View 3 RepliesMy private mode isn't working! I've had my phone (s6) for 6 weeks tops, it doesn't give me a chance to do my finger print says it is unable to verify as soon as I try to turn on private mode, then I try my pin and says incorrect password entered 5 times, when I have entered the correct password one time! Is there any way to fix this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have only had my samsung for a week. I am an iphone convert. In getting to know my phone I set up a pw for the private mode. I moved a few photos into the private folder and when the phone shut off private mode did as well. Now I cannot remember my password and there is no fingerprint backup.
Samsung supports response Keep trying paswords. I realize I should have written it down, but I was slightly overwhelmed moving to android. There has to be a way to retrieve.
Every time I try to go into private mode it tells me "Failed to enable private mode".

I know, that can by fix by one Xposed module called XSecureStorage but we don't have (yet) working Xposed on stock Samsung roms (hope not for long).

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo, I had about 9 gig worth of files (pics/video) in the Private Folder using the Privacy mode on my S5. I wanted that space back, so I moved the files out of privacy mode to another location, then deleted them.
However, the stupid phone is still reserving that 9 gig worth of space in that folder. It shows as "other" in the "my file" and es browser app and when I plug the thing into a computer, windows shows that the private "disk" has 9 gig of used space, even though it is empty.
Mobile Data, Private Mode suddenly disappeared in quick setting panel.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI really love openness of Android and I always prefer root access on my Nexus devices. But I have read at a few places that, if we root our nexus 6p, fingerprint scanners might not work. Is it true? Will there be a possible solution to make fingerprint sensor work even after rooting in future?

I have a loose slider when i have my phone is "closed" There is a gap between the screen and the controller pad, that often when i use the touchscreen the touchscreen "clicks" because of the gap.Especially noticeable when I am laying down and have the phone upwards. Extremeley irritating.
I if turn the phone upside down, there is a play / gap that descends approx 1mm, and this is the gap that clicks whenever i use the touchscreen. a P
Is all Xperia play this? I also have a PSP Go, and there is nog such gap / loose slider.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I updated to lollipop...tried everything to fix issues, finally gave up and did a factory reset.
I pulled out the sd card first, just in case. Now that everything is back and running...I realized that the private photos (which I had moved to sd card) are missing. I've Googled around, no luck finding them. Even when I plug into a PC I don't see them.
I have just switched from Apple to Samsung after about 5-6 years. I have a Samung S6 but for some reason Ihave no option for turning on my Fingerprint Recognition. I have also noticed that I have no option to switch to easy mode.
View 1 Replies View RelatedPointless to have fingerprint access to your S6 if you have the camera shortcut enabled, you just have to press back button and you have full access.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI having trouble with the fingerprint ID! It will not work for me at all! Have to use the backup password about 99%!
I have an iPhone 6S and on the first setup of Touch ID; it works about 99.9% of the time! Not sure why the S6 is not working but I going to contact Samsung and see what they say! Not happy at all with the fingerprint scanner not functioning at all! Brand new phone too!
I spend about 2 hours and did all my fingers on my right hand and it just will not recognize any of them! I even clean my right hand with orange peel soap to get all the oils out of my hand and dry it with air until it was dry as can be but still no luck with the ID!
The one and ONLY thing I miss from my jail broken iphone 6, is the tweak I had installed that used the fingerprint scanner to sign me into apps, such as my banking, redbox, capitalone app, all apps not web browser based, is this possible on the S6? I've been looking and don't see the option ...
View 9 Replies View RelatedBefore I accidentally reset my phone the fingerprint unlock work good and fast. Sometimes it wouldn't read my fingerprint but it opened fast when it did. Now after the reset it reads my finger well but take 5 to 7 seconds to unlock the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA few months back I flashed xtrestolite to my g920i and have since flashed odex, deodex and several aroma versions in different combinations. Since the initial flash the scanner has not worked. Currently using the latest unikernal, though was using a different one when I first flashed. TWRP latest too.
When I try *#0* and try the sensor test I see "unfortunately, hwmoduletest has stopped working" lTrying to utilise the scanner will always show "an error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor, if this message appears repeatedly please restart your device" though restarting has never worked. I have not tried going back to stock as my carrier rom is 5.0.2 still.
Ever since i got my T Mobile Galaxy S6 Delivered a couple of days ago, the finger print scanner does not work. It keep displaying the message :
"Make sure that the home key is clean and dry, then try again"
Here is a video of the problem: [URL] ...
I bought the phone on Swappa, and the seller claims it never got wet.
I've been googling around and haven't found an answer on how the fingerprint data is stored on the phones and is it safe regardless of device encryption?
The S5 implementation of the data was horrible and Samsung is not to concerned it seems. At least Apple clearly outlines how and where the data is stored.
So, I've noticed lately after the AT&T update, when I use my fingerprint scanner to unlock, it opens my phome to a Chrome web page.... How to stop it?
