HTC Desire HD :: Flip For Speaker Function - How To Activate
Dec 10, 2010
I just gotten my DHD not too long. Realized there is a "Flip for speaker" function. Though it's checked (selected), I can't seems to activate it despite trying many different ways of flipping it.
I'm posting this for a friend who has an "almost year old Pearl Flip" with Rogers Canada, running Rogers' latest officical software, whatever that is.She was able to use her Motorola BT headset up until about a month ago, then updated the OS on the phone, and now BT will NOT enable. No matter what workarounds, it simply will not activate. Believe me, I've tried every method known to "force" the BT to activate. Is this a known problem with this phone? i've googled and found some hints that there might be a hardware issue, but nothing really concrete that she can take to Rogers to show that this might be a known issue.
My phone's speakers don't put any sound when I call somebody, however they can hear me fine. Also, when somebody calls me and I put my phone on speaker, I can hear them and they can hear me just fine.
For some reason, everytime I answer my Desire S, it has started to come on with the speaker. I have to press the speaker off button to take calls privately. Is there a method to allow me the option to take a call and then turn the speaker on when I need to.
I can only answer a call by using the external speaker function, if you answer it normally you can't hear anything until you press the external speaker button, its the same when you make a call
I received my Flip 8230 today and have not yet had the chance to activate it and probably won't until tomorrow or Friday. I've been playing with it though to get a good feel for it, and I've noticed that there's no browser installed nor is there any MMS folder or option when sending a picture. I did a search on both issues and found one thread in which it was suggested to resend the service books to remedy the browser problem, so I'll do that as soon as it's hooked up.
What worries me more though is the lack of an MMS folder or MMS option when trying to send a picture. (I can't actually send one of course since my phone isn't activated yet, but the option should still be there.) I did a search on that as well and did find a couple threads about it, but neither really contain an answer to the problem. How do I fix it? I'll be pretty sad if I can't do MMS with this phone.
How do you activate speaker phone? I read on yahoo answers that it's just the P key but when I press that it asks me if I want to add . to speed dial. Please help
Is they way that when im in a call that i can press the left phone button to activate or de-activate the speaker phone? As i need a more convinient way of activating and de activating the speaker phone rather than pressing menu then scrolling down to the actiate option.
I have HTC Desire. I had some videos and pictures in my mobile. I never deleted them from my mobile, I just transferred them to my PC and with transfer they disappear. I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. To remind you, I just transferred them, not deleted them from mobile.
The HTC desire and HT Sync work well with Contacts, Photos and Calendar. But with documents, the synchronisation appears to be from the PC to the Desire and not the other way round. Thus it appears to copy rather than synchronise.
On my PC and Galaxy Tab 10.1, when connected to my home router, I get about 1.5 mbps for my download speed. On the HTC I get less than 500 kbps. Anyone any ideas on how I can improve the download speed on the Desire, or is this the speed which it is supposed to operate at?
I have had a white Z5 Compact for a week and have now noticed that the bottom speaker is much louder than the top, ruining the stereo effect. I am sure it did not come this way out of the box. I didn't notice until after the recent firmware update (32.0.A.6.152), but cannot know whether this is the cause of the problem. I went through the hassle of factory reset and the phone still has the problem. I haven't subjected the phone to any physical trauma at all and will be returning it.
My one month old xperia has a problem, sound volume of bottom speaker is much lower then speaker on the top. Actually i don't remember if it was like that always or happened during my usage. It's so quiet that I need to apply it close to the ear to hear it as much as top speaker.
So earlier, my Flip was charging on top of my computer [my comp tower is on the floor, so it wasn't a LONG drop] and the battery popped out [backing of the phone is missing -.- im getting a replacement in shortly though]. So when i put the battery back in, and some error came up on the phone...I didn't exactly get to read it, because it started up shortly after.
Now, what happened was that my memory card took a crap and I couldn't access ANYTHING in my memory card NOR any of my MMS! My SMS are all there though. So I did a battery pull...ran a checkdisk for the SD and my pictures/music are alll back. My MMS, which is more important, aren't though.
Is there something i'm missing here? Is there any way to recover it?? My biggest headache is that I thought I did a backup of my phone two nights ago when I did an OS update. However, what had happen was that during the OS update, it backed up my phone...so me being dumb, I thought it saved the backup in my computer [unless perhaps it did?!].
This camera is driving me insane....every photo I take on the front camera appears flipped and I have searched for ages and can not find any option for them to be saved as flipped or whatever, arghhgg this is madness for a phone this advanced!
its hard to believe, after many trys with Verizon and Apple. Still my i phone 4s don't work like it suppost be. I did reset twice and now doesn't flip. So from now ahead only I have to wait, and lets see what in the future.its not enogh for my and this tool is the worst ever phone I had in my hand. I will switch to other new phone.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1, slow, don't flip and to many worrys.
My Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 first started showing a white screen with the loading icon for a couple of days. Then it progressed to saying "JVM Error 517". Then i tried some ways to get it to work (take the battery out, attempt to use loader to wipe the device, etc) and now it tells me "Reload Software 507". How can I get my Blackberry to start working normally again?
I am trying to update my App World and my BBM to BBM 6 but they never get updated even after rebooting my phone several times. I tried installing them through all the possible ways. Through my phone, through the mail that the website sends and USB but nothing seems to be working. My device is listed in the supporting devices.
