I downloaded HTC Sync a few months ago, and I kept getting the error message on my phone that it could not find it on my computer. I tried various things at the time, suggested by other users, none of which seemed to have worked. I forgot about it until now and I need to be able to use it to install Android 2.3.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got the Desire Z the other day (after switching from the HTC Dream) and for some reason the Google Calendar and Android Calendar won't sync.My contacts and gmail sync with no problem, but the calendar just shows the spinning (circular arrows) wheel for a few minutes which then stops spinning and stays static.If I open the calendar app it is completely blank and if I go into the settings to try to select a calendar the program freezes up and gives me a pop-up window reading Calendars - Update now... (with another spinning wheel).I have tried soft & hard resets along with clearing the cache and data from the calendar and calendar storage, but I keep having the same problem.

- About 1150 contact entries in Outlook
- About 2000 calendar entries in Outlook
- Software: DTM 5.0.1
- Mailer: Outlook 2003 connected to Exchange 2003
Blackberry Device:
- Connected to Desktop via USB
- No e-Mail function needed!
When i try to sync everything looks fine with all entries. But if i sync again directly after a sync is finished, there are about 200 calendar entries to sync. If i resync these entries, the next time they should be synced again. Seems like al loop! Everytime i try to sync these 200 entries they found by DTM again to sync. I've erased the Device Cache and the Intellisync folder on the Desktop - but the problem still appears!
I carried out the gingerbread FOTA update yesturday, and now I cannot sync with my exchange server. It worked fine before the upgrade. I even deleted the account and tried to re-configure with the same server and domain details, but all i get is a message saying it failed to connect to the server

It has worked fine for ages, but today I noticed that new emails were no longer arriving on my phone. I removed the account from my phone, hoping to recreate it but I cannot recreate the account. I put the details in, as above, then when I get to the name account screen and hit Finish, I get 'Failed to create the account. Please try again later.'This is what used to happen before the update - there was some incompatibility between the HTC mail app and Hotmail over ActiveSync, but it has been working fine on my phone for ages, until today.
I was given an HTC Desire by the company. I plugged it into the PC and hey presto the phone was full of CR4P!I now have a list of contacts about 500 long, 400 of whom I have no idea who they are!People who have sent me emails offers or bought things off.Anyone know of a way I can go through this list (on the PC?) and say Yes I want, No I don't want. OR create a list only of people I want on the sync list.I thought smartphones were to make life easier. I have to trawl through God knows how many useless unknown contacts before I can find mates.I know I can have faves, but I don't want to carry 400 dead names, it ruins the line of my clothes carrying all that extra weight.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have only just got my first HTC phone. I think its quite good so far, however I am have trouble trying to sync with my PC. I have downloaded and installed the latest sync software from the HTC website, then plugged in the phone and selected the HTC sync option. The PC recognises that the phone is plugged in and starts the software start up screen and displays the message 'updating htc library' in the bottom right hand corner. This is as far as I can get and the software eventually times out and closes!!! I have tried on another PC and the same error occurrs!

When they enabled 720p recording video became choppy but the sound was kinda alright now after the current update all my videos are coming out like one of those kung fu movies, voice and lips are not in sync and the sound is crap.

I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. To remind you, I just transferred them, not deleted them from mobile.

Anyone any ideas on how I can improve the download speed on the Desire, or is this the speed which it is supposed to operate at?

So I've spent most of today trying to set up two email POP accounts. just how you want to spend your time hey? Both have exactly the same server settings. I have one working well after hours of frustration. It seemed that I could only get this first account to sync when I set the email account up through the SYNC EMAIL menu (now I can't find this anywhere). (this is after using the email wizard, getting connection but no new messages). This second account was created with the email wizard as I can't find the SYNC EMAIL command. Both accounts seem to connect. But only one collects the gazillion test emails I keep sending.
