I have an HTC Desire and i have downloaded som themes to my mobile. But i have no idea how to change them to my theme on the mobile. I would like to have an cool theme but i cant change it. I cant ven find were all themes are on my mobile.
View 1 RepliesI've had my HTC Desire S for 14 days now and there is one thing in particular which I haven't been able to figure out:when I am writing a text message (sms, is it called that in english speaking countries?) using the T9 dictionary/input method (and the phone keyboard of course) I am presented with a number of words which could match the pressed keys. Fx. "4663" lets me choose between "Home", "Imod", "Hood", "Good" ect. Lets say I either forgot to choose a word and just went along with the default optione "Home" or actually wrongfully choose "Home" when I really wanted "Good".How do I get to choose again? Of course you could place the cursor behind the word, delete a few chars and then get the suggestions again, but it seems down right stupid that you cannot press and hold the word or similar to get the suggestions once more.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe demo for this phone on the support page indicates I can manually choose which network I am using, however, my actual phone does not have that menu item. The problem I have is when the phone locks me into GPRS, it becomes a virtual paper weight. It works great if I can get it to lock onto Edge by walking around enough. I want to be able to manually choose Edge. Why can't I do this?

I can turn it on using my apple id but my mobile number does not appear anywhere for me to choose it as an option. I keep getting "waiting for activation." The same thing is happening with facetime. I don't have the option to choose a mobile number.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded my Nokia N73 to the E72 and am very very disappointed with the picture quality of the camera.
It does not appear to be the same quality as the Carl Zeiss lens of my old N73 and many pictures seem to be out of focus. It has annoying habit of when i try to take a quick snap of continually asking me to chose a shooting mode and the therefore the moment has gone. I also use this camera function for my work and unless I can find advice on taking better quality pics then it will have to go back.Is mine a faulty unit or is there a knack of taking a picture without the camera moving which I think is causing part of the problems.

But question is, will my tzones work like it does on my HD2 Android?
I was tempted to get another HD2, but for the price difference between the two, i may just op for getting the Desire instead.I did a search on the forum for "Desire HD Tzones" and all links seem to point to the HD2 instead.. Can anyone verfiy it works on their Desire HD?
On my nokia 97 mini you could set the connectivity so that when the WiFi connection was active the mobile internet would be inactive.
However, I can not find a similar option on the DHD.
According to my usage analysis from my service provider, Meteor Ireland, I have been using mobile internet even when I have been using WiFi.
I have installed, on my home screen, buttons for turning on/off the wi-fi or Mobile data capability, which is great.My question is this: if both are switched on and I am looking at, say, a You Tube video, is the amount of data being used being counted by my mobile phone supplier, my home broadband supplier or both?
View 3 Replies View RelatedA week ago my T-Mobile G2 received its long-awaited Gingerbread update OTA. The update installed easily and I can happily report that Wi-Fi calling and other features worked quite well.
What I only learned as a problem a few days later is that now my car charger will not charge the phone at all. The T-Mobile branded car charger had worked previously and still works with other Android 2.2 OS phone just fine. But although the phone clearly recognizes the presence of the charger [because it switches to "Car Mode" when plugged in, a nice new feature in itself], it will not charge with the car charger at all. The T-Mobile G2 does charge fine with wall charges, just not in the car.
I have called T-Mobile and they are guessing this is a bug in Gingerbread.
I downloaded the nature live theme on my curve 8520 it does-not appear on the theme page.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have HTC Desire. I had some videos and pictures in my mobile. I never deleted them from my mobile, I just transferred them to my PC and with transfer they disappear. I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. To remind you, I just transferred them, not deleted them from mobile.

Anyone any ideas on how I can improve the download speed on the Desire, or is this the speed which it is supposed to operate at?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen my phone went in for repairs they upgraded my OS to 7.1 and now I cannot force change to 2G network mode.I can only choose 3G or 3G and 2G. There is no option for plain 2G like the old OS had.The reason I need to change to 2G is that the 3G coverage at home is not good at all and 2G is better, even though it's slow, it doesn't drop like 3G.Is my only option to downgrade my OS?

I am still getting used to the phone and there are some minor things are are bugging me.
A big nuisance for me is the backup password with the fingerprint security feature - I don't like having to use a backup password that is a mixture of letters and characters.
If my fingerprint hand is occupied it makes opening the phone difficult.
My s6 keeps periodically prompting me to choose a default launcher. Phone worked fine yesterday and now today all of a sudden it can't remember what launcher I set as a preference. Periodically when I press the home button I am asked to choose between the normal touchwhiz launcher and the touchwhiz easy launcher. It is pretty annoying. I have no 3rd party launchersupplies installed I just don't understand.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently manually updated my phone's rom and it wiped off system data in the process.
Now during the first setup screens that you get the first time you start up the phone, I accidentally skipped the dropbox logon bit which would have triggered HTC backup to restore my previous phone settings from dropbox.
After realizing that, I setup my dropbox account but instead of using my existing backup it created a new backup folder.
So now I'm trying to figure out how I can get my phone to restore from my old backup folder on dropbox instead of the new one.
I've tried various ways and if I tamper with the new backup folder HTC refuses to backup from it saying the folder has been modified.
I recently upgraded my 9700 to 5.0.0.545. Ever since then, my ring tones have been kinda' messed up. First off, when I upgraded it changed all my ring tones which is fine because I remember them all. But now when I go to change them, it only let's me choose music as ring tones. All the standard ones that came with the phone are missing, and those are what I was using. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or know how to fix it? I don't like the ring tones it's using and would really like to change them back to what they were.

When I go into Wi-Fi Networks under Settings, the Choose a Network doesn't show any networks - just a spinning circle every few seconds, but nothing comes up. My network used to show up here with a check next to it. The bars at the top of the phone show I am connected to Wi-Fi (I am on my network ok), but in Settings it shows Wi-Fi is Not Connected. I have Reset my phone, but it didn't fix it. I am reluctant to Reset Network setting because I won't be able to choose a network if none are showing up.
