View 6 RepliesI recently got a TP2 and last week, it started to crash when I want it to connect to the wi-fi network at my university. Actually, it crashes (i.e. restarts) when I load the authentification page, which comes up by default when you want to access a webpage. So to make it clear, when the wi-fi on my cell is on, it will detect and connect automatically to the wireless network, but I won't have access to the internet until I open the navigator and register myself.
Have you ever had this problem? Do you know of a certain wireless authentification protocol that could do that? For now, my only solution is to turn off wi-fi, which it a pain since I don't have this problem at home with my domestic wi-fi network.
Installed new Ovi suite and when I start it the splash screen starts and then I receive a Windows error message saying that Ovi encountered a problem etc and then closes the application.

I've deleted everything and restarted several times, but STILL ovi crashes on opening. In fact, I still haven't seen the software in action! Needless to say map loader doesn't work either ...
I thought PC suite was bad, but at least it connected. Anyone had any luck in solving this one? I'm connecting a 6700 to a windows PC, all standard stuff.
N97 Mini is crashing on following scenarios
1. Take the contact list, Search someone & make a Voice call with any one of his / her numbers, hang the line, quit the contact list. after some time the phone goes to sleep / restarts.
2. Take the call by swiping while the phone is locked. After the call is serviced the phone hangs indefinetly
I've got a 3GS JB and just now the facebook app started crashing every time I try to start it. Have tried rebooting the phone and deleting/reinstalling the app to no avail. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix the issue without a full restore? Is there some temp files or anything else I could look at removing via ssh to fix the issue?
View 4 Replies View RelatedBasically, the phone went completely dead, despite being fully charged. At first there was no response from the phone whatsoever and this went on for about 4 hours. I was out of the house and had no charger so assumed that maybe the battery had run out.However, after about 4 hours the Blackberry began behaving very weirdly. Every so often, the red LED light comes on for about 10 seconds and then it tries to switch on (without me pressing a button). The reboot bar comes up, but when this is only about 5-10% full the Blackberry crashes and does exactly the same thing again, crashing at the same point. Sometimes it can do this continuously and sometimes it will go completely unresponsive again.
Removing the battery makes no difference, because when I put it back in it simply behaves in the same way.I tried launching a software update through BB Desktop to remedy this, but half-way through the programme said that it could not connect to the Blackberry, even though it had previously been connected.
I've took the battery out after waiting half an hour after it crashed and I've done this several times now! I've also waited as the battery as warm so I waited for it to cool but it did the exact same thing! I need my phone in a matter of hours for an alarm and incase of emergencies to do with my family!

I tried rebooting the iPhone twice....that doesn't help. Each time I try to launch Music I get a white screen, then I eventually get dumped back to the home screen while Music runs in the background. I disconnected my earbuds, didn't have any other apps running, etc. This is mostly a FYI rant for Apple to know that there are crashes associated with Music. I'll try restoring the iPhone tonight.

I just got my new iPhone 6 and can't open safari. Every time it tries to open from either the app icon or within another app it crashes. It is a blank website in safari and then closes itself 5-10 sec later. I have cleared safari data history and downloaded chrome, but all of the apps default into chrome for links.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the e72 for two months now and I Use it for my business. The thing is that the phone keeps crashing in mid conversation in a rate of once or twice a week. When it crash and restarts itself it takes around a minute until I can make a phone call.
This is unacceptable from a business device. Sometimes it crash just as I press the answer key on an incoming call and on other occasions it crashes in mid conversation.
I have the newest firmware version 22.007 installed and I even installed handy manager just to make sure that the phone doesn't run out of memory (is doesn't. I usually have above 25mb ram left).
On the background I have TR Lite (original, bought from Ovi store) running and recording all conversation and sometimes I have Fring for Skype and msn. Both of these apps are not set to be System Application, so even if the phone should sun out of memory it will close them and not crash...

Another problem that I have is when creating new email. In the past when ever I would write a new email I would get list of suggested email addresses in the "To" field. For example, if I would was to write the letter S I would get the suggested email address of the people in my address book whose name starts with an S (Sam, Sofia, Sandra, etc). For some reason this feature stopped working on my phone and I can't find how to make it work again. If I want to send an email I need to manually write the email address in the "To" field every time.
Earlier I was using a licensed version of Nokia Mpas but never faced this problem. Since the free navigation has become available for E71, I've started facing this problem. I did a hard reset, deleted "Cities" folder and just installed Maps, but error persists.
When I go to OVI Mpas tio download it, the file that I get is "Nokia maps." I know that Nokia and Ovi Maps are one and the same thing, but soem posts on this forum sugegst that they might be different.
After upgrading to 3.03, the Map app closes after 10 seconds. It might work but. Tried installing again via PC download, no change.

A few days ago I updated 2.2.0.2.4.1 to 245. Now the software always crashes when syncing (Bluetooth & USB) with Outlook 2010 x64. My OS is Win 7 - X64. It's really frustrating beeing not able to sync anymore. Does anybody Know an alternative software for this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been using Ovi Maps 3.03 since it came out on my E55 and I generally prefer it over my TomTom. There are however a couple of problems with it - one major, the other minor.The big problem is that it occasionally crashes; the application exits and I'm left with the menu screen. This is more than a nuisance when driving, as it takes a lot of button pressing to get back to the route. The problem seems to have started (hard to tell, as it only happens occasionally) when I used Map Loader for the first time and followed the instructions to reinstall the application, apparently with the same version. I have since uninstalled that copy and returned to the version I originally downloaded, but it hasn't made a difference.Is this a common problem? I don't suppose voice commands work with Maps, do they?The other problem is that the screensaver kicks in after 30-90 seconds - the screen goes dark - except when a route is set. Is there any way to disable this?
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend has Asha 302 with firmware version 14.53 (no new updates available in Nokia Suite.) and she cannot access her email as the application crashes with the following error message. Sometimes she manages to see her email accounts but usually the crash happens as the selection screen for WLAN etc. shows. Resetting the settings didn't help and I've been very hesitant to wipe the phone completely as I don't trust that she can restore her messages etc. from Nokia Suite.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIve been playing in google for the last hour and cant find anythign that helps. this morning my 9700 crashed as it does regularly and it wont load again. it gets to the status bar, makes its way about 1/4 of the way down and then crashed and tries to reboot. started at 9 am this morning, ive tried hard and soft resets, the battery was out of it for over an hour, desktop manager cant do anything with it becase it keeps crashing while its connecting. a new phone is in the mail but i need this phone for work and i need to boot this thing in the next little while. again ive tried ctrl alt dlt methoed a few times, numerous battery pulls, battery sat out of the phone for over an hour, tried booting it with the battery out, tried conecting to it with the battery in and out to desktop manager and nothing has worked.

There is an issue where the phone will crash if I connect it to certain PCs via USB.When I say it crashes the screen goes blank, and the red light stays on. To recover from this point I have to unplug it and re-insert the battery. Though for example if I connect it while the PC has not booted into Windows then it will not crash.When I connect the phone via a charger cable it is also fine, and it never crashes on my own home PC.
