I've recently noticed that text messages are delayed until I either..
1. Make or take a call
2. Restart my phone
3. Send myself a blank message
I'm not sure if this could be related or not but it seems to have started at the same time as my husband being away in China. We text each other a lot and his are particularly difficult to prompt.
I'm new to the HTC/Android family. Just moved from the iPhone (good riddance) and I'm in love with my Desire. However, I find that the Desire organizes text messages in a weird way where the recipient and sender messages don't follow one after another rather it puts all the recipient responses on the top half of the screen and the sender at the bottom. Does anyone know how to change this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was texting with someone earlier today, I sent a text at 4:31 pm and they immediately responded but their text message was time stamped at 11:32 am.For some reason all of the texts I receive are time stamped as 5 hours earlier.The people I'm texting with are located in my same timezone, and the timezone is correct in the settings of my phone. It's set to automatic but I switched to manual and checked to see that the correct timezone was selected.

I get numerous texts each day saying 'SMS just got better' from Activate Rich Communications service. I can either cancel or activate by adding in my phone number. I've done both on numerous occasions but I keep the message dozens of times a day and it is very annoying.

I have a symbol I can't identify next to one of my text message conversations. It looks like a tiny cell phone. The symbol appeared when I texted a friend who recently moved to China. He still has his same American Blackberry but no data plan, hence no BMMing, but his messages still appear in my BBM chat list with the same symbol. The conversation shows up under in my text messages like it normally would as well. What does this symbol mean? Does it have anything to do with him leaving the country/deactivating his data plan?

I see the option for locked messages on the drop down menu inside the messaging app, but for the life of me I do not understand how to actually LOCK a message.
