC to the Desire and not the other way round. Thus it appears to copy rather than synchronise.
