Jul 1, 2010Just bought N900 lately. I saw that there's already a new software PR 1.2. I'm trying to install it using my device & I already backed-up my phone. However when I continued to install the software, it flashed a warning that the "target memory is low" what will I do next?

Sep 22, 2012The latest Software Upgrade New from Moto, no longer has a Q4 date for ICS on the Photon. It now says "Further plans coming soon".I have no idea what this means.The optimist in me says that this means we are skipping ICS and going straight to JB.The pessimist in me says that Moto would rather just offer us $100 and not worry about supporting the Photon 4G anymore. I do hope we get some more definitive news so my two halves don't have to keep arguing.

May 28, 2012When I set a target of type "distance & time" (e.g 5 km in 25 minutes), I can not see my progress against my virtual opponent, that is, I can not see how far or how fast I am doing against that target. Just appears my data, and none from the opponent. I already have the opponent screen enabled. When I compete against a previously saved workout, it works fine.
can I see my progress against the opponent when I set a "distance & time" target, or it only works when I compete against previously saved workouts?

Nov 20, 2015I regularly buy and download music from the Amazon Music App. For the past few weeks after I purchase a song and download it to my device it is no where to be found. I dug around in my phone files and found my Taylor Swift songs in a folder. Here is the path: SD card> android> data> com.amazon.mp3> files> music> private> taylor swift>speak now
But they are .m4a files and cant be played on my music app. I don't want to have to download a new music player app, i just want everything back how it used to be.

May 17, 2015As the title says it; I'm having problems downloading any theme from the app store. Any theme I choose and hit "Download" on it just brings up a window for 1/2 a second that I believe says "Downloading" but never actually does anything. Another weird thing, the other 2 themes that are kind of defaulted for options that you can download both work. I'm not sure if this is a silly question, however I can't seem to figure it out as no one else seems to have this issue.
Random pieces of information:
1. Yes, my phone is rooted, however this issue was still around before I did so.
2. I have the AT&T variant Galaxy S6.
3. I've checked to see if there's any apparent apps I disabled that may cause it but the only app that seems like it may be related is "Theme Store", and that of course isn't disabled.
Galaxy S6 :: When Downloading Image Getting Asked Which App To Use
Oct 27, 2015When downloading an image either through my browser (Chrome) or an app, I click the notification which says "image has been downloaded". Every single time I do this, I get asked which app to use (I also have Google Photos installed and a File Manager). Despite selecting "Always" use this app, I always get asked.
Plus, when I select the stock Gallery app, the image comes up but I cannot share it from there, but at top right is a drop-down menu where I can set it as my Wallpaper. I have to go back to my Home screen, click Gallery, back out of the image to the main Gallery page, locate the image in the relevant folder (i.e. Downloads), open it, and then I get the full array of options at the bottom (Favorite, Share, Edit, Delete).

Feb 3, 2015I recently moved to android phones and I don't know the OS yet.I have an issue with my new S5. When I am connected to wifi at work, it's constantly downloading something (30kb/s~70kb/s - from Internet Speed Meter), with everything turned off - sync, auto update, back up...
The interesting thing is that only happens when I am connected to wifi at work. Transfer rate is down to zero when I am on LTE and at home, wifi transfer is within normal range. I mostly have download and very little upload recorded by the speed meter. I checked the OS update and it is up to date, so no OS download. I installed battery doctor, clean master and cm security and with everything turned off manually and by these apps, I still have this constant internet traffic over wifi.
Just to make an idea about what I am talking here: over weekend I had 135mb (wifi at home) and only Monday I had 731mb (wifi at work) and 50mb (wifi at home)
When I look at Data Usage, first line is Android OS.
What can I do to stop this transfer? Can it be something from work? Can it be something from my phone? I am thinking to do a factory reset, but the phone is just 1 month old.
Galaxy S6 :: Error 905 When Downloading Large Apps
May 2, 2015Recently got the unlocked Galaxy S6 but every time I've tried to download large apps (Asphalt 8 and Monument Valley) from the Play Store I've been getting an error 905. I've erased cache and cleared data from the Play Store but it keeps doing it. Had to refund Monument Valley, in fact. I've got the 32GB version by the way. I've searched for this error but it seems to only have affected old devices where internal memory was a problem.
I solved this by keeping the screen on while downloading and installing Asphalt 8 and not using the device till it had finished installing.

