Feb 12, 2011,I'm trying to set the device up so that e-mails from my home get forwarded to the Desire, I've tried all I know but have got nowhere, my ISP is Plusnet and I'm using Outlook 2007.

May 14, 2011I bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

Jun 12, 2011I just bought a HTC Desire. I found that when I download my emails using the Gmail facility on the device, I no longer able to open/download the emails on my notebook. This happen vice versa - when I open the emails on my notebook, it would not show on my HTC. How can I reverse this? I want to be able to open my emails using the smartphone but, also open and save them on my notebook.

Mar 20, 2010I recently re-activated my old Storm for my wife (her first smartphone). After reactivation, I tried to set up email so she could check her Hotmail, but the setup wizard only shows one option - enterprise email through Exchange. I know when I use to use the Storm myself, I had both Hotmail and a POP email account set up with no problems. Is this a device issue or a carrier issue? I had Bell activate the Storm on a minimal (200MB) BlackBerry data plan and the phone seems to work fine (as a phone, at least!)

May 7, 2011After changing network I had to re register my new sim for the blackberry service for my email. When i entered the email set up program it prompted me to update from 6.10.1119.1125 to 6.11.0324.1701. After this i rebooted the device and tried to setup my email. When I enter the email setup program it "hangs" on "checking for updates" or sometimes "checking settings" . It will not go past this screen and I am unable to set up my email. I have contacted Three Uk customer service and they have no resolve. Can you help as I cannot use the email service on my blackberry. I have also tried to setup on the website but it says I must setup on my device for the 9800 phone.

Nokia :: E52 Email Setup Not Allowing To Add Second Email Since Firmware Upgrade (031.012)
Feb 13, 2010Yesterday i successfully upgraded my E52 to latest firmware - 031.012. After upgrade i removed all previous email accounts (1 MFE, 1 pop and 1 imap) and start a new setup.i have to mention, that i double checked that the email client version has updated to 2.1.0 (the old one was 2.0.5). There are also several visual changes during the email setup.
Now here is my issue: I recreated my exchange email account and it works perfectly, but when i try to add a second email account (Email->New), choose one of the providers from the list (Windows Live for example) and proceed here is what happens:
1. I get a promt to enter email address and password
2.Then "Validating settings" and "Downloading terms" progress bars start
3. After "Downloading terms" progress bar completes i am returned at the page where have to choose email provider again
Is there someone with similar issue as mine when has upgraded to 031.012?

Nov 21, 2011I have just changed from a BlackBerry to the htc Desire S & am having all sorts of problems trying to persuade it to deal with my pop3 emails. I've religiously followed the instructions & the Incoming settings are accepted but when I put in the Outgoing details it always comes up with "Your outgoing server does not support authentication. Please verify your outgoing server settings". I am not a computer/phone expert but managed to set up my BlackBerry without any problem. In this case, after several failures I copied the settings as in my Outlook Internet email settings. No luck.I contacted the technical dept of Zen (the ISP) they were very knowledgeable & helpful but, after 90 minutes effort finally gave up.
All instructions on the htc site just repeat the user manual instructions which, in this case, does not work. I've emailed htc but have received no reply. I contacted the service provider - Vodafone. They advised that it is difficult to operate pop3 emails with the standard mobile phone Server port at 25 & suggested that I if I wish to use my business email address (rather that getting a new gmail one) then I would be best advised to return the phone & get a new BlackBerry. I find it hard to believe that it is not possible to receive & send normal emails on a modern smartphone & am hoping that someone may be able to guide my through an installation/troubleshooting process that will work.

Feb 21, 2011Whenever I view one of my email accounts I get an Alert pop-up saying: "There is not enough free space. Please delete some messages and try again." However, I have 6.68GB free on the SD card and 33.21Mb free on the phone. Nevertheless I've deleted many messages, especially those with attachments, turn the phone off and on again, but I still get the alert. It doesn't seem to affect my ability to download new messages, but it's annoying. It only happens on one (POP3) account. Do I have to delete and recreate the account?

Jul 17, 2010I received my E7 with the latest firmware update 031.023. I tried to set up email many times. A message shows up "No email mailboxes defined. Create a mailbox?"
I click yes and then I either go to Hotmail or Gmail to setup the account. After I enter the username and password, a message shows up "detect email settings" and the screen goes right back to the [Email] screen. I do not see a separate application to check my gmail or hotmail emails and then it goes back to the beginning with a message asking me to create a mailbox.

Jul 25, 2010I was very happy to know that 10 email accounts can be setup on my phone. But unfortunately i am not able to setup at least 1. After i enter my username and password as requested it gives a message that it is contacting the server and then goes off with a message that the server could not be reached. Feb 3, 2012everything was fine until this morning. after syncing my bb bold 9780, they prompted me to update my blackberry system software. after i have done so, the phone did a long "reboot" and i realised after that all my email accounts are gone. and i have to set them up again.
however after i go to SETUP, i click on EMAIL ACCOUNTS and then INTERNET MAIL ACCOUNT, it goes back to the SETUP page, every single time. And when i select Exit Setup, the phone freezes. When it freezes, i will take out the battery and try again but the same thing happened every single time!
was it something to do with the software? and more importantly, can anyone tell me what i can do to set up my email accounts?
