I see the option for locked messages on the drop down menu inside the messaging app, but for the life of me I do not understand how to actually LOCK a message. It's not really a big deal cause I wouldn't use that option much anyway, but it just irks me not knowing. I watched a tutorial on Youtube and the guy on the clip had different options than what my S5 has?

I synched my iPhone to my laptop and updated to 5.1.1. All my text messages from 11-2011 to today deleted. Is there any way to restore the text messages?

My text messages are now automatically deleted even though my memory is not full. The weird is the names of the senders are still on the list but when you open them one by one the messages are gone. The ones automatically deleted are not even old text messages, they are just 30 days old. The names are also in color green. I hate deleting important text messages.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.

My emails are being deleted after they are 7 days old and then when I scroll thru my emails it goes to weird dates with only 1 email there. Also, my texts are being deleted after only a few days...so frustrating!!! I have to be able to go back thru my emails. I went and looked at my memory thinking I was out of memory, but I have 3.0 gb of memory avaliable.

When it came back, the OS was upgraded to 6.0 from 5.0.all is fine except now the text messages are getting deleted after few days...what remains is the name of the sender in green with no message in it.
