This camera is driving me insane....every photo I take on the front camera appears flipped and I have searched for ages and can not find any option for them to be saved as flipped or whatever, arghhgg this is madness for a phone this advanced!
View 3 RepliesNewly i got this phone and still exploring it. Tried out the camera and took pictures and the pictures show like x-ray colour. I tried to change through the options but the picture taken still appear the same.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI received my Flip 8230 today and have not yet had the chance to activate it and probably won't until tomorrow or Friday. I've been playing with it though to get a good feel for it, and I've noticed that there's no browser installed nor is there any MMS folder or option when sending a picture. I did a search on both issues and found one thread in which it was suggested to resend the service books to remedy the browser problem, so I'll do that as soon as it's hooked up.
What worries me more though is the lack of an MMS folder or MMS option when trying to send a picture. (I can't actually send one of course since my phone isn't activated yet, but the option should still be there.) I did a search on that as well and did find a couple threads about it, but neither really contain an answer to the problem. How do I fix it? I'll be pretty sad if I can't do MMS with this phone.
Why does my front camera flip my picture when it is saved? I need a solution to this problem asap.

When I try to chat on Yahoo Messenger Video, I come up on the other persons Yahoo Messenger as being upside down. I can't find any settings on my phone that allows me to flip the camera.

I know there are alternative camera apps that have the option enabled however I prefer the stock camera app due to its quality and functionality with the 6P...Just wondering if there were any mods, apps, editing tricks or work arounds to prevent android from reversing photos taken with the front facing camera.. Its pretty inconvenient to manually edit and flip them myself.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe flip cover I'm using is the Wireless Charging Cover WCR14.I downloaded auto screen off with flip cover, but it doesn't seems to work properly.It does turn off if I cover my finger on the sensor, and if I somewhat close my cover at an angle. But, when I close the cover fully, it turns back on.The apps I tried was Gravity Screen, Auto Screen On Off and Smart Cover Lite.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.
My camera flash keeps going off randomly on it's own and when I try to run camera, it says: "Cannot connect to camera."
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone frequently returns a message "Error! Camera not Available!" when opening any application which uses a camera. This happens specially when the applicatons that scan barcodes are used ("AT&T Code Scanner", "OK Scan"), but not exclusively. Among the apps bringing the camera to a crash there are some of good reputation, like for example "Perfectly Clear". In the emergency mode the camera works OK.
The issue is the same as in this thread for Z1, however it disappoints me that the same happens in Z3 which is so much newer.
The support advised me to clear the data for the camera (Applications menu) and restart the phone. No dice, so they advised to reset the phone to factory defaults. I did it twice, due to after the first time I found exactly which apps caused the problem. It took me a day to restore everything to the original state .
Afterwards, the camera was stuck by "Perfectly Clear", a decent app written by a "Best programmer". I was depressed.
However, there is a solution: simply clearing all the apps running in the background (["three permanent keys in the bottom" | "two rectangles" | clear all], or [an icon with a green brush]). This works without a restart.
I'm posting this for a friend who has an "almost year old Pearl Flip" with Rogers Canada, running Rogers' latest officical software, whatever that is.She was able to use her Motorola BT headset up until about a month ago, then updated the OS on the phone, and now BT will NOT enable. No matter what workarounds, it simply will not activate. Believe me, I've tried every method known to "force" the BT to activate.Is this a known problem with this phone? i've googled and found some hints that there might be a hardware issue, but nothing really concrete that she can take to Rogers to show that this might be a known issue.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo earlier, my Flip was charging on top of my computer [my comp tower is on the floor, so it wasn't a LONG drop] and the battery popped out [backing of the phone is missing -.- im getting a replacement in shortly though]. So when i put the battery back in, and some error came up on the phone...I didn't exactly get to read it, because it started up shortly after.
Now, what happened was that my memory card took a crap and I couldn't access ANYTHING in my memory card NOR any of my MMS! My SMS are all there though. So I did a battery pull...ran a checkdisk for the SD and my pictures/music are alll back. My MMS, which is more important, aren't though.
Is there something i'm missing here? Is there any way to recover it?? My biggest headache is that I thought I did a backup of my phone two nights ago when I did an OS update. However, what had happen was that during the OS update, it backed up my phone...so me being dumb, I thought it saved the backup in my computer [unless perhaps it did?!].
the trackball on my pearl flip will NOT go down. Can this be cleaned or does it have to be replaced?It goes up and side to side, but not down.

So from now ahead only I have to wait, and lets see what in the future.its not enogh for my and this tool is the worst ever phone I had in my hand. I will switch to other new phone.

Then i tried some ways to get it to work (take the battery out, attempt to use loader to wipe the device, etc) and now it tells me "Reload Software 507". When calling or answering the phone, I hear nothing and the person on the other line hears static. Also the phone has no sound when trying to play music, but the alarm still works. Internet and texting also works. If I go Options...Advanced Options ... Host routing Table... Register now... then pull the battery it will work for awhile (an hour or two).

While I think it is a nice feature to have, I do hope we'll also get an actual Silent mode that doesn't require visiting Settings. I want to see when I'm getting a call or text, even when my phone is on silent. Keeping my phone upside down on the table to silence it is like leaving it at home to silence it.

I know for sure it was saved in my 'saved messages' folder, for the purpose of forwarding it later.I am able to delete the message from the 'saved' folder, however I cannot delete it from my Inbox. I've tried doing a battery pull, but it didn't help. I've tried deleting the message, then pulling the battery...and pulling then deleting. Nothing works.The message was sent and saved on February 19, 2010 at 5:32 PM. As for deleting..I've tried to delete prior, delete it individually, mark it read and then delete it, everything I can think of.Anyone know what I can do? It's been annoying me for months, and no suggestions on other threads have helped.

I don't want to delete the OS and have to reinstall and all that, I just simply want to remove my own personal information that I've put into it.From everything I've read, I simply go to Options > Security Settings > General Settings > Wipe Handheld. On my 8330 I can find this perfectly but on my 8230 it's nowhere to be found? That option is just not there and I can't find it anywhere else either. I know the phone had been restored to factory settings when I received it so there's gotta be a way to do this. Any ideas anyone? Running v4.6.1.234 ETA: Okay, I just went back into General Settings and scrolled down to a few random things listed under Services.I see that when I click those, I'm given the "Wipe Handheld" option. View 8 Replies View RelatedFor the last two weeks or so I have been getting an alert tone every 6 hours. The tone is Notifier Nymph which I do not have assigned to anything. I get no text or icon notices, just the tone at 9:39 and 3:39. Strange.....I have tried several battery pulls, Downgraded BBM (to 4.6) and then uninstalled BB Messenger, then reinstalled BBM 5. Still the same thing. There are no tasks running no recurring appointments or anything.