Jul 17, 2015I started using Onedrive and enabled automatic upload with wifi. I noticed when taking pictures and connected to wifi that Onedrive starts downloading almost immediately. Is there anyway to have the Onedrive App download at specific times (or even have any options) or should I look at a different App on the market that might handle uploads more to my preferences? I don't need my phone hanging on uploads as I'm trying to take pictures.
I guess the other option is to take it off automatic and just remember to do it myself every now and then.

Dec 1, 2015I have an S6 (AT&T) and it is downloading to my phone random txt files without even opening any apps!
The two that are being downloaded are ScenenUserSleep.txt and miniclipld.txt
I removed the Pool game app from my phone (made by miniclip) and it seems to stop the miniclipld.txt from downloading but the other one I cannot stop!!!
Why is it doing this and how do I stop it??

Jul 5, 2015Issue I'm currently experiencing with my S6.
My phone ran out of battery so I put it on charge, as normal. Upon returning to my phone 30 minutes later it was on a bright, light blue / green screen that said "Factory Mode" in the top left corner and "Downloading - Do Not Turn Off Target" in the centre. I left this for an hour as I couldn't do anything, and it is still the same? Can't even turn the device off, or on.
I've not even had the phone a month, only have a handful of social media apps and last used it to take photos. Phone ran out of battery again. Rebooted after a charge and it is fine.

(I know now i need a usb restore as well, but...) I switched it off, and used Vol Up + Home + Power and it entered the downloading screen and i said: "Yes, reset this thing" it started downloading (I think) so i put it aside.. but I think the battery was running low because when i checked back a couple minutes later everything was black, and has been since.

Apr 24, 2012I just upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S2 to ICS (XEU version) and since then the Android email application has been constantly downloading data in the background. It's used 500mb in 24 hours, although it's only downloaded a few hundred kb of emails.
Samsung want me to take it to a service centre to flash ICS off and re-install it, but the nearest place is miles away. how I can stop this because it's now gone over my data cap on my phone contract? I've no idea how to uninstall ICS myself!

Jun 30, 2012I know my way around PC hardware and OS's.My problem sarted when I went to the T-mobile update. Phone stuck on "downloading update...", blue text on white background. Unable to boot into recovery, but was able to get into download mode. I found the correct ICS firmware update .tar file, but Odin 1.85 will not work. It always sticks on Setup Connection. Others fixed this by using differnt USB port and/or cable. Tried all 10 USB ports, nada; don't have another cable, but I'm out to get one this morning. I assume if I can get to download mode I'm not totally bricked. Only way I can get into d/l mode is to remove the battery, otherwise phone just boots to white update screen.I'm looking at a $200 brick! Wonder if I should just walk in to a T-mobile outlet and demand a fix.

So, here's the deal, I'm trying to download files from file sharing sites, mostly RAR's, I've tried downloading from MEGAUPLOAD, RAPIDSHARE, WUPLOAD, FILESERVE, FILESONIC. All I get is an HTM file if I just click, If I long click on the "download now" button and "Save Link" all I get is a BIN file. I've tried downloading on the STOCK browser, tried changing the useragent (about:useragent) to desktop. (This I don't think works, it's weird, I've also tried changing the useragent from the debug menu but the option isn't even there). I've tried downloading on the STOCK browser after installation of ASTRO file manager (ticking the allow download all files). I've tried downloading on Dolphin Browser HD (V.6.1.0) with the useragent changed to desktop and I either get a HTM file (sigle click) or a corrupted file (long, save link) I've tried using OPERA Mini (6.1) with the same results as on the STOCK browser.
