My private mode isn't working! I've had my phone (s6) for 6 weeks tops, it doesn't give me a chance to do my finger print says it is unable to verify as soon as I try to turn on private mode, then I try my pin and says incorrect password entered 5 times, when I have entered the correct password one time! Is there any way to fix this?
I have only had my samsung for a week. I am an iphone convert. In getting to know my phone I set up a pw for the private mode. I moved a few photos into the private folder and when the phone shut off private mode did as well. Now I cannot remember my password and there is no fingerprint backup.
Samsung supports response Keep trying paswords. I realize I should have written it down, but I was slightly overwhelmed moving to android. There has to be a way to retrieve.
So, I had about 9 gig worth of files (pics/video) in the Private Folder using the Privacy mode on my S5. I wanted that space back, so I moved the files out of privacy mode to another location, then deleted them.
However, the stupid phone is still reserving that 9 gig worth of space in that folder. It shows as "other" in the "my file" and es browser app and when I plug the thing into a computer, windows shows that the private "disk" has 9 gig of used space, even though it is empty.

I know how to set a Picture to PRIVATE. I read that we should be able to also Hide (Private) APP Icons as well ... I tried long-pressing on an APP Icon but the only option is to REMOVE it.
How to apply the ultra savings theme to standard mode without actually going into ultra savings mode?
Just wondering since I really like the black & white theme in ultra savings mode I just don't want to have my phone all the the time in ultra savings mode.
I have tried lightly pressing the power button to get this puppy to sleep, but the battery runs down anyway. So, maybe I'm doing something wrong. How do you get the xoom to sleep?
I'd love to enable the diagnostic mode in my Nexus 5 so that I can trace the radio interface with software such as QXDM, X-CAL, etc... but I've had no luck so far.
basically I'm trying to change the variable sys.usb.config to [diag, adb] as shown in this post for the Nexus 4. I'm doing:
(if you run getprop you see that the correct order is sys.usb, not usb.sys as shown in that post)
However, when I enter this command the phone automatically reboots... and the value is reverted back to [mtp, adb].
Do you know of any 'friendlier' way to enable diag mode on the Nexus 5? For example, in the Galaxy S4 you can just dial *#0808# to get into the USB config menu, which easily allows you choose the DM mode... but I can't find a similar menu on the Nexus 5.
Seems a bit absurd to me that a developer-oriented phone is the hardest one to put in diag mode... I am rooted...
So I updated to lollipop...tried everything to fix issues, finally gave up and did a factory reset.
I pulled out the sd card first, just in case. Now that everything is back and running...I realized that the private photos (which I had moved to sd card) are missing. I've Googled around, no luck finding them. Even when I plug into a PC I don't see them.
Today I've suddenly started getting a grey pop up with the following text:You must enable sleep mode in "Settings" -> "Sleep settings" settings screen.I haven't changed anything or installed anything new so not sure what's going on.
I love my Atrix HD but one key feature that is missing is the ability to enable and disable LTE mode. By that I do not mean just turning on and off data services. Many other Android phones have the ability to select the radio band that you wish to use. It gives the owner of the product the ability to move down to 3G or Edge service if he or she wishes. As it is now we are all forced into LTE mode.
C7-00 how to access the PRIVATE folder in phone memory?Meaning the folder C:private With X-plore you can see the folder but it is marked as 0 kb.Edit: reason for this is that I had Angry Birds installed on memory C:Then I had changed my phones default game install memory to E: at the OVI store setup in the phone. On Monday OVI suggested that I should update the AB and so I did.Now it installed the new version to memory E: and all my game progress was gone.Just need to see if the save game still lays on C:private20030e51.
I don't like the eye popping colors of amoled screen on my 6P. sRGB enabled in developer options makes it look better in my eyes as a amatuer pornographer. However, it doesn't stick and needs to be re-enable on each boot.
I have a Curve 8900 with a broken screen. I have connected it to Blackberry Desktop Software to get anything I can backed up. It appears to backup all application & organiser things, but wont let me sync music, pictures, or videos. Troubleshooter suggests that it's because I haven't enabled Mass Storage, but obviously I cant see the screen to see if prompts me to enable it. I have tried connecting my phone and randomly scrolling to see if I can click "yes" to enable it by chance, but it is just as likely that I have clicked "do not ask me again" and then clicked "no" as well.
Looking through the videos on the Motorola website, while using the camera they show using the 'Multi-Shot' mode. I do not see that. Is there some way to enable it?
I experience sth. very strange. My "new" phone seems in fact to be a used one, and now. I have strange private contacts, calendar entries, and text messages on the phone. All the data looks a little bit like "fake data", like data to demonstrate features of the phone, not like real private data. Bad thing is, however, that I removed all this nonsense, but after a reset to factory settings, the data appeared again! Nokia advised me to do a firmware update, but I'm not sure
When I first got my Z5 the first thing I did was enable the Stamina mode in order to prolong the battery power. But since then I have been very disappointed with the heat emmission, lag in the games and the battery life. When ever I used to play games likes Angry Birds Transformers the phone used to get very hot, lag and there was a major drain on the battery.
Last week I decided to disable Stamina mode to to check if it did improve my experiance with gaming. And I can tell you that the phone doesn't get hot (slightly warm), the game doesn't lag and the battery doesn't drain as fast before. Also last night I charged my phone to 100% and disconnected it at approx 10:00pm. Today morning at 6:30am it had dropped to just 97% without the Stamina mode enabled.
I noticed that when I enable the Stamina mode the battery drains randomly. One more observation is that sometimes the battery percentage gets stuck at 100% for a very long time with the Stamina mode on and then it starts dropping very quickly.
